E- Alright, alright. I'll contribute.

I don't have a 'Favorite' system really. My mindset is get whatever console suits you more. If all of your friends has an Xbox360 and it has the same games you may enjoy? Buy one! Don't have a lot of friends? Buy a PS3! Like Nintendo? Buy the Wii!

But I like to go a little deeper:

Most of the games that are on Xbox360 can also be played on the PC (As well as PS3). So I had that mindset going into this generation of console purchasing. Build a gaming PC to handle some great FPS titles (As much as I stomp ass on the PS3 controller. It just feels better on a mouse / KB), Blizzard games, and maybe some titles that are on the Xbox360 like Mass Effect.

For the PC. I can't wait to waste my life on Diablo 3. And I know damn well that game is not gonna hit consoles. Even if it did; I just don't think it will work right. Like playing an RTS game on a console (Red Alert 3 had horrible controls).

It just depends on your playstyle really. All of my friends who own an Xbox really want to have a PS3. Luckily, when they come over, I slap a controller on them and let them have a round.

That's not even remotely true....

the way science works is the opposite of that....

science doesn't create "fact".... it's tested theories that are true or not under certain conditions.... the only way to prove a theory to be true is to be unable to disprove it. So, you're not proving any theory to be true, you're only proving that you can't find a condition that makes it untrue. While that's not a BIG deal it is an important distinction.

I liked a lot of what he had to say, though I wish he'd been more blunt in his criticism of Congress' behavior. But at least he had the guts to criticize them at all, and that is something. I also really like his plan for financial aid, as there is a good chance I might have to finally break down and get a loan once I start grad school, but hopefully not.

Essential general education and major classes have been canceled. Faculty are going through furloughs. We're actually shutting down for a week in October, so no one will be paid for that time.

Near the end of last month, the state raised university fees 20%. All of us were sent e-mails and texts saying we're "past due" for an extra $400. If we didn't get it to them by yesterday, we were "disenrolled."

And amongst this all, we're still bringing in an Intro to Harry Potter course. New this year: Vampire Lit. They're going to read Twilight and discuss Buffy. No joke.
