He has a grammar problem because HE WEARS FREAKIN HEARING AIDS!

HEARING AIDS PEOPLE!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY LONG TERM MEMORY?

That aside, FX, you also dig yourself into a hole....

1. You say its a prequel and can not explain why the Halo's were built and why we are at war with the covenant... If it is a prequel, it better well damn explain more in detail about these things, after all, it is set BEFORE Halo 1 HAPPENED!

2. If they are smart, we will play BOTH sides of the story again, allowing use to understand what is trully happening. The Covenant was already on the Halo long before we found it, that was their weapon to bring their Holy Crusade against us to a end, but we found it way before they could get it operational and attack us with it.

3. Seticus wants a game with action, but he also wants a decent storyline! Fire Emblem has action AND a storyline that makes you feel a part of the universe filled with other characters, unlike in Halo where you are basically a one man army almost all the time. I like Halo and Halo 2 simply because of the frantic gun fights between you and 10 enemies with better guns then you. To bad all I need is a brute shot to cleave through the entire game using only melee except on the aerial dudes.

4. Can we stop the flameing now? Both sides like games of different quality. FX, you like games with alota action and the story can be lacking in some parts. Seticus, you like Action with Storys that pull you into that realm and make you feel important. I know that neither of you will back down, so really, why do you keep trying to make people believe your side? Yelling at each other is not going to make anyone else believe your side in the end, so just peacefully put up your comments and respond in kind already!

Moving past that, I really want to know how they will do the vehicle system. Will you need to supply Marines to empty tanks and warthogs to get them moving, kinda like a Warcraft system. But seriously, if you can play as covenant, why cant you just land a army of scarabs on the battlefield and totally own everything? Scarabs arent invincible, but you need to land tricky hits to bring one down (i.e. killing the piolts and blowing up the controls).

Where will this be taking place exactly? On another planet I would have to assume, it wasnt until Halo 2 that they really invaded Earth in full, but they quickly left when they got what they came for.

Desroth smirked. Fire was nothing he had to fear, after all, he had fought other people who specialized in fire and triumphed over them.

The fire energy raced down the wip and into Desroths sword, also hitting his arm. The fire surged into his body, but he was shocked by something else. His arm was racked by electricity, he gasped in pain before his arm went numb. His hand fell off the sword, leaving it tangled up by Oebuss's wip.

His right arm fell limp. The shocking after touch of the fire wasnt enough to permantly put his arm out of use forever, but it was clear that he wouldnt be using it for sometime.

"Heh, that was pretty smooth Oebuss, but your plan didnt quite work out. I do admit I was shocked by the fact that I couldnt get rid of that shocking part of the fire. I may have to step my game up a little."

Desroth kneeled down on the ground as he brought his wings down around his body. They seemingly vaporized into energy, forming a small dome of void energy around him. No light could penetrate the blackness around Desroth, making anything that was going on in there unviewable to anyone outside the dome.

The dome could repel weaker attacks and survive against some moderate power attacks.

None of that was important, since something was happening inside the dome itself that would soon be revealed...

I second the motion on who cares... Celebrites are a bunch of windbags that think their opinons are far better then anyone elses. So what if she wants to spray gold on herself? Let her spend her money on worthless endevors that people in 3rd world nations hate us for!

Thanks for perpatuating the downfall of our civilization you celebrities!

PS: Before you jump on me for being overly pesimistic, it is the truth. And btw, I vote for the no existant category of who cares!

Lets list some more reasons I vote for who cares to cover all my bases!

1. Not really any of my buisness what they blow their money on...
2. I have my own problems, why do I need to stress over someone who sprays gold on themselves, even if it is a lie or is the truth.
3. No, not awsomeness. After a while, all those chemicals she gets sprayed on her will stain her skin that and or make her ill from the poisioning it will cause. Yeah, really tiny gold fragments in a liquid can absorb into your body, and I dont really think gold does so well in your body...

Lastly, I do not claim to be a doctor, I am just going by what I know through osmosis and such. Now lets move on now to other peoples opinions on this shall we!

Battlefield 2142 looks like it will be really good. I was kinda let down by BF 2, I mean, it was good and all but it just felt like a totally different game then what battlefield was. I did like that field commander role though, made it feel like you had someone watching your back all the time (so long as you had voice chat).

BF2142 hopefully will take BF2's ideas and refine them into a sweet game. Besides, I want to ride a mech into the thick of a battle and tear some major ass.

*sigh* Not even going there since I said lets move on to others opinions. This is my opinion, so stop stiffiling it. People can feel however they want to feel, go ahead, I just feel like it isnt such a earth shattering thing. A negative opinion on a subject is still a opinion, and frankly .SK, your post makes me feel like you are trying to silence me in the long run.

Now please, let us continue with others opinion on the topic at hand. Me and .SK have already had a chance to voice ours.

This topic has rather recently started to bother me. What do you all really consider to be a opinion here? Do you think opinions should only be good things, or do you think opinions should be what you really think and feel? I want to know and so does everyone else for that matter.

Few Rules on this Debate:

First post should atleast say what you think a opinion is, stating facts and such, then you can start debating others views on opinions. Dont just suddenly appear and rip somone to shreds without first introducing your concept of a opinion. This will be orderly and in good taste to finally once and for all make everyone aware exactly what you think about this. Frankly, im tired of people misinterpreting things and beating a dead horse over the stupidest things like their own opinions and feelings...

LET THE DEBATE BEGINITH!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Opinions in my mind are whatever you personally believe. They are your own thought processes and are unique to your own person. I also believe that when you ask for someones opinion on something, you should honor it instead of trying to stamp it out because it raises contrevorsey. Without people voices their opinions, no one would be where they are at today. In fact, we would still be part of jolly good England if we never spoke out against England in a negative way.
Simple as that. Next person post and critique!
Yeah, I see how some opinions are just morally wrong to others and you shouldnt broadcast them. But it is a double edged sword when it comes to opinions.
Don't ask for a opinion if your not ready to handle it.
I think that is what is wrong with some people. They ask for a opinion, then get angry when you give them something they didnt want to hear. I guess that covers any morally wrong opinions as well. Dont ask a KKK member what he thinks about African Americans, Jewish people, etc if you dont want to hear what he has to say!
Japanese isnt neccisarily that difficult to learn to speak it, but writing it... Holy lord is that the hardest part. 2 different sets of symbols (Hiragana and Katakana) and Kanji are used together to form what you are saying. I think of it like this: Kanji gives you the shape of what your saying, katakana names it, and Hiragana simplifys the kanji and gives full meaning to the sentence. I dont know if that is really true, but thats what I get when I started learning. By the way, as any Japanese student will probably tell you, learning kanji is the hardest part of the language. Some schools have you learn like 300 a week or so, but there are so many different kanji, you could never learn them all. Most japanese people only know 2,000 or slightly more, which is startling considering that it is their actual language.
Then you got kanji that shape and name at the same time, like on store fronts. It all gets confusing when you look at it trying to self teach yourself like I am, but I guess VG could help us out a little? Unless there is someone else learning japanese that would gladly help...
That sounds like they were looking at Modern Warfare when they made this game (Tom Clancy's Modern Warfare game for the X-Box and 360 of course). Looking at it some more, I dont know if they are going to be able to capture the same level of warfare though as in BF42. In 1942 online play, you feel like your actually part of a massive battle across the playing field. I think people who play the Al Amenen (the huge desert one where both sides start off on oppisites sides of the field and in oppisite corners). The initial push out with all the tanks makes it feel like it really is a war out there and your ass is about to be handed to you.
2142 on the other hand, doesnt look like it will have that gigantic scale like 1942 did. I dont know if that is true or not, but from what ive seen, it looks like your just fighting in cities and it all seems much more confined to me. Maybe its just what ive seen, that may not be true at all (though I do want to fly one of those new helicopters around the city and kill things)
Science and the general population are afraid of the unknown that they choose to put labels on everything and try to make sense of things that you can not label.
Homosexuality is feeling a attraction to the same sex and being with them in love. The term Homosexuality is 2 terms, Homo meaning same and sexuality meaning to pertain to or be about sex and or being in love with someone sexually/what gender you like to be with. How is there any form of chemical imbalance in this equation? If it is a imbalance, how come there isnt a pill to fight homosexuality? We have pills to fight everything from aches and pains to depression, but yet we cant make a pill to cure homosexuality? Ill tell you why! Homosexuality has nothing to do with chemical imbalances, it is about who you chose to love. Science is afraid of anything different and they try to cover it up with lies.
That is just my opinion on the matter. My mothers best friend is a lesbian. I have asked her why she is a lesbian, and she said it is becuase all the men in her life have treated her like shit and the only person who actually loved her was her girlfriend. They both liked eachother alot, and eventually became lovers. Now you cant tell me that a "chemical imbalance" occured because all the men she went out with treated her like dirt. Im not buying it for a instant.
But back to the original topic. Morals are what you believe it is. Good and evil are merely words that carry a meaning that we place on them. The terrorists see themselves as good guys, while we view them as bad guys. Homosexuality is only immoral if that is what you believe. Back to my mothers friend, she basically runs a small christian church for gays and straights, though christians and catholic based religons say that homosexuality is a sin and you will go to hell. There is no exact line in the bible that says this, but the power hungry bishops of the time wanted to stamp out everything that could possible contradict them and rise up to them by saying to the uneducated masses the being in love with the same sex was wrong in the eyes of god and you would be sent to hell.
In short: Morality is what you believe to be right and wrong. If I was raised as a thief and taught to steal, I wouldnt think what I was doing was wrong, but the rest of society would view me as being morally wrong.
I know this is a really lame example, but it gets the point across... Bakura from Yugioh World of Memories *the older looking thief Bakura from the past* carries a spirit that is good, but uses it for evil. He says that if all it takes to command a good spirit is to fight for justice, then he can fight for his own type of justice (albeit that he is actually fighting for revenge and power, but that is what he believes is justice).
Morals vary from person to person. Someone who finds nothing wrong with commiting crimes and stealing things, and actually steals things and commits crimes, would not see himself as a criminal (someone who is morally and criminally wrong), but rather as someone who is normal. The rest of "civilized" society would see him as being a criminal. A good example that you brought up was Robin Hood. He was not raised to be a thief, but he finds it perfectly okay to steal from people (although they are rich and dont give money to the poor, it is still viewed as wrong by the "civilized" upper class of that time). You do not play god when you have different morals from the rest of the society you live in, you simply live your life by what you know is right and wrong.
Morals: What you personally know to be right and wrong based on your experiences, your upbringing, or status in society.
Another example would be something like this:
People in Eroupe go nude at almost all of their beaches since they do not find the human body offensive or vulgar to be seen unclothed in public on a beach. If they came to America and went to the beach here, assuming they do not know about american beaches which is highly likely in some parts of Eroupe, they would come out onto the beach naked. To the foreign person who is naked, he/she thinks that this a perfectly acceptable thing to do, while the americans on the beach would be highly offended and call the cops to arrest this naked person for indecent exposure. Now then, based on the morals that both parties hold, we can see both are totally different on the same topic (Being naked on a beach). Eroupeans dont find it wrong at all to be naked on a beach, while us americans find it totally offensive.
Name: Scain, just Scain...
Age: 21
Height: 6'0
Hair: Long and black, but he wears a type of robe with a hood, and he almost always keep his hood covering his face besides his mouth.
Eyes: Neither of his eyes are working, he relys on his magical inutition to percieve the world (which is slightly better then seeing things with normal eyes)
Weak Abilities: Telekentic powers, able to exude a weak type of control over objects; and even people for a very brief flash of time.
Strong Abilities: He opens his eyes, allowing him to use his full powers. He can create weak shields, manipulate objects larger and heavier then before, and he can persuade people to do what he wants better then at the first stage.
*Note* He can use small blasts of psychic energy at both stages to hit the opponent slightly further away then his fists can reach. This range extends at second stage.
Background: He was born blind and was raised by parents who practiced magic. In order to continue his studies, he found he could take his magic and increase his minds powers to a level that could allow him to see like normal people. He eventually traveled to China and studied under a meditation master to hone his abilites further to what he is now.
A mysterious figure had been watching these 2 people out on the sidewalk for some time now. The girl seemed to want to get away from this man but the man wasnt giving up. It had to be something with that house, since the girl was always looking at it and trying to move towards it.
So, I was right about this. I didnt just dream it up that I was suppose to come here on this night... Though I cant just leave this women with this man, something about him seems different...
He stepped out from where he was hiding and walked across the lawn to the two people. His robe was a simple white cotten cloth, and the robes hood was pulled down over his face, only revealing his very light skin and his sharp cut mouth.
"Hey you. I dont think she wants to be near you anymore, so why dont you just walk away right now?"
He stopped, standing only a few feet away from the two on the lawn. His mouth was was slightly scowling as he waited for the answer...
Scain was taken back by Munes comments, what was wrong with wearing a cloak at night?
"I am sorry to have misunderstood what was happening here. My, shall we say, sight is easily clouded by my chivalry. My name is Scain, I have recently returned from a long stay in China by a feeling I had."
Scain could sense that each of these people had some sort of strange aura around them, perhaps they to had powers similar to him.
As he still had his head looking at Mune, he saw someone infront of the house. He could make out some features of the person, but he didnt know who it was.
"Who is that infront of that house? I came back here called to this place, and I intend to find out why. But seeing as how your here, it would be best to learn your names first."
This sounds good, ill post up a character in the near future, but there is one thing that is bugging me...
There are 3 people in that video, so wouldnt there be 3 kingdoms in it and a fourth that is the enemy no one can play as? Just a outside observation, I really dont care either way on that, this idea is still shaping up to be really good.
Oh, and one more note: Is this going to be more of a massive sim battle? The last time something like this tried to take off, it turned to mush...
The story isnt all about killing people using the Death Note. The first part is where the police start to investigate who is doing (although why would anyone suspect that Light was doing it in the first place exactly? Its not like anyone was near the criminals when they died that did anything to them...) I think it starts to delve down further since Light finds other people who see Shinigami or something. Then I think there is a point where this one guy is gay for Light or something, but im not sure. I just know the plot is so large you basically need to read all of it, then get a PHD on Death Note. Either that or you just give up your life and read it down to the very last letter...
Anyway, it seems interesting enough. I dont really like the art style though, seems to weird for my taste. I think it has something to do with the fact they never say if Light is sane or insane, or if he is good or evil
Toxin blinked. He had instantly been transported to a new location. It seemed desolate in every direction, and his only companion was his enemy.
Toxin stared at Pheonix, wondering if she was far more dangerous then she appeared to be.
"Are you just going to stand there and look sexy all day or are you going to do something?"
He thought for a second, he couldnt attack first. He had no clue what this strange person could do in battle, and with a name like Pheonix, it had to be something about fire.
OOC: Errr, I guess Kaijin is out of this, maybe it can be worked into the story somehow so his character disappears without a trace and he cant be found or something???
BIC:
Scain turned his head, following Mune's path across the lawn. He didnt seem to have heard Kira, but then he responded back to her.
"It is good to meet you Kira. What a interesting name you have, I may have to watch myself around you..."
As he said this, Mune had reached the door to the house. As he knocked on the door, something happened. It was nearly at the edge of his own vision, but Mune was illuminated in a strange aura, and vaporized into thin air.
"What the hell was that?"
His mind raced, were they under attack from someone or something? He didnt have a choice, he wasnt going to stand around and be the prey for whatever was attacking them.
"I am sorry you will have to see this, humans tend to take this in the wrong way you see..."
Scain pulled his hood off, as his cloak blew open, revealing a monk like clothing underneath. The grass below him began to blow outwards from him, though it wasnt wind. Three kunai flew out from a sac he had at his waist, all three of them levitated up around him. It wouldnt be enough to stop anything magical, but he wasnt about to waste his energy over exerting himself at a enemy he couldnt see.
"Where are you hiding?"
Scain glanced around looking for anything or anyone who may be nearby, and then he saw Kail by the house. He didnt know that if he was friend or foe, or even his name, but it didnt matter. He had to have been the one that made Mune disappear...
"Hey you, over there. You have until the count of 5 to tell me your name before I start "throwing" sharp objects. 1...2...4..."
Toxin eyed the flames. They seemed to be protecting her, instead of harming her. Not a good thing for Toxin at all...
"Nice show you put on, but I am still going to defeat you!"
Toxin sprang to the left at a full run, keeping ahead of the cracks. He didnt want to find out what they could to him if he stood still... He had to come up with a plan of attack, but he wasnt close enough to do anything to Pheonix. Then the idea came to him, he knew what he had to do to win this battle...
"Here I come, ready or not!"
Toxin stopped on a dime and immediatley bolted towards Pheonix. He stayed low to the ground, keeping his legs ready to turn, weave, or jump in response to whatever Phoenix threw at him. His right arm formed into a long spear, about 5 feet long, and he was determined to spear Phoenix with it when he got close enough.
