My attempt at bringing back the classic medieval/fantasy genre in RPs.
~~~
"War!" That is the word on everybody's lips. With two nations thrown into bloody conflict, the kingdom of Ulgath and the kingdom of Transmaria, hundreds are killed each week. No one is sure how the war started...it has been too long. Regardless, the war still wages on without any sign of either side losing.
The king of Ulgath is greedy. The king of Transmaria is ambitious. Who is in the wrong? With Ulgath's amazing military tactics and Trasmaria's astounding economy, the sides are at a each other's necks but incapable of killing. From this war, allies have been formed and friendships have been broken.
~~~
The sign outside says

THE BLACK HORSE PUB...DRINK AWAY ALL YOUR TROUBLES.

As if the people inside often need to be told that. With the war shadowing mankind like a predator stalking its prey, men, elves, dwarves, and all other races constantly come to the pub to drink away their woes and troubles. In here, they are relaxed and at ease for they do not have to worry about the next Ulgath pre-emptive or the tyrannical taxations of Transmaria.

In here...all are at ease...

The Black Horse is a gathering place for life of all kind. Warriors, Rogues, Thieves, Dancers, Hunters and Rangers, Miners. While qualls still exist, they are left outside the doors.

Welcome to the Black Horse Pub...where you can drink away all your troubles.

It is in this very simple yet popular pub that the balance of the war will be tilted. From this place of beer and women, an epic will arise and and end to the war will finally occur. It will be from this place that destines become intertwined...and beings of different races and occupations are thrown into a fellowship for better...and for worse.
~~~
Name: (something within reason)
Occupation: (Does not have to be mentioned above but must be within reason)
Race: (Does not have to be mentioned above but must be within reason)
All participants start in the Black Horse Pub. They do not have to know each other. While magic is allowed, it is true only if it is in very limited amounts and if there is a good explanation for how the magic came to be. Both the strong and the weak are invited to attend. Stay true to your character's personality and abilities. It'll make it that much more interesting for everyone.
The first few posts will simply serve as introductory posts where you get settled into the enviroment. Interact with the people there, order a drink, do whatever. However, after a few posts, the plot will officially begin and a certain event will happen.
Teamwork is essential. The odds that will be placed against each character will be immense.
Have fun.
~~~

Name: Sparda Hellsing (pre-chaoticdeath)
Occupation: Knight of Ulgath
Race: Human

Young Sparda looked around, wearily, as he sat hismelf down at one of the tables and placed a silver coin in the hand of the lovely elf waitress as she brought him a drink. He had a sad expression on his face; those dark brown eyes of his seemed to tell a tragic story. So much sadness for such a youth.

Sparda was a tall man, dressed in light chain mail armor and heavy duty leather trousers, lined with even more chain mail. Strapped to his side was his rather unique looking bastard sword with an interestingly designed hilt and handle. He had long spikey black hair and sharp features with a light skin tone.

"Could you please call Mina down for me?" he said to the beautiful elf waitress. She winked and strolled away.

The Black Horse Pub, after years of astounding success, became rather large with three floors. The first floor was the dining/bar area where most of the people gathered. The second floor served as an inn while the third floor was for eager men looking for some action that night with one of the beautiful women working at the pub. Characters of all sorts sat in the first floor, talking loudly. The sounds of the glass and people talking only slightly drowned out the harp and voice upon the stage.

Sparda let all of this slowly sink in as he felt a pair of warm, comforting hands upon his face. "It's been a while", a lovely voice said behind him as a woman slowly took a seat next to him. It was a human girl who worked at the pub, by the name of Mina. She had lovely brown hair and dark green eyes. She wore a lovely gown, much like the other waitresses of the pub. Her face was heavy with makeup and her body with perfume. She slowly placed her arms around him, caressing him gently as he tried to relax.

"It's alright now. Just relax and drink all your troubles away.", she said softly...

"Patience is a virtue."

Sparda was silent and remained there, surrounded by his white aura as he watched his opponent foolishly try to take the initiative. Already, he could see that Murimasa left himself completely opened as he attempted to strike Sparda with his sword. A grave mistake on his part. As Murimasa descended, Sparda held out his left hand and pointed it at the incoming figure of his opponent. Before a single sword swipe could make any contact with him, Sparda let loose a deadly attack known as Decimate2, right at Murimasa's head with unprecedented accuracy, since the distance between the two fighters was greatly decreased. Any hope of damaging Sparda in the process with the Harbringer would be shattered since the aura around Sparda's body acted almost like another layer of armor that prevented penetration of his skin.

As all this was done, another pair of wings emerged from his back, extending to only about 5 feet.
~~

Decimate2- In many ways, Decimate2 is exactly the same as Decimate1. In fact, the only differences between the two attacks are the dramatic changes in speed, width, and composition. In terms of width, the beam is expanded to one centimeter. In terms of speed, the minimum speed in which the beam can travel is approximately 200fps+ [this, however, can be increased depending on how much psychic energy is used to launch the beam.] However, the main difference between Decimate 2 and Decimate1 is the composition of the beam in Decimate2. While the beam of Decimate1 is simply a non-elemental beam existing on the plane of existence in which the fight takes place, the beam of Decimate2 essentially exists only on a part of the plane of that existence. This attack is based off of the Law of One Divided Plane, a proven theory of his time in the land of Ulgath [this law is fictional]. The law stated that while one thing can exist on one plane, certain parts of that one thing can exist on a separate part of that one plane if the plane were to be divided. For example, a fighter dressed in armor and sword exists only one plane. However, the sword and the fighter’s armor exists on one plane, the plane being that of those that are not living and the fighter would exist on another plane, the plane being that of those that are living. When these two sub-planes are combined together, they form the present plane, containing both living and non-living things. The planes are differentiated by the specific life forces that every thing [living and non living] exerts. It is because of this law that Decimate2 is so deadly. Because Sparda is capable of tapping into whatever plane he wishes to [due to the necessity of a divinity being able to tap into the different realms], he is also capable of tapping into a sub-plane. In the case of Decimate2, the beam is formed, not in the plane if existence, but in the sub-plane of living things. In other words, the beam is unaffected by anything in the sub-plane of non living things [such as armor, shields, etc.] Therefore, the beam will not come into contact with anything but the opponent’s unprotected body. However, due to the extensive energy needed for such a sudden burst attack, its accuracy is extraordinarily limited when shot at something beyond eight feet of the source in which the beam was unleashed. Also, because launching the beam and tapping into the sub-plane both require massive amounts of concentration, Sparda’s psychic powers are completely shot for approximately two turns [including the opponent’s].It is often quite impossible for the opponent to absorb this blast since the beam contains a special ‘x element’, which prevents in the interference of its particle/wave structure.

if this is true, then this thread should probably be deleted and you should send the link to the people who you think would actually care about this comic. The fact that you posted in a PUBLIC forum means that anybody has the right to post their opinion. But the fact that you tell others to 'go to hell' whenever they do not give it a good comment probably means you aren't quite ready for any real CC.

Anyway...

I think the comic is ok. I'll try to hold back on any real CC until i see more episodes/pages. Some of the parts in the comic right now seem a bit awkward though. But the art is pretty nice.

Note: I alone do not have to control the NPCs. Your character can also interact with them. You may also create some of your own.

Mina pressed her head against Sparda's shoulder, slowly unstrapping the heavy armor and sword from his self, revealing the simple clothing he wore underneath. A knight was after all...human. He closed his eyes and tried to enjoy her company, allowing her strong, yet wonderful scent and the music swallow him into a new world, as she placed his sword onto the table.

The sound of horses were barely audible outside...probably more guests. He didn't think much of it. Perhaps he should have. Suddenly, the doors were bashed down, as five heavily armed men, wearing the coat of arms of Ulgath, appeared outside the threshold. Their vizers were shut tightly over their faces, so that none of them could be identified. Men? Elves? It was hard to say.

Knight: "House of Heretics! Breeders of conspirators!"

At that point, everyone was silent, the music was stopped. Sparda sat there, rather quietly as he slowly reached for his sword on the table.

Knight: "Halt!"

The knight drew out his sword and pointed it right at Sparda, as he froze, his hand merely a few inches away from his weapon. Mina held onto him tightly, frightened. Sparda scowled, feeling a rage build up inside of him.

Knight: "By order of the king, you shall all be executed!"

Gasps from the pub. Some of the waitresses began to scream as the other knights stepped in and drew out their massive long swords, posed and ready to strike upon notice.

"What are you doing?! I am a knight of Ulgath! I demand to know what's going on!"

Knight: "Silence!! Proceed with the execution!!"

"...like hell..."

Instincts came into play as Sparda suddenly kicked the table up, as his sword went flying into the air. This sudden movement obviously suprised the first knight, giving him enough time to grab his sheath and draw his blade. And so it begun...

Spartan: I don't like the word rifle...but as long as it's logical and not overly powerful, then go ahead.

One of the heavily armed knights, as soon as the commotion erupted, immediately charged at Sparda, with long sword raised, poised to strike a mighty blow. Rage began blinding Sparda's focus and sight as he glared menacingly as the knight, a glare of fierce determination and of chaos. With his custom made long sword in his right hand, he stepped forward and grabbed hold of the hand of the knight, which held his sword. The knight seemed shocked at Sparda's swift movements. Without any warning, Sparda struck with his sword, a blow so quick, the knight simply stood there, unsure of whether it connected or not.

Unfortunately for that knight, he soon found out as he felt an unspeakable pain where his right arm was...or rather where it used to be. Literally disarming his opponent, Sparda stood there as the man shrieked in utter pain, blood gushing out of his the wound that used to connect his torso with his arm.
Suddenly...noises outside. More knights came rushing in, just as heavily armed as the five that originally entered.

"Did they send an entire troop?!"

Immediately, as soon as one of the knights took notice of Sparda and began to charge at him, Sparda struck foward once again, a quick stab at the knight he had struck previously. His accuracy was incredible as the blade penetrated the very small slot between the chest armor and helmet, where there was a gap. The entire blade went through the neck of the first knight and, through either extraordinary skill or sheer luck, penetrated the neck of the other knight that was advancing, so that both knights were stuck to each other, with the same sword through their necks.

One of the new reinforcement knights took notice of this and simply gaped in horror as Sparda continued this horrible butcher. Leaving the sword impaled in their necks, Sparda- was there a small grin on his face?- unsheathed the very sword of his victim, the knight, and in a single blow, beheaded them both, blood rushing out like a geyser.

Then...more noises. From outside. A horn? A battle horn...it's great roar echoing throughout the bar. At this sound, the knights that were still alive immediately ran out of the Black Horse Pub, leaving Sparda to stand there, picking up his bloody sword from the mess of the two corpses in front of him.

"...that isn't a retreat horn..."

Sparda noticed Cairoi stepping forward and talking to him, but he dared not move. His entire body was frozen as he simply waited. He seemed to be lost in deep thought...as if trying to figure out some impossible riddle. His sword was still gripped loosely in his hand, as tiny droplets of blood fell from its blade to the ground.

"Those knights..."

He spoke deeply and firmly so that all those capable of fighting could hear him. However, he never once looked back at any of them.

"Their job was not to kill us...I understand now..."

Suddenly, his eyes grew extremely wide as he spun around, a new look of fear spreading across his face.
"Shit, there's no time...how could've I been so foolish?!"

"Everybody take cover! NOW!"

And with that, Sparda immediately grabbed his armor from the ground just as what seemed to be a massive earthquake shake the entire pub. But it wasn't a natural earthquake, as everyone soon found out. Screams could be heard as a massive wave of large flaming projectiles were being launched at the pub from a distance. The third floor immediately caught on fire. Noises outside...another wave. The second floor instantly caught on fire as well and it was rapidly spreading to the first floor. Windows and sections of walls began to crumble as massive pieces of these flaming boulders came crashing through into the first floor.

I listened to a couple of their songs upon reading this thread and I must admit, I immediately became fan upon hearing just the intro riffs. My favorite as of yet is "Burn In Hell". As you said, the lead vocalist is very unique and I quite enjoy his vocals in Burn In Hell, especially during the vocals.

"This has gone too far..."

Enraged, Sparda put his armor on and jumped through one of the holes the projectile made and exited the bar, seeing the other warrior already doing battle. Already, Cairoi was surrounded. Regardless of how strong that man was, it was impossible for him to take them all on. They didn't send an entire troop...they literally sent an entire army.

"What the hell is going on...those are Transmarian soldiers...but the knights that entered the bar were Ulgath's..."

Feeling a little less guilty for having to do battle, now that he knew his enemies were his kingdom's sworn enemies, he dashed forward to confront them, sword in his right hand. A group of the Transmarian knights saw him and charged, axes and sword raised. Demonstrating the same unique swordsmanship he displayed earlier. he made quick work of them, striking at a generous distance, decapitating his opponents, rather than just wounding them. His extraordinary skills combined with his unique blade allowed for a vicious combination.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Suddenly, a sheering pain in his left arm...then one in his leg. "A sniper crossbowman?!" He gasped in agony and pain as he suddenly dropped his sword, and collapsed onto his right knee. With his right hand, he painfully pulled out the arrows that protruded from his left arm and leg, as blood rushed out of the wounds. Had the armor not been in place, the arrows probably would have went right through his entire body.

But now, it was already too late. He could barely find the strength to stand up. A large portion of the army began to surround him, most of them realizing that in order to achieve their objective, they'd need to kill those standing in their immediate path first. It just so happened that Sparda was in their path.

"...if I am to die..."

Sparda weakly held up his right hand, finger extended, palm pointing forward.

"I will take you all down with me..."

Then...a phenomon occured. The ground began to tremble as the armor of the knights began to change colors. Then...the most horrific sounds. The helmets of the knights closest to Sparda imploded, crushing their skulls, blood rushing out like a fountain. The other knights suddenly froze and stared in horror. All the while, Sparda's eyes turned a bloody red as he began to sweat great amounts of blood.

Knight: ...a demon...
Knight: Slay him quickly!

His hands began to shake violently...as more blood rushed down upon his face. No matter how many charged at him, they all suffered the same fate. It wasn't very long at all before nearly the entire half of the army was decimated in this fashion. Despite the great heat the burning pub was generating...Sparda began to felt cold. He had lost too much blood. His left leg and left shoulders were drenched in his own life fluids.

At last, he could no longer maintain this. Such sorcery was just too much for a mortal to handle for very long. The earth froze and Sparda collaped into the pool of blood that was his own as his world was slowly covered by a shadow.

The moment that Xeios' hand left his chest, Sparda suddenly came to, gasping. He bolted upwards, looking around agressively only to be met by a severe pain in his chest and arm. Immediately he fell back, his head resting on the ground. His short breaths slowly grew calmer as he adjusted to the pain of his wounds, slightly.

"...still...alive?"

He slowly lifted his right hand to his face and stared at for a moment, clenching it into a fist every so often. He sighed...

"...still alive..."

Then, he finally took notice of the people that were in his presence. He was silent for a moment before he finally uttered a single word.

"...where the hell am I..."

Sparda looked around for a second, recollecting his thoughts and his memories as if he had dropped it onto the ground. How long was he out? He had a massive headache from his earlier stunt. Slowly, he staggered onto his feet and leaned against the wall, breathing freely. He rolled up the sleeve of his tunic to look at his wound. Some blood was still seeping out.

He immediately shut his eyes and gritted his teeth as his right hand clenched into a fist. He seemed to be experiencing some pain but a strange thing happened. His wounds slowly closed up, both the ones on his shoulder and leg. Soon, there was no trace of the wounds in the first place except for the fresh blood stains on his skin and on his tunic. Immediately, he slumped onto the floor, gasping.

"...how many survivors..."

Fighters:
Kyo

Cairoi
~~~
Weapons:
Kyo has been armed with the Flail
~~~

Weapon Analysis:

Flail
The flail is a medieval weapon made of one (or more) spiked metal balls attached to a handle with a hinge or chain. There is some disagreement over the names for this weapon; the terms "morning star," and even "mace" are variously applied, though these can be used to describe other weapons, which are very different in usage from a weapon with a hinge or chain, commonly used in Europe from the 13th century to the 15th century. Its primary virtue comes from the fact that it is difficult to parry, and can curve over a shield which would block a straighter weapon. However, the flail was itself a clumsy tool and unwieldy for defense. Some advanced knowledge of weaponry momentum is required for a user to quickly recover from a failed strike since the flail often leaves the user at a massive disadvantage if he/she misses. However, one well placed strike of the flail is often sufficient in tearing the opponent apart due to the length and sharpness of the spikes of the morning star.
Full Length of weapon: 40 inches
Diameter of Morning Star: 8 inches
Length of spikes on Morning Star: 6 inches
Length of Chain: 17 inches

Long Spear
A truly superior weapon in long distance melee combat. Due to the extraordinarily long pole with a spearhead attached to its end, it is capable of reaching incredible distances. While sometimes difficult to handle, the spear makes for an excellent offense weapon and even defense weapon from a distance. Contrary to popular belief, the pole of the spear is actually very flexible, allowing for not only thrusting moves with the spear head but also several unpredictable counters and parries with the pole of the blade. It has been found that the true master of the spear relies more on the pole of the spear rather than the sharp edge. However, while the spear is very effective from a distance, when forced into short ranged melee combat, the spear literally becomes completely useless, especially if the spear is one of unusually long length (such as the ones found in long spears). Thus, it is often necessary for the user of a long spear to keep his/her opponent at a distance at all times or risking some severe bodily damage.

Sparda turned his head and stared into her eyes for a few moments, unsure of what to say. Flashbacks of his childhood suddenly displayed themselves in his mind as he was reminded of what he was...

"No...my lady."

He leaned his head back and closed his eyes for a second, allowing his memories to wash over him. Finally, getting the strength to stand up, he slowly did so, this time, his weak legs didn't crumble underneath him.

"Just a freak."

However, he didn't quite have the strength yet to move around. Thus, he simply stood there, supported by the wall. He reached for his sheath at his side only to find that it wasn't there...lost in the midst of battle along with his weapon.

"What rank?"

He stopped for a moment and looked straight ahead, as if haunted by another flashback. He bit his bottom lip, out of frustration and anger at something...though it was not yet apparent.

"I was a High Knight...member of the Five Dragon Knights..."

Sparda slowly removed his arm from Xeios' shoulder, being able to walk upon his own weight now. He staggered for a few steps but soon regained his balance and began to walk normally.

"They call me Sparda."

He slightly turned around to look at him.

"And you are Xeios...yes?"

High Knight- Highest ranking position achievable in the military for the Ulgath Kingdom

Five Dragon Knights- Five legendary knights of Ulgath, representing Ulgath's military superiority. They are legends to a point where they are sometimes even thought to be mere myths to the peasants.

(I think those are explained in my character profile though I can't be sure.)

EDIT: I just added in an entire section about the Five Dragon Knights in my character profile under "Misc History". It's not necessary to read them...but if you're curious, you can look it up.
