The Gary cole/oldman thing happened to me too, Cairoi. I would have been deeply upset if it was him. But honestly, mainly for reasons like Phoenix mentioned. I'm starting to see and appreciate him for the wonderful actor he is. So I guess it's more or less out of entertainment. I think comedians, like George Carlin, are different though. Despite whether or not we can ever know these people in person, and really know them, not at just some book signing, have a decent conversation and be on your merry way, comedians still seem to be better able to connect to us on a personal level. But i guess that goes with the whole making us laugh when we're down kinda thing...and comedians seem to push a LOT of envelopes, like Mr. Carlin did, that changed the way entertainment is forever. |

| Illegal immigration is something I wish I knew more about, but I guess even if I'm basing a thought or opinion on some false fact, I can be corrected, or someone can refute. So thats learning, right? :p
In any case...I'm on the fence about illegal immigration. One part of me thinks the states individually should be able to handle illegal immigration, because it effects some states directly more than others. But on the other hand, I also think that the national government should handle this jurisdiction. Why? Because so what if it happens in certain area moreso than others....they're still part of this country, and those areas deserve national protection. It's a bit off topic, but it's why I feel the way I do about illegal immigration, but I don't know what I think of where this country is headed. I am most definitely a patriot. This is my home and I love it dearly. Luckily, I still thus far, have the freedom of speech, and I will not use it to slander my country for the sake of slander. If I have something negative to say, I say it in the hopes of being heard and doing something positive for this country. (Not being like GreenDay, being angsty about the country, and then performing "American Idiot" in GERMANY. Like THAT'S freaking helping. They're public figures, and they're bitching just because it's the popular thing to do now. If you're not happy with the way things are run here, and you have at least SOME sort of public power, then stay the hell HOME and get shit done! Don't bitch about us to other countries.) Anywho....this country, to me, seems to be full of "wanters", unwilling to make sacrifices. They think they should just get, just because they're an American citizen. The WORLD, unfortunately doesn't work that way. Life seems like it's about constant exchange. You give a little to get a little. But no, people in this country want the right to have ALL the protection in the world, AND the right to do and say as they please. But I don't think the government is helping either. Instead of making out something like seizing proof of citizenship off of anyone, at any time, they make it look like they're just barging in and abusing you. Unfortunately, things are what they are. Whether it's looked upon as good or bad, you're still being told to hand over proof of citizenship. And, despite it being looked down upon, it still can happen, and you still must comply, or consequences will be had. Do I think it's right? As is? HELL NO!!! But do I think that for the general protection of this country and it's people, that some rights are going to end up being infringed upon? Yes. I think that's a necessary evil. But we ALL live with necessary evils anyway!!! I need to make money. So, I live with getting up and going to work. There are days I love my job, and others in which I don't feel like going, but I still do so anyway. I know it's something TOTALLY different, but the same principle is there. I don't know if this is just a phase or what, but I'm willing to give things up in order to have a better life. Hell, we expect soldiers to do it outside of our country, in dangerous, lonely situations. Why can't we do it every once in a while. I know most of this is off topic, but it's these kind of sentiments that prevent me from having a solid opinion of an issue like this. Technically, because of questioning my general sentiments, I have a VERY difficult time forming a solid opinion on ANYTHING in this country, so I gotta address them too, I guess. I don't think Arizona should be on their own handling this illegal immigrant situation. I think, instead, the country should make the immigration process better. Integrate more programs to teach about the country, how things work, the county's history, and how to speak English, how to go about making the transition to life here in the US. I know I know...these things cost time and money...but...I can't go downtown on a nice day without being harassed about saving the wolves, or polar bears, or trees, or ALL sorts of things! Technically none of it's useless, we are all one big ecosystem, but...c'mon. There is a way to do something else, and not add further harm to the wolves in the time being. This is long, and I went all over....but I'm in the mood to hear whether my sentiments are agreeable, or disagreeable, and why. People are from all over the country on this board, and things are vastly different all over even our own country. Because, it's not always the question of whether or not the issue on hand is right or wrong. Other things need to be considered first, and while they seem unimportant, they can very well, deeply effect the outlook on a specific situation like this one. |

| Alright, so where I'm living now, isn't so bad, definitely compared to where I grew up...
But let's see...my neighbors were always my family...I kid you not. I lived with my gram and pop and always several cousins or sisters at a time, right cross the street was my great-gram, my gram's sister and brother, and their assortment of children/grandchildren. A few doors down from them was my other grandfather, and back on my side of the street, right next door were my cousins, and some more of my cousins two doors down from THEM. And up until I was 11 or so, every other house in the near vacinity were all people who grew up there and lived there their entire lives, and everyone knew each other. Yada yada yada. With that said....NO ONE fights like family does. Especially with a veteran's post/bar across the street from me that my family ran. The cops were there so often due to family fights that my gram and great-gram got to know them and never sent them away without feeding them and even bandaging any nicks or scratches from breaking up any of the incidents. Hell, two of the usual cops went to the grade school up the block and my great-gram was their crossing guard! So SHE even went as far as to call their mothers to tell them they were alright! Yeah, I have PLENTY of weird neighbor stories. |

| Thank you!!! Ugh...I HATE using 0.8 Microns sometimes. And sharpies with prismacolors...*shudders** Made THAT mistake with my first assignment in Advertizing Class. Luckily, the teacher was real cool about it. I had gone to him before the assignment was due, told him that the item he requested we used, since it wasn't on the freshman kit I originally purchased and this assignment was due between checks, that I couldn't afford to get the markers he sprung on us last minute. I didn't phrase it that way, of course...XD So I asked if I could use the sharpies that came in the kit instead. He said no problem. When it was done, I freaked, came in the due date for crit. and he was grinning like crazy. But was REAL cool about it. Told me if he said anything to me about it before hand, I might have been more hesitant, and the work wouldn't have been a good example. He told everyone that he did it to me on purpose so I wasn't mortified, and then told me privately that he wasn't letting the sharpie effect my grade. He saw I got what the original lesson was, with or without using sharpie, and graded me based on that.
Sharpies = messy....THAT, and they're not true black, if you're using a black one. Some have more of a blue pigment to them, others red, so after a while, the work will look more red or blue...and if you used two black sharpies in one piece of work...oh boy. Your coloring is VERY well done, no matter how you did it. I love it. Not just the way, but the choice of color too. Cosplaying as OCs sounds interesting as well. Definitely need pics! Haha. Kuba is ADORABLE, and I absolutely LOVE how the shirt came out for Kyoji. I know you said it's not the way he usually looks, but it's still cute. And enigmas are always fun. "Hey, I'm cute and cuddly...but I'll rape your face!!! Muwahahahaha." XD XD |

Alright, so, I'm no Otaku. I'm in love with what anime/manga I HAVE had access to, but I haven't fussed over buying many things. I do buy things anime/manga related, but only when I happen to have the money...and I'm lazy about looking things up online, an would much rather talk about them in discussion...so, expect stupid questions... ...like this one... Did the Inu Yasha anime REALLY end with them just walking around going "We'll defeat Naraku together!" Like...really?! O_o I've only had time for OnDemand lately (I know, NOT the best anime) and...while Inu Yasha isn't one of my favorites, (Though I do LOVE the music for it.) I kept noticing that OnDemand was climbing in episode numbers. So, I kept watching the last, newest one, to see if it came to an end. Next thing I know, I'm watching the most stupid episode ever, they profess to defeating Naraku together, and next thing I know, OnDemand is back to the beginning.... Is that really the end? Really?! |

Yes. No...was born with uber dark brown hair, but by 1st grade it was like that (That's 3rd grade btw). High school I dyed it blonde for a role in a play, so technically, what I have now WAS dyed back, but has grown out. **shrugs** It's VERY complicated, because in the summer, it gets that uber dark brown again, but not as dark as the winter. People used to think my mom let me dye by hair when I was real little, cuz the top would be a different color. |

And yeah, truthfully, I hate when one player is blamed, sports are a TEAM effort, so I'm in total agrememt with you there, Elara. I dunno if it's because I'm an asshole and too hard on people, but I aways blame the coaching. Sure, it's not the coach that's out there playing, so I'm never TOO critical on the coaching if there's ONE game of crappy play, but then more than one in a row....seriously....get your guys together. That's what you're paid for. Their paid to play. You're paid to be a nagging asshole. That's how it goes coaches! |

| Hmm....I'm definitely all ofr something like this as well. I would like to see it instituted more like Cairoi was saying though, the teams, games, etc....MUCH better than just going apeshit and posting randomly for a short time. At least with banner contests and such, it could lead to more long term activity. Simply posting back and forth I'm sure could get a little boring once in a while, but when it's sharing things like our talents, such as who can make the best layouts, who's known for writing the best stories, best artwork, best sim battler, etc...I guess it makes things a lot more interesting. Who knows, maybe I'm just talking out my ass here.
But in all honesty, I'm all for doing this around Thanksgiving. I think for fun, we could go nuts with the shredding we keep talking about, but to go to this sort of calibur, the contests, teams, games, etc, truthfully, I think we should make it a fall thing. I know it's a long time away, but think of it this way, make it longer. Like, end of September to around Thanksgiving. Every year. Like some sort of annual clockwork. THEN, in December, after this "Shredsgiving"(I know it's a working title) thing, we can kick off the Christmas season with the Xeogaming awards. Let that go on until just after New Year's, maybe, and then we kick off each New Year with announcing who won the awards, and such. Again, making that an annual deal as well. But that way, we can also work on creating some sort of cute button/banner for each award that the winner can proudly show off in their signatures, profiles, whatever, for that entire year (Or we make sure the actual year is in the button/banner, or something, that way they can keep it up all the time, and it doesn't have to be taken away by someone winning their award the following year.) I have several other suggestions in mind, and more reasons why I'd be for seeing it done around that time of year, but I want to see some feedback first. As far as the awards go, I know it was brought up before, and someone said that it's annoying tallying up the awards...trust me, I know. I did them the first year we did this. Everyone seems to forget that.  (Haha, just messing but really, I know what you guys mean there.) But, if that's the only deterence, then I am most willing to do the awards. I can make it simpler, anyway, write down each award when we decide what we're voting on, and then each time I log on the board and see new posts, write down the names of people being voted for in each person's post. Then, in the VERY end, all I'd have to do is count how many times each person was voted for in each category, and BAM! We got the awards. Will prolly take me 5 minutes, tops, each time I count the new posts, and then in the VERY end, 5 minutes tops to count up who won, and PM them to Xeo or someone.
