Well, the thing you have to realize is that with a character this insane, you don't necessarily have to have another character be human, or even, alive.

I could see him talking to, say, a soccer ball for instance, kind of like Cast-Away's Wilson.

Also, if you change this to a third person, then recognize that you're going to have to completely change the style of the story, possibly going over the same ground, but without the entertaining narrator voice you have now.

And yeah, flashbacks would be a bit too cliche. In fact, I'd almost say that you don't really need to say what happenned to the world. I mean, I've read/watched hundreds of ways for the world to get destroyed, and really then they all either talk about the dangers of technology or zombies. If your story was about the world, I'd probably be saying something different, but this story is about your character, so the story of this world is really almost irrelevant.

I'm sure you already know more about this than me, already serving in Iraq and everything, but...

Christians have been seen as the enemy of the Middle East for, well, frankly hundreds of years. If we really want to get past our problems with their culture, we probably need to show them that we're more than just the Christian infidels, we're Americans. However, I do think that if you went into a room without any Iraqis in it, there really should be no reason for you not to eat or drink some water.

So, I just started replaying Fable II, and I've got to ask...

What's this about combat not being fluid? I can quickly go from shooting my gun, to casting a spell, to swinging my sword with almost no lag in between. Sure, doing area spells is a bit annoying, but combat is still just as fun as always...

I just need to not get fat this time around. If I have to spend another week doing nothing but sleeping and eating celery, bad things will happen, xD.

Seriously though, like, one pie and I turn obese.

...

You know those certain Muslim sects I talked about in the other thread that I have such a problem with?

Yeah, well, this is worse. I can at least understand extremists choosing to fight those they see as evil, but pedophilia can never be justified in any culture in my book. I can at least understand that some people are so devoted to their beliefs that they'd want to kill for what they believe...

But when you go after your own, after your children...well, that's not just crazy, that's evil.

I'm hoping that after we resolve the current problems in Afghanistan, we go after these guys next.

Eventually? Obviously, we need to get off oil. However, I'm thinking we're still at least fifteen years away from being off it.

As for now though, there is no question in my mind that we need to continue offshore drilling. The more oil we get for ourselves, the less we have to buy from countries that, frankly, we're in a terrible relationship with.

However, its obvious that some oil platforms are practicing unsafe operations. So, yeah, we keep drilling, but we need to have government inspections of their facilities to make sure there aren't any more oil spills.

As for the BP oil spill earlier, that wouldn't have been nearly as big of a problem if we didn't spend weeks just sitting around wondering what to do. Along with the inspections, we need to actually have plans in place in case of an oil spill, so that they can be cleaned up as quickly as possible.

But yeah, stop drilling completely? Bad idea. But then, I'm one of those people that want to drill in Alaska.

A deer tick, no question. Tiny, unsquashable, it sneaks up on you and gives you Lyme Disease, and then disappears without you ever even knowing it existed.

And even if you do find them, its nearly impossible to get them removed without them vomiting back into you!

I'm telling you, these suckers (heehee, punny!) are scary!

How would the world be different if there were no ticks?

Well, yeah some catholic priests did that, but the main difference here is that pretty much our entire nation rose up in outrage as soon as we heard about it, putting an end to what they were doing.

I don't see anything like that happenning in Afghanistan. And yeah, men might have had to dress up in drag costumes, but that's a tradition going back all the way to the ancient Greeks.

Speaking of that, homosexuality in Greece is actually a lot more complicated than that...being a boy molested by an older man was in no way honorable in Greece. Yes, younger men were occaisonally in a sexual relationship with an older man, but we're talking more like around 17 here, not 9.

My dad is in charge of proposing and implementing new network programs at Blue Cross Blue Shield at North Carolina, so he's definitely very computer-literate. He has a seven foot tall bookshelf and several stacks of just computer/programming books.

My mother is about average when it comes to computer literacy.

So at first glance, they seem pretty well adjusted to the computer age, right?

Well, then we give my dad a TV controller...He has no idea how to fast forward, turn on Cable or the DVD player, turn on a console, etc etc.

And if you want him to plug something into the back...well, there will be at least half an hour of high profanity language before he figures it out.

My mother doesn't even bother messing with that.

Welcome to the restaurant world. Honestly, all I can say is that some costumers you're going to do well with, and they're going to want to come back again, and again, and again.

But then sometimes you have one awkward moment which makes a customer mad. And as soon as they get angry, you know they're not coming back. Just do your best to make it right, and then leave it.

Granted, because Phoenix did not, in fact win. Instead, Urban Astronaut just lost.

So the thread is continued, but you must respawn before you win, xD.

I wish to win this thread.
