| Okami is a game set in an ancient japanese-themed land, which has been beseiged by a terribly evil force.You are summoned by the protector of Kamiki Village from a statue of an ancient god. When you are summoned you are referred to as Amaterasu by Sakuya, the protector of Kamiki Village, and this is where the truly unique part of the game comes into play. You are a wolf.
Throughout Okami, you learn to harness the powers of the Celestial Brush, an ancient weapon that adds insurmountable levels to the gameplay, to destroy the evil that has overwhelmed this land. This game almost seems like it was made to show off it's visuals. Everything you do has an effect on the environment, bringing beauty to a cursed world. Upon beginning this game, you will notice the areas seem devoid of life but, in fact, it is quite the contrary. The environment becomes more beautiful the more time you spend on it. stuff like Graphics Story Controls Gameplay and Overall Ranking on a 1-5 scale I think it was... Looks odd |

| @Spartan: Yeah, its an okay idea. I've seen some people at other forums make a lot of threads like this ever so often whenever they play through a recent game (and I love threads like this).
But yeah, I always thought this game looked kind of weird. But it does look pretty unique. |

| @FX, I thought the title being "A review of r Okami (PS2) By Xeios" Was pretty self-explanitory.
@Spartan Graphics: 4, though it's not the prettiest game, it gets most of its points from its style. Story: 4, Extremely Japanese storyline. Taking their gods, etc and bringing them to life in the game. Controls: 5, Easy to get used to, but keeps a bit of challenge in actively using your paintbrush. Gameplay: 5, Amazingly fun, the mere fact that you can see your influence on the world around you is enough to keep one interested. and Overall Ranking: 5, I strongly advise you play this game!!! The game is strange and unique and fun and beautiful. It's all amazing. |
