There are several of questions of what kind of your favorite music is, but this type of question make thing "specific" by further breaking down into categories... Also, make sure you know which game it come from too. Just saying the music name doesn't work without the game title name either. If you don't know which one, just try to "clarify" it by adding detail to it. (Example: Fire Emblem 6 - Battle Preparation Theme or Fire Emblem 6, the music where you pick out your unit and switch weapon, etc.)

Favorite Base / Town music - A music that played where you are not in a hostile area and stocking up supplies, weapons, etc.. Few other thing but focus on the music that isn't where you can get into battle.

Favorite Battle Theme - A music that played when you are engaged in battle. But if it is a boss-specific theme, it does not applies here. Instead, the boss music will have it categories so put down your favorite battle music here.

Favorite Boss Battle/Theme - A music that is played by a specific boss during the game. Power-hungry Fool (Olivier from Fire Emblem 9) and Against the Black Knight (Black Knight from Fire Emblem 9) are an example of this. (Sometime, the final boss song is considered as the boss battle and not a theme.)

Favorite Preparation Theme - While this sound ALOT like Favorite Base / Town music, it's however, not. A preparation theme is where you get ready (such as in the cutscene like Final Fantasy 3/6 where they made the plan.) and/or change units (Fire Emblem 7, where you can rearrage your unit to a different position before you start your mission.)

Favorite Map Song - The music that played when you are travelling across the world. In case of restriction (like Fire Emblem), treat this as if it was a World Map because it MUST be you that control and move around the land.

Favorite Cutscene Theme - Music played when you are in a cutscene. Such as Henry seeing another person dying "first" in Silent Hill 4, must be restricted to cutscene only.

Want to give this a try, go ahead and put up some links if you can find any. But DO make sure that you are not making this the sound from other than video game and DO make sure that you put in some details whether you do or not know which specific song from which game title. Do not give me the "I don't know which game and which song", it is considered as pointless. If you do not know, then simply type it so.

I can't answer all of them for now, but I'm sure of is:

Boss Battle / Theme: The End of a Thought - Tales of Symphonia
Spoiler:
Battle against Kratos, very good song that makes you get into the battle.

Battle Theme: Hmm, can't think of much, but FF7's battle theme isn't that bad.

Town: Err.... most town suck.

Preparation: No idea what it's called, but there's a song in Legend of Dragoon when you got ready to do somewhere dangerous and stuff (especially at the beginning of the game, I'll try to link to this one)

Map: look at "town"

Saga Frontier 2 and Granstream Saga have a better music for the town.
Example

As for me:

Town / Base Music: Granstream Saga - Arona (Troubled Arona)
Example
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - For Victory!
Example - Roll down until you see For Victory.

Map Music: Fire Emblem 4 - Chapter 2 (Disturbance of Agustria)
Example
Fire Emblem 5 - In Search of the Victory - Charge A
Example

Battle Music: Unlimited Saga - Battle Theme I
Example

Preparation: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Rising Morale
Example - Roll down until you see Rising Morale.

That's it for now.

One winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children was my favorite (ok... not quite a Video Game but based off one so in my opinion that is good enough). Good pace and could be used in just about any movie or videogame's fight scenes. And I acctually think they play that in the final fight of the game too... not sure there.

Actually, I'll have to disagree you there now. One Winged Angel is used so often, it is starting to become more blanded everyday. Hell, just listening to One Winged Angel in Granstream Saga, or Ashnard in Fire Emblem 9, the final boss in the Summoner, Giga in Earthbound, Wild Arm, Intelligence Cube, Parasite Eve (50 point for Squaresoft another game), Eternal Ring, South Park, Silent Hill, Resident Hill, hell, even Saga Frontier 1/2 (another 50 point for a Squaresoft game) wouldn't have a better final boss theme if it is most of them was just like One Winged Angel.

But I'll admit Wild Arms 3 would use a better final boss song because it sound exactly like a "Game Over" song.
