This movie confuses me...

First they open with this teaser:

Which definately makes it look like a comedy, but then they pull out this:

Which makes it look serious, then today at the theater, i see a poster for it, that is those emergency instructions, but for what to do with snakes if they are on a plane....

I have no idea if this movie is serious or not...

Dude the story of how Samuel L. Jackson got the main role is that he accepted the script with out reading it. Why? because the title made it look so good/bad.

I just want to see it because I know it's going to be the worst movie ever.

And the title sounds like an alcoholic beverage.

Dude, that movie looks awesomely bad.

I am so gonna go see it when it's out.

That is totally kick ass the way Samuel L. Jackson got the role. I would have done the same.

And how does "Snakes on a Plane" sound like an alchoholic beverage?

when i first saw the title i thought they were being metaphorical, as in there are undercover agents, terrorists, cia spooks, assassins, ninjas, pirates, ninja pirate assassin spooks or something....but no....they actually mean freaking snakes

pockets and i are going to try and get in with two ball pythons (winrie and jormungand, they are so cute..)

Yeah, this is a real movie...

They had a whole lot for it at Comic-Con this year. According to the professionals in the booth for it, Samuel L. Jackson was handed the script with the working title, "Snakes on a Plane." He asked if there was any intention of changing the name, and the guys who offered him the part said it was simply temporary and were planning on changing the name to "Flight 105" or something like that. To this Samuel said that were they to change the name, he would walk. So it's stayed that way ever since.

Just goes to show the kind of sway he has in Hollywood. Hell, he broke George Lucas' cardinal rule of light sabers by getting a purple one as opposed to red, blue or green.

Anyway, the movie is an action/thriller about an assassin releasing snakes onto a plane to take out a target and Jackson happens to be a government agent on the plane.

I heard someone say the snakes were biogenentically enhanced or something to be
smarter or more dangerous or whatnot.

I'm gonna see it, and I'm gonna be laughing the entire time. No reason. It would just be fun to laugh my ass off in the middle of an empty Movie Theater.

I don't know about empty theater. I have a hunch that it will have a suprisingly good opening weekend. There will be no pre-screenings so the critics won't be able to rip it apart.

Heh, no pre-screening is always a good sign. [/sarcasm] I remember reading a newspaper article on movies that aren't pre-screened.

I am so gonna go see this on opening weekend. I already have the soundtrack, I love the title of it... "Snakes on a Plane: The Album"

The first track, "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" by Cobra Starship is actually pretty catchy. Although it bugs me that there's a Panic! At The Disco song on the soundtrack.

Actually, the theater was practically empty. Not many people went to go see it at the first showing on Thursday at 10:00 PM. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

I've been on the site sending messages to my friends ALL day. You can customize what you want Samuel L. Jackson to say. He even says there name. It's great~

Oh yeah...I'm going to see the movie today.

That is awesome. Problem is you can't send a message to a phone number twice. I sent one to myself to test it out, and then I couldn't send it again for my dad to pick it up.

EDIT: Also, he can't say my name. *tear*
