| Has any had a chance to see this new reality show yet on the SciFi Channel? It's another reality show, which at first sounded rather silly to me.
It's literally people coming as super heroes and being put to challenges by who else, but Stan Lee himself. Like I said when I first heard about this I shook my head in dismay, thinking what more than they make a reality show out of, but curiosity got the better of me and I gave it a shot and watched the first episode. It is as you would think, but it's interesting watching these people who honestly do want to seem to be actual super heroes and the ideas and themes they come up with. Some are really great other...not so much. Also, the prize their going for is enough to make most comic book fans want to put on tights and run around doing all sorts of crazy stunts (then again, most obsessive comic book fans do that anyways). The ultimate prize is Stan Lee using their character in it's own comic book (don't remember if it's just on issue or an actually series) and also they get to be in a SciFi original movie as their character. I'm glad I watched the first episode. I'm not a big reality show fan, actually, I generally avoid them like the plague, but this one is actually pretty good, especially since it's not just all pretty people making love triangles among themselves. It's early to tell how well it will go, but I'm going to keep watching for the meal while and I recommend it to the rest of you. |

If I remember correctly, Man-Faye was on there and said that his super power was his hairy ass. 
He used to be cool, but he's become ridiculously obsessed with himself since I first saw him, several AXs ago. He's almost insufferable now. Anyway, I still need to see this show. There were many promotionals for it at Comic-Con this year. (Last edited by Rogue on 07-29-06 08:07 PM) |

| Elara, the show is on Thursday either at 6 or 9, I forget which. As for examples...prepare to groan in despair:
Monkey Girl, Major Victory, Creature, Fat Momma and Cell Phone Girl are just some of them. So far though, I'm rooting for Major Victory...thought he is extremely cheesy at times. Rogue: Yeah, wasn't sure if it was him or one of his followers, but there was a Man-Faye at the auditions, luckily he didn't make the cut and they just showed him saying he never knew he had his super power till he put on those shorts. | Okay, I got the first episode of the show for free on iTunes, and I am hooked. It is a very well done show. First of all, I am extrememly impressed with some of the costumes that they made. Some of these are movie quality.
