"Now that's a very broad question, but let's see if I can't give it the old college try."
*Rogue winks* "Sorry, not very punny. Um... Upon leaving high school and going through one very eye-opening summer of self-discovery, I spent the first couple weeks in college pretty much being a loner and not really talking with anyone, despite being on the paper. There was one fateful day when my paper assigned me to run out and cover this event one of the clubs was doing for September 11. I went out and talked with them and ended up joining their club a couple days later. Through them I branched out and made friends with many other people, including the people of whom many of you are acquainted with today: Elara, Zabuza, WhiteRose, GuardianOni, Captain Jack Sparrow, and many, many more who aren't on the board. With them I felt many a heartache and a triumphant heart soar with many of the things they've been through that I've been there to see or hear about. Many a joke told, a road trip taken, a sleep deprived night gone by, a play gone to to cheer one up, zero hour screenings, masquerades. It's all there. It's all been good. Through our friend, Pat (used to go by Junkie when he posted on the board), I met my future Rocky Horror cast, Midnight Insanity, as he took me there on a kinda-sorta friendly date. Since then I had stuck with that cast as a techie and worked with them through conventions, the Rocky Horror Picture Show 30th Anniversary where my cast performed at the Hollywood Bowl and many other things. Through my Rocky Horror family I've attended some really wild parties, made friends with people across the country, drank and partied with many of them at our convention in Vegas, hung out with all sorts of people, interviewed Rocky Horror celebrities and become long time friends with my techie comrades in arms. Also through Pat I became acquainted with my now very-bestest friend of all time (Yes, I know bestest is not a word, but it is when I say it )-- Brandon (Zoso on the board). Pat introduced him to me by inviting him to come with us one night at Rocky. Eventually he and I voiced our mutual like for each other, we've taken to going on each other's crazy adventures, and it's history after that. He has since joined a band with other people from Midnight Insanity, all of which I feel closer to with each passing day. When it comes to my newspaper friends--man, do they ever vary with each passing year. They come and go so quickly, yet whenever my old friends come into the newsroom it's just chaos as we yell and exchange stories back and forth and laugh hysterically. With many of them, we've been through hell together, journalism conventions, deadlines, and still manage to make each other laugh. Navy is the best example of this. Her mother past away a couple months ago, but even during the time her mother was sick and even after her death, Navy still keeps a stiff upper lip and tells wild anecdotes with me. Through my own accord, I started becoming more acquainted with exhibitors and such at conventions, epsecially while working as one myself at Anime Expo among other cons while working for my cousin's anime merchandising business, AnimeTen. I've met and hung out with many kinds of people from conventions like San Diego Comic-Con, AX (Anime Expo), Wizard World, PMX (Pacific Media Expo), Lebowski Fest, Xena Con, the list goes on. Lastly, but not leastly (stupid word plays), we come to the board. Although I haven't met most of the members in person, I've constantly grown to feel a bond with them. My fellow staffers have become a family, Xeo has grown to feel like my brother as have Kaijin and Sparda, my long-lost brother. I joined a few boards not long into my first semester in college and came upon here not long after that experimentation. There are other obscure groups within my circle that I may address (like my larp friends, faire friends, acting troupe friends), but this answer has already gone on for far too long and I've already named off the bigger ones. I have a very diverse group of friends that range from geeks to gamers to goths to the transmundane to stoners (or drug addicts, in general) to the adventurous to the stubborn to the actors to that one kid in the crowd trying to be normal. I've always described my most inner circle of friends as this, "My friends are the ones who are in on an inside joke and everyone else is outside." With my friends am I my most open and free, as I can be a social vampire when left alone or among people I don't know. And with these friends, I'm bouncing off the walls and laughing about anything and everything. Hopefully that answers your question." *Rogue takes a long sip of her drink.* |

"That satisfies me greatly." answered Vulkar. "Now, our special guest. Ladies and gentlemen, I chose to come out and find a good friend of Rogues, taken right off the list of people on this board. One currently with a bad back injury(and a lot of Ibuprofen), one who will hopefully know just what to ask Rogue. I present...Zabuza!"
The curtain opened wider, and a third seat appeared to the right. Our of the microphone Vulkar muttered to himself, "I hope he won't come in though the left entrance..." |

*arguing with tech hands back stage: Am I doing this now? Where did my martini go? I am not wearing that tie with those pants. What? No, I didn't ask for a martini...I said appletini. Now? Okay.*
*Materializes a sword, and slices through curtains* I don't have the time nor patience to look for the opening. I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was asked to do stuff I don't want to do. *Walks over to Rogue, takes sip of martini glass* You look lovely, as usual. *Pulls out Palm Pilot, shows picture of Fappy, Miko, Zoso and chocolate sauce to the audience.* If we mixed Fappy, Miko, Zoso and Chocolate Sauce together in some kind magical, yet scientific, DNA device, would you still "hit it", and... *pokes and runs* TAG!! YOU'RE IT!! NO TAG BACKS!! |

"Damn it!"
*Rogue taps Vulkar on the shoulder and starts running.* "Tag!" *As Rogue runs she hits the curtains which once again fail to part or rise, though magically fixed themselves after Zabuza hacked through them.* "Damn continuity!" *Rogue blows a kiss to the audience.* "Goodnight, everybody!" *Rogue then disappears in an instant flash of light.* |

Vulkar shrugged. "Guess I'm it. She still didn't answer the question though."
He bowed, "Good night to all, and see you next time! I'll find Zabuza and tag him." (A mod can close this now) |
