Freya gave a small frown. "They're after your body?" She shook her head and laughed a little. "From all that you say, you my friend have a strong soul." Her eyes sat on him as her sly smile seemed welcoming enough for a person to be friends with. She patted the dapple grey horse she rode and blinked. "For a magical being, you really don't seem so happy," she kept the same sly smile, "been cooped up for so long you don't know how to react?"

She'd hit the bull's eye."I don't want to be royalty. I want to be on the streets, fighting for the people. Instead, it took me all this time to get myself to be able to lead these forces. I hate royal life. For me, I wish to live only for the people and for my swords, that is all. Instead, I must sit on my throne as my swords rust. Well, no more."

Allard looked over at her and smiled. He hoped a beautiful women such as she would understand the chilling truth of his words. He laughed softly and turned to face toward the path, focusing on the road ahead.

(OOC- Summary post containing information on the past 2 weeks for the Crusaders, as well as two new recruits who will be joinging us. You know them on the Board as Katana and Spartan. And I'm sure that you will not mind these late joiners.)

Two weeks had passed. Already our forces seem to prevail over the enemies' in numbers alone. The epic force of our Crusade wrought havoc across the land. The march began, and it could be considered a death-march, but to put it realistically it would be called a slaughter-march. The small towns near the border between magical settlements, and the pure righteousness of the European civilization were torn apart almost as quickly as the Crusaders entered. One village in particular, the village of Klarthu, which would ordinarily be classified as a city, was literally flattened in a days time. In this village, with a supreme display of power and tactics, the Crusaders boxed in and killed every last person. Whether they be man, woman, or child, all were shown the same amount of fury and destruction. The Crusaders not only have the power in numbers, they have also desensitized their warriors to kill on sight and without question. This was proven at the Massacre of Klarthu. Surely word had been sent out of the obliteration of this city, the Magical Forces would know of this, and it would cause them to be angered, raged even. Such to an extent that they would make mistakes, die foolishly, and follow their emotions instead of their leader's strategies.

The Pope sat atop the back of a valiant White steed. It's amber mane flowed elegantly through the air, and it's deep grey eyes seemed to watch the chaos and war with a bit of disappointment. Such war, though it was known throughout history, is never accepted by nature. Urban II smiled while overlooking the massive wave of shining armor, bowing to his presence. He held his right hand, the hand bearing the ring to the air, where a small amount of light glinted off of the golden part. At this sign, from closest to him to farthest away, every soldier came to one knee, Holding their right hand over their hearts and their left on the hilts of their swords. Many familiar faces were amongst the group. Generals, distinguished soldiers, any who had proven their mettle to the Pope was instantly recognized. These people stood out the most, assembling a team of individuals who would be his fighting squad for the war at hand. They would be willing to die for him and, even more importantly, kill for him.

"Great people of the Church, our scouts have detected a large fortress near some mountains to the East. There appears to be a gathering of troops who wish to destroy the sanctitiy of our life in that fort. The one they call "Fort Brenethor," I believe that this place deserves destruction, and will serve as a very bounteous vantage point for the remainder of this war. We Must take this Fort at once! Our sights are set on Brenethor, Come let us tally no further!"

A woman on horseback rode to a small set of tents where the camp was set up. Two guards stood posted on the outside of the tent and took this woman's horse as she approached. Her eyes glinted hazel in the nearby campfire as she stepped down. One flap of the tent was opened and the woman was motioned inside. She followed the motion quietly and stood in a chamber before a man in what appeared to be a cassock. He turned to her with a look of joy upon his young face. A coffin shaped object could be made laying on the ground in the corner of the room, and a rapier showing the sign of the fleur-de-lis upon it's hand-guard. His voice seemed pleasant enough as he showed her a congratulations.

"You did absolutely wonderful on the field in the past few days, Mademoiselle Sabrina Vine. I have the utmost pleasure to inform you that I am initiating your promotion to being a soldier underneath of me, one of my officers if you will. Though we are not sure exactly how you will continue to act when it comes to the larger of battles, you have proven to be a brilliant warrior on our quest as of yet."

Guy was rather happy to see a skilled newcomer before him. He was almost afraid that back at the Pope's chambers two weeks before this would be his only glimpse of apparant greatness. But he surely was wrong. This girl showed much potential, most of which was untapped, but either way, the coming weeks would surely have a large impact on her impressionable character.

"Well, I would ask you to stay for wine but I'm having a guest soon and I'd hate to keep her waiting. You are dismissed Mademoiselle."

The constant screaming and shouting of the CO(Commanding Officer) was truly becoming a strain on Chris' ears. He was being reprimanded for his most recent battle in which a stray flame from his fire spells seemed to his the CO himself. Not only enraging and insulting the CO, but making Chris himself be a great threat for the Crusaders. Who knew what to trust when it came to the nitty gritty, and friendly fire could surely be an issue. The yell-fest seemed to come to a stop after a good amount of time, but Chris' ears still rang. It was brought to the CO's attention by another officer that it was Chris who saved the CO's life and that instead of yelling over some burnt hair, he should praise Chris over the good job he did by saving the life of a Commanding Officer.

The past two weeks consisted of a blur for Joan as she made her way through the mixes and killed countless people for almost no reason. She was shown an enemy, and she was taken over by a murderous rage, she killed almost everything in sight. If her eyes laid upon it, she attacked it. Women Children, Men Pathetically trying to defend their homeland, and sometimes the Crusaders. Her swords sometimes fell into the backs of comrades, but her roar dismissed any accusations against her. Her eyes fell upon the swords. There was a dark red substance caked into the blood reservoir on the blades. She took maybe five days to come back to some semblance sanity from the moment her hatred consumed her. There were many aspects of her life she didn't like, but she could not think of any reason there would be blood on her swords. As far as she could remember she simply rode here, straight here with no detours. She was conscious of her killings, it was known that they were committed by her, but the memories associated with death were not with her as of now. She laid back in a tent, looking about wondering what the time was, what the day was, even what she had done just two nights before. Her life was merely a faded sense of reality at times.

All at once, as if stumbling upon a great epiphany, she rose and changed from her armor, tunic stained in the blood of others, into a corset, and then into a very attractive looking dress she happened to own. Her feet were bare, but amongst the luscious green grass they were not bothered as she stepped from her tent and walked to Guy's. They had a 'date' tonight, which Joan naively interpreted as a celebration of sorts. Sure, she was attracted to Guy, but it seemed as if it had not occured to her that it could be the other way around. She stepped to the guards outside of his tent and smiled, pushing aside the flaps for herself and entering the tent of Guy. A smile rose to her face almost at once and she tried to hide her glee. A seat was set out for her, near a small wooden table with two wine glasses and a bottle. Guy could not be seen, but she was sure would return shortly enough.

(OOC: I'm... back?)
IC:

Kirabo hadn't seen his comrades since his departure from Geiger two weeks earlier, nor had he seen any enemies until his fourteenth day of doggedly (in the most literal sense) advancing to Fort Brenethor. With his only defense, Allard's army, a day and a half behind him and quickly pursuing his tracks, it was up to him to rest little at Brenethor and continue as to serve as a sort of reconnaissance. With every pawstep Kirabo had a twisted hope for the Pope's army to be over the next hill. This sort of thinking was saddening, but the truth was that he hadn't any time to lie down and pick stones from between his toes. Limbs aching, feet bleeding, he ran onwards on little to nothing in his stomach but wine to soften the entire experience.

It became too much by day twelve. He hated to do so, but his body refused to go on any furthur. It became so strenuous that his power became inactive; even as a dog too much energy was being exherted. Forced to revert back into his human shape, Kirabo meandered eastward, going slower and slower, blood dripping from his dark palms. If anyone were to see the blood they'd have wondered where it was flowing from... and in the current area he was in, they would've wondered what the hell he exactly was. The way it was looking it seemed like he had nothing to fear except self exhaustion, but it was a bittersweet moment when he stumbled into the town of Klarthu.

One would suppose he came in after the battle and was viewing the aftermath. It was, in fact, the complete opposite. He came the night before the attacks. Falling head over heals into a pile of crates, Kirabo took his first rest since Brenethor. The wooden boxes were piled high along the side of a building, presumably a restaurant or inn of sorts considering the amount of garbage filling each box. He didn't care; he begain to eat, using bare hands, scooping remains of meat from days before. Soon after he found it was nearly impossilbe to not nod off. If his king had been there, he was certain he would've been scolded for not resting. For Kirabo it was no problem to be still and not eat for days, even weeks. But anyone, even those of magic, cannot survive for so long on foot with no rest.

He fell asleep amid the boxes and awoke to a god-awful reek. The garbage around him began to burn; the unexpected had happened. The streets and homes were filled with fleeing villagers and ravaging troops. Kirabo had all he needed, and before anyone had found him he had slipped back out the way he came and headed back to fort Brenethor with hopes that his prince had not already continued on. The position of the Papal army was definite to him, and in time would soon be to the army of Prince Allard.

Guy sighed as he walked through the grassy plains of the army camp. He had just finished confirming battle plans with some of the other generals. Now it was time to return to where Joan awaited him. Everyone saw her as a murderer, a heartless maniac. Few people save for Guy knew the true story, and he knew the true Joan. He sighed as a knight walked toward him with urgency.

"General, the Pope has ordered we move from the outskirts of this destroyed town to Fort Brenethor as soon as possible."

Guy groaned, the Pope was truly getting on his nerves.

"Then move out the forces. I'll be there shortly."

Guy walked over to his tent and walked in, smiling at Joan.

"So, do you wish for some wine, Joan?"

Deep within Fort Brenethor, in a private basement room, Allard was training with his swords. He wore no shirt to allow more movement, and he wore black pants and boots. He was surrounded by thick tree trunks, all spread out across the room. Allard dashed forward and slashed at them, severing them with one built up slash. He continued twirling around and continuing his momentum, cutting up every single trunk without stopping for a moment. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, staring at the stone pillar in front of him. With force, he thrust the swords at the stone pillar and stabbed at it. He cursed when the swords had not gone through the pillar, only leaving large indentations. He was not strong enough. Just then, a Feral ran downstairs, interrupting his anger.

"My Lord-"The Feral began to say, before Allard cut him off.

"Call me Allard." He commanded, smiling at the Feral.

"...Uh yes, Sir Kirabo has arrived with urgent news from the front." The Feral said, bowing.

"I see. Please ask him to join me as well as the other generals in the meeting room. Thank you."Allard said, walking over to the other side of the room. He reached over and grabbed his shirt, a green cotton shirt. He did not enjoy royal silk, it annoyed him. He rolled up the sleeves and walked into the meeting room, where the others awaited him.

"Ah yes, thank you all for coming on such short notice. What news do you bring, Kirabo?"

"Sir," Kirabo gave a salute with a bleeding hand, completely out of breath, "the Papal army is directly in the west, they cannot be more than a days march away. They've struck the town of Klarthu and have seemingly conquered any resistance along the way; there is very little damage done to their ranks. It's your call to either take the field and rush at them head on or to hold down Brenethor. I know not the fort's readiness for a siege, but it seems that is the route we're headed down. Retreat is also always an option, though we should prevent them from entering any farther into the homeland by any means neccessary, and retreat may lead them to our guiding footprints. Then again, if we lead them into the desert, there is little chance of staying on our trail. These are the options I have offered, but your final decision is what we all shall follow."

Kirabo saluted once more, a splash of dark, opaque red painting itself across his dark featureless face. He set to work on bandaging his hands and feet as he sat against the wall, awaiting orders.

"First off, I want you taken to the infirmary. Those wounds best be treated then let to be..."

Allard stared down, confused as to what to do. His blonde hair got in his face as he pondered what to do, what action is best. With a flash it came to him.

"Okay, I have a plan. But we'll have to seperate. There are too many villagers in this fort to alow them to stay here. You, Dolfax and Tara are to escort the villagers back to the Palace. I want you to leave ASAP. The rest of you are to stay here with me and defend the fort at all costs. If the battle begins to become hopeless, we will flee to Ottoman and lead the enemy there. If instead they march on the Palace, we will take a naval fleet and get there before them. Then, Those of you who escorted the villagers to safety will bring my father's army up and crush the Crusaders along with us. If all goes well, we will successfully push them back."

Allard smiled, sure of his plan.

:: Jiang struck the last standing soldier in a small munic town to the west of Klarthu, leaveing all in the village dead. Even though his mission was acomplished, Jiang wanted more blood. He rested his sword back into his sheath and began to pillage what remained of the villages food and good for their campain. A noise came from a small cubbard, causeing Jiag to once again draw his sword. But as the door fell open, Jiang only saw a small human boy in the arms of a hooded figure, the hood flew back as the person saw Jiang, revealing a beautiful young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. Jiang sheathed his sword again and turned away, pointing out the door leading to the back fields, alowing both to escape. The girl bowed her head and ran with the boy in her arms, as Jiang again began searching for food and valuables::

"You know, I've dealt with some strange things. Broken tails, wings, I thought I've seen it all. Now how in the name of God, Odin, or whatever the hell you follow that makes you look this way, is that blood coming out of a palm which is clearly... clear?"

Kirabo's head which had been pointed down at his feet came to eye level with the Elvin nurse who had been treating his wounds.

"I thought Elven doctors were the smartest things to grace this earth. You're joking if you tell me you honestly don't know."

Pulling the bandage a little tighter to show that its not all brains when it comes to her people, the Nurse gave a smile as Kirabo's facial shadows gave an evident wince. "Well you certainly aren't laughing are you?"

"Oh no... but I would at least like to hear what you assume I am." Kirabo said, rubbing his freshly bandaged hand.

"On a scientific standpoint you share similar characteristics in terms of weight, height, and appendage amount like that of a human. You have hair, not soft and straight like that of an elf's, nor is it course like that of a dwarf. You have human hair, but the color is something otherworldly alltogether. It seems basically white with paler pastel blues, greens and reds. What advantage that gives you over other species is beyond me, but you're the only one I've seen with such a trait. But the most recognizable thing about you is your actual body... its like black glass. You can see through it, and past the other side, but its clear that there is something in there that keeps you alive. You have no fingernails, but your fingers taper like that of a humans. If I feel your wrist, there is an average pulse, and while we're on that topic, you feel like you're made of flesh. So whatever you want to call your appearence, it seems merely aesthetic, or as a form of camoflauge. I'd hate to be one on one with you in a dark hallway."

"Oh of course you would."

The nurse gave him a slap with the back of her hand to the side of his head.

"You certainly have a very human libido. And when I hit you there, you jolted like anyone else would from an unexpected blow. You have a nervous system it seems. So my assumption? You're a human. You're not elven in anatomy or manner, nor do you lean particularly to the side of a dwarf in many ways either. And your'e here, in Brenethor, with news that aids us in our plight. I heard you were the reconnaisce man, but I don't know what sort of reconnaisance work requires someone to tear up their hands and feet so bad. You work for the magical, but you're human, but you're... magical looking. Is this all a disguise? Some sort of sick holy Pope magic or something?"

Kirabo lifted his feet and put them upon the table as to let the Nurse bandage those also.

"Thats it? That's all you've gathered? No sort of hint to anything else?"

"What else could their possibly be? I know a thing or two about magic and it doesn't look like you have any way to produce anything. You're human, as bizarre as you look."

Kirabo pushed himself off the table before his feet were completely wrapped.

"What're you do- what the... good gracious...!"

Kirabo began to shift into his dog form. The hair from his head engulfed his body and darken to a black color as his limbs changed shape. His spine bent and his face elongated. The clothes and cape he wore seemed to unbutton themselves and form into a collar around his neck, a bell at his throat in order to store the shrunken clothes. A tail grew, his ears sharpened with the change of his face, his fingers melded and formed their way into paws. It is difficult to describe in words, as any description will make it seem gruesome. But it was a perfected art; the only startling factor was the man you were talking to a minute ago had turned into a rather large, black Great Dane. He quickly reversed the process and returned to his human form.

"B-but.. just now... you had fur and eyes and everything, but when you're human, you don't... and when you're... can you..."

"Yes, I can do more, but time is fleeting and this isn't a magic performance, I have a mission and I need to keep my energy up. This current body is nothing but a walking crucible. Where I do have a pulse, a heartbeat, a stomach, it is not constrained to that limited skeleton that you elves and humans have. Because of so my body is on guard at all times, ready to transform, and if a human were to do so, they would immediatly die. My structure, internal organs, anything, its all moveable, shrinkable, growable. That is putting it in the simplest of terms. You elves are smart; expand your mind like I do my body and you'll understand that I, a Magic Human, am but half science and half mystery, and some mysteries cannot, should not be sovled.."

With that, Kirabo, bandaged properly, headed out to meet Dolfax, Tara, and the villagers of the fort, the Nurse left with too many unanswered questions; whats a feeling more analogous to war than confusion?

The last two weeks hadn't been the best for Dveris. In the recent battles, he had discovered that the speech he gave before they marched had met nothing to these soldiers. So far, all of them, especially Jiang, had been extremely violent. However, Jiang was not even the worst of them, as he just displayed by allowing this woman to pass through. Many of these soldiers would have hurt her.

He walked towards Jiang as he searched through the valuables. "Don't pick up too much now, remember that you don't want to overload your horse, and this isn't the best of the cities. Besides, aftifacts from magical creatures often contain magic in them, you don't want that." Dveris eyed the nearby soldiers. "Come with me Jiang, I need to speak to you."

Dveris turned, and walked into the nearby forest. Jiang would have to follow, that was an order.

Once they entered it, and there were no soldiers nearby, stopped, and attempted to slap Jiang on the side of his head. "Are you mad?!" he demanded. "Look at this slaughter, look at all those you have killed! Have you no conscious? Do you not feel anything when you murder these people, when you take their lives for little more than for the ability to pillage their buildings?

"I know why." Dveris continued, "It is because you are a psychopath. You feel no empathy, you care nothing for the lives of others! The lives of these people are just as real as ours, and we never, I repeat, NEVER take the lives of civillians, and if I ever see you killing women and children again, I will exile you from this army. I don't want to, you're a good soldier and the men respect you, but I will not allow you to kill innocents again!"

He stood for a moment, and waited for Jiang to answer.

Freya looked at Allard. "Allard, you know, royalty can have it's positives." She gave a sneer. "Some people would prefer royalty as welll, try to be in their shoes." Freya put a hand on her chin and kept the same look on her face. "But... I'd rather the person be strong, wise, and have a ton of courage to go through great turmoil. Class doesn't matter... at times." Freya gripped her spear that originally belonged to her sister. "I'd rather their weapons be made by the owners, if you see what I'm speaking." She continued to trot along side Allard. "Wish as you may Allard, you're royalty. Enjoy the fresh breezes that come by and don't regret ever being born into it. Though, the lower classes are a bit... experienced."

Joan's bright green eyes lit up as Guy entered the room. He offered her wine, and she could not refuse him. Erm...His request.

"Oui Monseiur. I'll have a glass. How have these weeks been with our war effort?"

Joan smiled gleefully, but as she spoke of the lack of memory of the war effort, her eyes fell to the left. She tried to draw from memory the events, but nothing came up, nothing besides a sinister feeling. A feeling that she would lose control. And she dismissed that feeling by gathering herself back onto the subject at hand.

"Guy, what is it that you called me here for, just a drink or..." Her mind fluttered, she was embarressed to even dawn on the subject, and she averted her eyes from his face. A heat was felt on her cheeks and they began turning a slight pink."...Nevermind."

Dolfax mustered a grunt at the fact which he was mobilizing the civilians instead of standing at the front lines. It must be better for him, especially if Allard specifically asked him. His golden eyes scanned the room, and searched for those accompanying him on the evacuation. He took time to note that this was extremely important and Allard would only put his most trusted men in charge of escorting the citizens. He bowed with approval at the request and smiled.

"Anything for you, My lord."

Guy smiled at Joan as she talked, pouring wine into the glasses.

"Not bad, Madmoiselle. Though the bloodthirstiness of the troops does disturb me."

Guy finished pouring the glass and heard her next question, which did more than throw him off guard. He looked around and tried to think of an answer, how to eloquently put this. Instead, all he could come up with was.

"Well...Uhm...You know, even in war friends have to catch up with each other."

Guy grimaced. Not what he wanted to say. Well, hopefully there will be another time for it.

"Well, The Pope wants us to move out to Fort Brenethor. Let's get moving, shall we?"

Allard smiled at Freya, Dolfax, Kirabo, and the others. He walked over to the wall and threw on his cloak.

"I feel the rain clouds rolling in. Get the entire fort ready in a few hours. Dolfax, Kirabo, and Tara, you know what to do. Kael, fortify the front walls with archers. Fardog, wait behind the main gate with the main forces with Freya and I. We only have tonight for preparations."

Allard waved to them as he looked outside, taking a glimpse of this city-like castle, soon to be caught in the throes of war.

Sabrina smiled nervously as she was offered her congradulations. With nothing to say, she gave a bow and turned to leave, her tightly braided blonde hair swaying side to side behind her. Upon entering the outside, her hazle eyes scanned the area. There were quite a few tents pitched outside and guards standing at various posts. She was a bit unsure of where to go or what to do at the moment. She turned to one of the guards standing outside the tent she had just exited. He smiled at her and directed her to her horse.

Victorious. Standing amongst the bodies of the dead, the Serpant gazed out to Dveris, and noted his comment about Jiang. With a sigh, he stood and wiped the spilt blood off his face as he walked towards Dveris, his black cape flowing menacingly behind him, like a billowing miasma of evil.

"Do not kill him yet. That behaviour is intended for the Holy Father. I'm sure you know that" he spoke quietly to him, so that no others could hear him. The mana flowed through him, pulasting in his body. He wanted more; he wanted to kill more of the infidels that dared defy the graces of Almighty God.

*the moment Dveris's Hand touched his blade Chris drew Guilty Light and swung it up into position...It began to shimmer as if it was getting very hot*

"Put your Sword away.. If you know whats good for you..."

*the tip of Guilty Light Bursts into Flame*

"I have already had a shitty morning...I dont need some jackass brandishing his sword at me..."

*Chris shakes his flowing white hair out of his eyes clearing up his vision. If you looked into his eyes you would see that they began to glow red. Then his the tips of his hair began to turn red and it slowly continued up to the base of his head*

Joan nodded, sipped at her glass and placed it on the table. She rose, bowed to Guy, and left his room. As her way was being made back to her tent, a noise struck her ears. The sound of a sword being drawn. A malicious smile creeped allong her face, and within seconds she was standing behind Chris with her knife to his throat and her left arm sholding him close to her so he could not struggle. A sinister grin was seen from the shadows, and any looking at Chris would also notice the long peice of metal at his throat. The knife grazed across his skin lightly, the knife was sharp, but this small amount of contact left not cuts or scratches.

"I believe you now have a jackass brandishing his sword at you, and your life in the hands of one considered insane. Do you feel as if you will survive if you strike, pet? I suggest you sheath your sword or something bad will happen to you."

Joan spoke very playfully, she sounded as if she would kill him for blinking right now. She wanted his sword away, no matter how much she enjoyed bloodshed, a battle between the higher-ups of the organization would not be a good thing to cause, unless she was the factor causing the deaths.
