| I'm in my Contemprary issues class and I need to make a paper and a speech -
So go ahead and list some of your opinions about the Palastine and Israelie war, if of course you don't mind if I cite you! It's due next month, but it'll hit me in the face if I don't do something about it... I just thought that my friends at Xeogaming could help out with this. Thanks, Nelrith |

| well.... technically you can't cite any of us because we aren't actually published or have any sort of degree or expertise in the area you are looking for...
as for the war.... basically it goes like this... Israel got a chunk of land post WW2 that it has claim to about 2000 years ago.... the Palestinians didn't like that.... and want it back for their own purposes.... and many Palestinians won't even recognize that Israel is it's own country.... they are treated more lik e invaders that must be removed from the area..... I think it's a stupid bloody war that isn't going to end until one group destroys the other.... I just can't imagine 2 groups so religiously motivated to ever stop fighting the other |

| Both sides have a strong claim to the land, and particularly to the city of Jerusalem. Jewish people consider it holy, as do Muslims and even Christians. This, in some ways, is a continuation of the Crusades only this time the Christians are staying out of the fighting. I also feel that this will not end until one side is gone... they could easily agree to share the space, but they won't. I really think that this will eventually end up turning into some massive war, all it will take is for the wrong place to be bombed and it will begin.

| I tihkn that a lot of people don't see what will truly happen with this. Currently Palestine is an ally of Iran. Iran is more than likely building a nuclear weapon, as they admit. So, what's the obvious conclusion? Israel is the most likely place to be nuked. If this conflict doesn't get resolved quickly, if someone doesn't get wiped out or force them to stop, there will be a nuclear war. Iran will be taken out quickly, as well as Palestine. As for the israelites, they will be probably be nuked where most of their leaders are. If this isn't resolved quickly, all three countries are going to fail.
And no Iran wouldn't use it against America instead, that wouldn't hurt us politically. They will bomb Israel. |

| Yes, that may be true... but the nuking of Israel would bring Americans into it since we like to try and be the world police and get involved in everything. It's been that way since Teddy Roosevelt's presidency, especially since WWII.
Basically, this will eventually result in WWIII. I'm just hoping that it happens after 2012 just to prove the Aztec calander wrong about the end of the world. |
