that's right... CN is currently showing Saved by the Bell. it's rumored to only be a pilot of two weeks. if successful, they will continue to show more non-animated shows.

They already ruined it with their Friday night thing they have going on where kids host a block of shows. I faintly remember them showing a non-cartoon movie awhile ago too.

Leave 'Saved By the Bell' to USA or ABC Family. It doesn't belong on Cartoon Network. It's not even a premium choice audience.

HAHAHA Usoop looks great in that picture...

But like Mr. Name change said: Leave live films and shows to stations like ABC or FOX...Putting live action shows on a Cartoon Network is just not cool...They aired "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and parents complained like whiney babies...How do I know this?

Entertainment Weekly...I read them out of boredom...I HAVE A LIFE......

Ah, so that Adult Swim thing was an attack agains't CN basically?

[Crappy 1980's Live Action TV Show Network]

They changed their logo to something like that, in regards to people emailing them to take Saved By the Bell off the air or something.

And what's up with the constant movies now? Dumb and Dumber, Ace Venture, whatever ... yeah, those movies rocked, but on CN?

I dunno what they're thinking! It's called CARTOON Network for a reason.... I just don't know what they're doing with that channel anymore...

But I mean come on... Saved by the Bell? There was a good reason that they took it off the air originally - It sucked.

I just want some answers!

First post in this forum.

I saw that, and it peeved me. Why? Are they trying to cover an empty time slot?

This just makes me cry... :'(

What happened to the old Adult Swim and Cartoon Network I used to know and love?

What about Toonami? I never get to see it anymore... Used to be everyday after school, but they replaced it with that "Miguzi" crap! What gives, CN???

Soon it'll show just as many cartoons, as G4 shows videogame shows!

...

If we see Star Trek on CN, then the world is coming to an end.

Edit- Whoops I accidently heard it wrong, Saved by the Bell is being pulled off the air...and they dont plan on airing anything physical in the future....

The origional post was that it was all a hoax, I heard it on MTV news ( Was watching yo momma) while I was hanging out with trigger and Jimmy...We were like "THank God"!

So in a matter of speaking, Adult swim almost screwed up....

Ok I found this

[adult swim]

On April 9, 2006, [adult swim] annouced that Saved by the Bell would air starting April 17 at midnight as a two week special. The channel temporarily changed their [adult swim] logo in the corner to [crappy 1980s live action tv show network], by "request" from an irate viewer. It was thought that the airings of Saved By The Bell on Adult Swim is basically a late April Fools joke to the fans of [adult swim], as a sort-of opinion piece regarding Cartoon Network's use of live-action movies on their schedule.

On April 19, 2006, [adult swim] also posted a news bit on their website stating that Saved by the Bell is back in production with 30 new episodes due to "The popularity of the show thanks to the fans of Adult Swim".[1] This could be a jab at the fact that [adult swim] was responsible for the revival of Family Guy and the rumored renewal of production of Futurama. A week later, the improbable announcement was exposed as a joke. [2]

it's a late april fools joke, but it is also a test pilot to see if people would actually watch old shows, so they can do it on a regular basis to fill in timeslots

Cartoon Network not showing shows that aren't cartoons is lame. That's like if MTV showed shows that didn't have to do with music....Oh...wait....nevermind.

I remember when they were joking about buying up the rights to show reruns of Arrested Development because they succeed off of FOX's rejects (i.e. Family Guy, Futurama).

All CN needs to do is show Johnny Quest again, then they can put whatever else they want. That and Thundercats.
