Well, what can I say? I borrowed this game because I heard roumors that you can still play this game with a patch to make it play on XP...And it failed...

I bought this game 8 years ago for my Sega Saturn, and havent played another game for 4 years...straight...(then I went to military acadamy, but thats another story)

Well, this game defined RTS...Its about 2 global armies fighting to see who has the better opposing way of leading the world...

GDI- Global Defence initiave, are the "Good guys" per se...They discovered the resource Tiberium to which had major side effects (Discovered scientist Doctor Torium)

NOD- These guys are like the nazi's...They want the world in utter chaos and develop horrific weapons of mass destruction...

The Aces

GDI- ION Cannon

NOD- Laser Tower...and Nuclear weapons...

Well, this isnt a thread about the game..I admit, I cant get this game to work on my computer...if you can give me a site that can help me play it (or just download the game for free in general) I will be your friend forever.....

Did you try running the game in compatability mode with '95?

I've never played the game so I cannot comment on it.

Other than getting a copy of '95 installed on an unused but not totally crappy computer I have no other ideas. Consult google.

Ohhhhhhhhhh GDI! NOD! What nostalgic names!

This was before Red Alert, which was the one I played most of the time. But still, gah, I remember this! I remember having it for SOME system, I forgot what.

Still... I liked Red Alert better, with the Axis and Allies, and the skirmishes...

Probably just one of those games that doesn't like XP, like Shogo (awesome unknown FPS).

I just say it's probably one of those random games XP won't play, because I can play Total Annihilation on this computer (XP) and it's just as old.

Just get Command and conquer the first decade. It's all the C&C's and they all work on WinXP. I'm glad I bought my copy.

The covert ops is the expansion missions. It's not any extra campaigns.

The first decade has every single C&C on it. Including the expansions.
