Okay people I'm obsessed with ghost hunting. Infact that's almost all I do when I go to St. Augustine. I guess it's because I want something to keep me from boring myself to death. ANYWAY I want to know everyone's idea on ghosts and if they can prove that there are people who walk even when dead.

TO be quite frank, anyone can be skeptical about ghosts.

Here's an example:

orbs. Everyone knows what an orb is, but they can be mistaken for dust particles.

See here is a good example. They could be orbs or it could be dust. The setting of a graveyard makes most people think they are orbs.

Get my drift?

I have had many encounters with ghosts and the paranormal. Read my bio, that was when I practiced with some astral projection.

I had an encounter with the ghost of my dad. It was only a couple of months after he died. I was lying in bed when the hair started standing up on the back of neck. I felt that someone else was in the room. I lay as silently and still as I could, as the aura of my dad washed over me. I cried silently. He touched my leg with a comforting gesture. I felt the pressure of his hand on my leg. I was so scared but sorrowful at the same time.

I have had encounters with demons too. Myself and the other two witches that made up our "Three". It be cold and had been raining... everything was wet. We were at this place called the River, which is basically a place to shop. They had all sorts of outside tables and such. Me and one other of our Three were in Starbucks, when we both started sweating and getting claustrophobic. I waited for my drink and the person I was with went outside. By the time I got to the table he sat at, he didn't have a shirt on, and he had his hands flat out on the table. The table was dry and the other tables were wet. So much evil energy was around us... talk about terrifying. Then a friend of ours, who wasn't into what we are... kept seeing everything in red. Blood. I was the only one able to sit and comfort her.. and as I sat with her, the dem8on showed itself, grinning maliciously, knowing that he just messed with her mind. *shudders*

I dont need to go ghost hunting when I go to YOUR house True. Every time I sleep, you either throw something at me or say something abrubt..as if POSSESSED by a ghost...

And then I have a picture of my dad (back when I lived in my old house...before I was adopted). behind him stood this face looking thing screaming at the camera...and no one was smoking. My Mom never takes pictures of anyone if their smoking...it messes up the camera supposively...

*In which Sajin will post that picture the next time he goes to True's house*

And then theres Grandpaw living in my room...reason why I say this is because my fan will be turned off, and for some odd reason, papers will float around my room...Window cracked, but I have a big foom...How in the hell is paper floating? And to make this worse, its unfinished homework! ( happend twice, but still freaky!)

Lesse...Yes I do believe in the supernatural. What do I do about it? Absolutely nothing. I have a big thing with being respectful, and my outlook on these type of things revolves around that actually.

As far as witchcraft and stuff like that (like those pagan religions that I guess deal with "magic" of some sort),,,well I don't even try to touch on those things. I would like to learn more about them someday, but right now I don't think I'm ready to now (I've considered converting MANY times). You see, reality bores me so if I got into that stuff, I just feel like I would be for all of the wrong reasons. If I did that, I would be disrespectful.

Same thing with ghosts, spitits, and the like. I feel that everything that exists, exists for a reason. Some are strictly part of a specific realm, whereas others are meant to be part of more than one. I feel that if you intrude then you're being disrespectful. So I just do my thing. I've had odd experiences, sure, but they all can be explained. I figure if I'm meant to be part of what is called "supernatural" then I'll know it and I'll accept it and do my part. If not, then I'm not.

you know how ghosts su[posibly make that woooooo, whhhoooo, sound? well, i heared it once, scared the hell out of it, but someone said it was just the wind. i was like, wtf... the wind cant possibly make a sound that scary. so anyways, long story short, it was the wind. just because something freaky happened, doesnt mean that you have to automatically believe in the super-natural.

i say, it's fun to believe, or even hope that it's true. but dont ever make anything an obsession.

plus, i hope they arent real, cause if you think about it... all the dead people that you know (Family members) could be hanging out at your house, watching everything you're doing. you know, they'll all know your terrible secrets, like what you do in the bathroom

I was told never to go to bed angered... AND I DON'T... anymore. What happened was I was mad at Kristin, since I'm Christian, and she was going through the pagan religion, you know testing stuff out to see if it's really for her.

ANYWAY she invited me to play a game of D and D with D'Arcy and my brother David. Then she gave me another option that just made me mad. "Or are you going to play Christian and not play?" Of course it was bed time, so I went to bed.

My sister said that she heard papers floating around the room and the fan wasn't on, then she heard a little girl and she ran to our brother's room. D'Arcy and David were both sleeping in the same room, so Kris slept in there, terrified. They said that they saw hands coming out of the cieling, so they turned the light on and nothing was there. They soon got my mom involved and she woke me up.

It was freezing cold in my room and the heat was on high.

oh yeah... Sajin and Kris went to the river walk and had an "experience" there too =P Didn't get all the details. But my sis told me about it. Something about seeing some shadows and stuff.

Oh sure make me the bad guy here

But I remember that. I actually saw the presense that Krin and Christian saw. Even then I was a christian, but i take it I looked deep within my brainpower so I had the general knowledge to "See" and "Feel" the presence...It was amazing yet...Unexplainable...its just something you have to feel to understand.

I believe in ghosts, though you cant see it, people just dont know how...thats how I see it.

As an amatuer paranormalist, i have a suggestion of what it might be. I've seen countless photos via ghoststudy.com, and that might be just dust. I thoroughly believe in paranormal activity, but you have to be careful what you might take. Overview: it's dust, but it doesn't mean ghosts don't exists.

Ouji boards are dangerous. Don't use them unless you are absolutely sure you know what you're doing and that you dispel all spirits before you finish. They WILL linger if you don't

A boy my mom once knew played one inside of our church, despite the fact that our church strongly disapproves of them. Suddenly he began choking, though there was no food or anyone there. The boy he was playing it with went to our ward bishop, who gave him a blessing, and by now, as far as I know, the boy is okay.

Also, there have been more experiences, though none have happened to me. My grandmother saw several ghosts of relatives, and my dad once saw once, though I don't know the complete details. Also, when my older brother first began speaking, he talked about a man on the wall. I believe this was his guardian angel.

None of those people that my grandmother saw were killed in a terrible way.

On a final note, I don't believe that ghosts themselves are bad. Certainly Satan and his demons are, but as long as you yourself are moral, and do not try magic or summoning them, then you are safe. But if you do, evil will always respond first.

Also, it should be noted that people of my church have a way of sending away demons, we don't have to say it word-for-word, but we generally say this, "In the name of Jesus Christ, I demand for you to leave!"

Heh. I've seen the use of a ouija board. Not a good thing. It just made me scared. I could just feel something was not right. So I jumped up out of my seat and ran out of the room. Right when I closed the door the two who were showing me how it was done screamed and left the room. The whole time I was there I felt like I was being watched and I couldn't stand it. I DID NOT come back to that house...ever.

I forgot to mention something. You can tell alot about an etheral object by how it refracts light. The objects in the photo in question are most definitely dust particles. As for the Ouji Boards, don't put too much faith in them. I once used one with a friend, and I was trying to communicate with my deceased grandpa. We asked, " Grandpa, are you there?" ... The answer: " 4 ". No joke. Either this had a cryptic meaning, or we just got screwed out of thirteen dollars. Belial's warning might have some clout, because since then, I encountered many wierd (but harmless) occurances in this old brick house. True Flight's story makes me even more paranoid.

Ouji boards...and things like that...I'm extremely skeptic of. **shrugs** Then again, I also grew up with people scaring me. One of my older sisters and her friends use dto have sleepovers all the time and most of the time were at mine. They would pull out an Ouji board and screw around with it. They'd tell me stories just to scare me, and then act like they were posessed or something while they played. Used to scare the shit outta me. I've never seen one actually work. Nor do I believe that they really do. I do believe in the paranormal and stuffers, like I mentioned before...I just don't think lots of things people say about it is real.

I've used a Ouji board only once, and that was to talk to the ghost that haunts my house. It was me and my friend at the time. Neither of us were messing around with the board when we asked his name, and it spelled out "George". My grandfather's name was George, but my friend didn't know that so I know it wasn't her. I don't think it's my grandpa though because of a few things... but you never know. Usually I communicate with him through feelings I pick up or through candle flame.

Here are the accounts of ghost sightings in my house, that I know of:

1) When I was a little child, my dad walked into the room where I was sleeping and my great grandmother (dead for years) was standing over me watching me sleep.

2) My sister and her boyfriend were asleep in what is now my room while we (parents and I) were in Missouri. Clint had a gun under the pillow in case someone broke in. He woke up feeling a hand grabbing his shoulder and he sat up with the gun in hand to find nobody in the room besides my sister and himself.

3) When I was little, somewhere between 4 and 6, I had a habit of going into my parents room to sleep with them because I was scared. They are in the next room which is connected by a short hallway that also leads into the living room. It was 3AM or so one night and I woke up to go to them, as I exited my room something told me to look in the living room. The room was dimly illuminated by the streetlight outside and I saw a bunch of silhouettes, one looking at me. I ran back to my room and pulled the covers over my head. When I looked up, he was in my doorway (the thing about this is that the floorboards creek really bad by my door so you can't get near it without me hearing you... there had been no sound). He looked at me, and he was built like my dad and he spoke to me, asking me what was the matter. It was my dad's voice... but I heard my dad snoring in his room at the same time. I blinked, and he was gone. That was my first encounter with George and the only time he did the doppleganger thing.

4) When I was between 8 and 11 one night, again around 3AM, my brother called saying he'd been arrested. My parents were in the kitchen and I went to the bathroom (also next to my room on the other side). The window in there looks out on our patio where there is a big tree and I often hear sounds out there because of cats and such rambling through leaves. I heard a noise, I looked out the window and saw someone looking in a trash can in there. I had never turned on the light, they never looked up, I snuck out to the kitchen and told my parents. Dad went to check, no one was there. No more than a minute had passed. I don't know if it was a ghost or not to this day.

5) My mom awoke one night after falling asleep on the couch smelling a fire. Nothing in the house was burning, nor was any of the neighbors. It was summer so no one had a fireplace going.

6) I was in my room, off in my own little world, when my mom came in and asked me if I'd just been in the kitchen. I said no, she asked if I was sure, I said yes and asked why. She had distinctly heard the refrigerator door open and then close, but no one answered when she asked who was there and no one was in the house but us. It was around 11PM.

7) Walking from the living room to my room when I was 13 I saw George standing in my parents bedroom out of the corner of my eye. It was near noon but he was still a silhouette. I looked again and he was gone.

8) Two years ago my dad woke up between 1 and 4AM and saw someone standing at the foot of the bed. At first he thought it was my mom, but he heard her in the bathroom. At that point he woke up more, but there was no one there. It was George.

9) Last year, early in the morning, my dad went to the bathroom. Walking back he glanced in the living room and saw George sitting on the couch, just curiously watching him in silence. My dad grumbled "oh fuck off" and went back to bed.

10) When I was 13 or so my brother's girlfriend was living with him out in the back room. It was late at night and my brother was in the main house while she was asleep out there. She woke up in the dark room sensing that she was not alone. She called out my brother's name, no answer but she felt someone in the room (you know that sense). She turned on the light by the bed to find herself alone.

11) When I was 4, just moved into my room, I had two beds. My mom slept in here one night to help me adjust. She was awakened like Clint had been before, with the feeling of a hand on her shoulder, but no one was there and I was sound asleep.

12) Before my grandmother died she had visited us. One morning she said that she had heard someone walking in the hallway but there was no one there.

13) Various cold spots, mainly in my parent's room that I sense to be George. When there are a lot of people here he doesn't leave that room (no one goes in there then). My ex, who had decent psychic abilities, could sense him in there too.

14) I was having a sleepover and one person brought some very negative and harmful spirits to my house and through my wards. One friend actually started convulsing and went very cold. We drove them out, but I've had trouble since then. They seem to drain energy to the point that I get this funny pain in my chest and I go cold.

15) A month or two after the above incident my boyfriend at the time and I were here alone. We were talking in my room with the door open when suddenly I felt the pain in my chest and my hairs went on end. I felt a familiar hostile presence in the kitchen down the hall (other side of the bathroom). I looked at my boyfriend (the psychic one btw). He said felt it too, I didn't have to ask. We left the house immediately and didn't come back until my parents were home and it was gone. Before we left I sensed George in my parent's room, he was angry. I've sinced developed the theory that he's a guardian of some kind... it would explain why no amount of exorcisms that my mom does will get rid of him.

16) After my grandma died Christmas time drew near. I was in the hall outside the bathroom when suddenly I smelled her (that old person smell of medicine and decay that had lingered in every room she had been in during her visit the year before). Quietly I asked out loud "Grandma?". The smell got stronger. I called for my mom to come quick, but then it vanished. Every year since then until just a few years ago I would smell that oder around Christmas, but I was the only one.

Other sightings/experiences by me:

1) I work at the Queen Mary during October as a monster for a halloween attraction. If you don't know, the QM is a haunted ship. I worked in the old first class pool area, the most haunted area of the ship. Every night I was in there I felt someone watching me from the entrance to the changing rooms behind me. I'd be warm and suddenly there would be a breeze from nowhere or the temp would suddenly drop 5 degrees or more around me. One night an attendant took me into the changing room, because that was where the vortex is (the supposed epicenter of the hauntings). I felt a hostile presence that wanted us to leave immediately, and we did. Only time I've felt something hostile there.

2) This past December found me working at the Queen Mary yet again, this time as an attendant in the Titanic Artifact Exhibition (that's right actual artifacts from a ship where over 1,500 people died... hosted on an already haunted ship). Other people, venomouslobster included, saw shadowy figures or actual ghosts inside the exhibit. We heard stories about nails being pulled out of the walls during construction of the temporary exhibit... the QM ghosts didn't seem to want the exhibit there. I had seen nothing so far. One day just before Christmas while I was at the exit I went down the stairs into the exhibit to see if anyone was there. The room was empty. I looked across the room from me at a case containing a few letters, you could see the reflection of a sepia colored picture on the wall across from it in the glass (that wall was diagonal and ended at the hallway leading to the exit... large room). I was looking at the reflection when suddenly I saw a shadowy figure dart across it. There was no one in the room, there were no footsteps, and I would have seen the person if they had been there. I freaked out and went upstairs.

3) After we quit working there, me and venomouslobster went back to the Queen Mary to get our last paychecks. We ran into our old security guard friend who told us that the ghost had been going bonkers since we left. There is a little girl that has been sighted in the room where the exhibit is (right above the engine room, second-most haunted area on the ship). Another security guard got a picture of her. We saw the picture. She was peeking over the top of the cash register where the guard had been sitting, her face pale, black hair in pigtails, form very whispy and translucent... and her eyes were solid black. Keep in mind the picture was taken on a camera phone. The Queen Mary wants to buy the picture from him because it's so good. He got others, guests have come out of the engine room with pictures of orbs and such, and one was actually thrown to the ground in the vortex and drug along the floor.

wow Elara you've had a lot of encounters and I'm just TRYING to remember the few in Pensacola. Infact that's why we moved out of Buela, people would get lost in the woods and they weren't even that big. They'ed wind up on the other side of town somehow. My brother would always be driven back to my house by people. THere was even a dark mist around it.

I came back to that house and the hairs on my neck rose. The woods were still there and it seemed like someone was trying to get them to go away. I was just surprised though. The woods were like around since I was a kid and they were still there.

I have a question. Why is it that people say that they feel cold when it comes to ghosts and stuff?

I mean, there's been "odd" occurences, but everytime they've happened, I've always felt really warm. **shrugs** I've walked in and out of houses and got nice and warm feelings. Then one of my friends or whatever, whoever's house it was, would say something like "yeah, my place is haunted.", without my asking even. I'm not saying they're right or wrong.

Everything "odd" that happened to me personally, I'm skeptical about because I also have an overactive imagination, and they'd be at times when it would just make sense that it was just my imagination.

I do, however, believe my friend Cathy's house is haunted. I haven't seen anything personally, and like I've said, I always feel nice warm and comfy when I'm there. But I dunno. I just believe her. She tells me that a lot of bad things happen there though. **shrugs**

I'm guessing that the fact that I don't experience things myself is because I'm not meant to be part of any of that. I accept that it exists and respect it, so I guess that's why it's always a warm, comfy feeling?

I've heard of people feeling warmth as well. I'm not very sure why. The only one I personally know that's felt warmth instead of cold was venomouslobster last halloween when he sat down in the vortex. He's never really believed in any of this kinda thing, but what happened that night made him rethink things a bit. He sat down and suddenly he felt warm... like burning warmth coming up from the floor. There was something behind him, watching him, but there was nothing there to see. He got up quickly and apologized and left back to where he waited to go into his maze. I heard that part from him after my friend came up to me and asked me what was wrong with him, that he seemed really odd. This was right after I had lead my own group to the vortex and back without incident.

I ran to where he was and he was sitting there with this haunted look on his face. I told him I'd gone to the vortex and he looked at me with horror, telling me not to go there again. He told me what had happened and that it had followed him, took posession of him somehow. He felt it looking though his eyes. I had to leave him there, and later I learned that he had walked past door 13 in the engine room (2nd most haunted place on the QM) and the feeling vanished and he was himself again.
