Weapon Analysis:

Flail
The flail is a medieval weapon made of one (or more) spiked metal balls attached to a handle with a hinge or chain. There is some disagreement over the names for this weapon; the terms "morning star," and even "mace" are variously applied, though these can be used to describe other weapons, which are very different in usage from a weapon with a hinge or chain, commonly used in Europe from the 13th century to the 15th century. Its primary virtue comes from the fact that it is difficult to parry, and can curve over a shield which would block a straighter weapon. However, the flail was itself a clumsy tool and unwieldy for defense. Some advanced knowledge of weaponry momentum is required for a user to quickly recover from a failed strike since the flail often leaves the user at a massive disadvantage if he/she misses. However, one well placed strike of the flail is often sufficient in tearing the opponent apart due to the length and sharpness of the spikes of the morning star.
Full Length of weapon: 40 inches
Diameter of Morning Star: 8 inches
Length of spikes on Morning Star: 6 inches
Length of Chain: 17 inches

Long Spear
A truly superior weapon in long distance melee combat. Due to the extraordinarily long pole with a spearhead attached to its end, it is capable of reaching incredible distances. While sometimes difficult to handle, the spear makes for an excellent offense weapon and even defense weapon from a distance. Contrary to popular belief, the pole of the spear is actually very flexible, allowing for not only thrusting moves with the spear head but also several unpredictable counters and parries with the pole of the blade. It has been found that the true master of the spear relies more on the pole of the spear rather than the sharp edge. However, while the spear is very effective from a distance, when forced into short ranged melee combat, the spear literally becomes completely useless, especially if the spear is one of unusually long length (such as the ones found in long spears). Thus, it is often necessary for the user of a long spear to keep his/her opponent at a distance at all times or risking some severe bodily damage.
Length of weapon: 5' 9"
Length of blade:15 inches

Cairoi walked gingerly onto the field, his long brown hair flowing in the twilight wind. He stepped onto the stone square while stretching his muscles, yawning as he did so. He saw his spear resting on the ground nearby and reached for it. He smiled as he lifted it's wooden pole. He had fond memories of training with the spear. He spun it lazily with his right hand over his head horizantally, getting his feel for the weapon. He then stopped the spear vertically to his right and brought the butt down. He cracked his neck and stood firm, watching for his opponent. This was the twilight, the climax. His chance in this tournament would be solidified with a win here. He smiled as the wind blew once more. Let the final wind blow. As he stood there in his black trenchcoat, he seemed unreal, concrete but alive, a dark side to a darkening world.

P.S. look at custom rank. He looks like so.

"AAauuggh"

*A restless boy lay sprawled out on the ground staring up at the sky. His awkward yawn bellows far and wide throughout the twilight valley. The boy's eyes gaze at the several stars that are beginning to dot the horizon. His fixated look not wavering as the man approaches him.*

"It's a shame you had to come so soon. The stars are just beginning to come out."

*The boy turns his head to face the oncoming man. A genuine smile is projected from his mouth, as if the man were an old friend of his. He rears backwards letting his legs come up towards his face. With a sudden burst of energy he pushes himself up and onto his feet, using just backside to propel him up. He brushes the dirt off his behind and picks his flail up with ease from the beside him. The flail hangs loosely near the red and gold dragon that spirals up his black pantleg. His cheerful expression changes to one of utmost intensity. His last opponent had been a lady. This small variable had caused him to hold back slightly and that had cost him. However the challenger that now stands before him is a man. There will be no leniency here.*

"You may attack me now."

Cairoi smiled and lifted the spear, looking at the boy. His hair twirled about in the wind, hiding his eyes from the boy.

"Well, I'm not really willing to hurt children, but so be it."

Cairoi looked at the boy and began his standard stance. He held the pole with his left hand closer to the spearhead and the right near the bottom. He walked closer to the boy and circled slowly, watching his movements. To start the match, he attempted one quick stab at the boy's left shoulder, with him being at a 45 degree angle from the boy's vision if he look straight forward. The stab was executed swiftly and with precision, but not enough force so that Cairoi could not react to a counter.

*Sengoku's eyes follow Cairoi as he circles him. He slowly pivots on his heels so that Cairoi is in front as he walks around him.

The boy knew the advantages and disadvantages of the spear very well. He had been trained with the weapon since he was a child. There would be no surprises coming from this weapon. In a situation like this, he knew that the average spear wielder wouldn't thrust across, but straight forward. With this knowledge already embedded in his brain he knew exactly how to counter it.

The spear moves and so does Sengoku. He takes a step forward with his right leg while twisting his torso to the left as the spear passes to the side, missing him by centimeters. As he steps forward he swings the flail so that the end of the handle would strike the crown of Cairoi's head. He uses his shoulder as he strikes, making the blow considerably harmful. Even though this blow alone could knock his opponent out, that is not its true intention. If Cairoi is able to muster the speed to block the handle, then the morning star will swing around and hit him in the face, back of the head, or even his spine depending on how he blocks it. If he doesn't block the handle, then he may be fortunate enough to be knocked out before the morning star swings around and delivers a fatal blow to the back of his neck or spine.*

Cairoi activates his move quickly. As the boy dodges he ducks while pushing himself backward. He went into a U like movement that enabled him to skillfully dodge the attacks. He planted his right foot down hard and took a step forward with it, beginning his attack. While the boy was offguard from the momentum the flail took to spin properly, Cairoi brings the butt of the spear in an arc towards the back of his head. The force he put into the club should at the very least cause bleeding and soften the skull, if not minor concussion.

*Cairoi underestimated Sengoku's attack, for his attack was an aimed strike, not a careless swing. Because of this, Sengoku is able to recover quickly.....however instead of pulling back he allows Cairoi to believe that he is falling forward unbalanced. He does this not only to fool his opponent, but to protect himself from the morning star. For if he would have pulled his arm back, the morning star's momentum would continue from his previous strike and collide with him.

As he falls forward he takes a step with his left leg, falling to his right knee. The morning star falls to the ground a foot infront of him. Cairoi's step forward places the chain between his legs as he moves to attack.

Cairoi's choice of attack was a fatal mistake. It takes more time to turn a spear and use the butt end then it does to use the more severe blade end. Sengoku takes advantage of this, using his left hand to grasp the blunt end of the spear as it comes down above his head. Simultaneously he stands up, raising the flail in an upward movement. The chain flies up between Cairoi's legs, the morning star jerking upwards behind him to strike his spine. Depending where the morning star strikes him will depend if he ends up a paraplegic or a quadripalegic. Because of the extreme close range and Sengoku's grasp on the end of the spear, evasion would prove difficult, if not impossible. If Cairoi tries to jump, he will find procreating quite difficult.*

Cairoi acted quick. He stepped onto the chain next immeaditly next to the head of the morningstat and grimaced as it stopped and hit him in the back of the leg. However much it hurt, he noticed it was only aminor injury. Caroi, with the adrenaline pumping thre whim, pushed the spear forward and jerked it back, trying to throw the boy off the spear. AS he brought his spear back, he brought his knee up at Sengoku's stomach, aiming to hit the air out him. He was not amused.

*Sengoku's balance hardly wavers as the spear wrenches back and forth. While Cairoi's weapon pushes backward, his hand switches his grip on the handle of his flail so that the end protrudes from his clasped hand. As spear is pulled foward, he brings the handle across infront of himself so the attached chain blocks Cairoi's knee. Because of Cairoi's pressure on the end of the chain, the rest of the chain is pulled tightly, making it a sufficient means of blocking attacks. Before Cairoi goes to place his knee down, Sengoku strikes down hard at it with his handle. Such a blow could possibly shatter his kneecap, if not hinder his speed considerably at least. Sengoku then uses the handle to make a quick jab at Cairoi's solar plexus, a well known soft spot in the body.*

OOC: I'm dropping out, but not because of the "OMG UR CHEAP ND I REFUST TO FIGHTS U" reasons. I just stopped caring, don't want to keep fighting in the tournament. Good luck, man. ^.^

Though, all I questioned was your ability to compete with an adult's strength as a child. No offense or anything, but to me that made no sense.

Eh, not going to change anything. Au reviour.

OOC: He's a teenager. I just refer to him as a boy because he's immature. I probably should have clarified that more in this fight. My mistake.

The fight was fun, you're a good fighter.
