I hate winning by default, oh well. At least I'll be going against an active member next round.

Note to all fighters that are still competing in Round 1:

All Round 1 battles will be closed in exactly 1 week. At that point, I, and only I, will judge the winner of the battle. Explanation for why that person won is not necessary.

Thank you.

I still think that you should explain how you judge it. I wouldn't like to be going for a heavy aggresivness to take out my opponent, and then be canceled out under the claim that I'm too reckless.

It would be good for an explanation to be available.

I think it would be interesting to get like a report card, or a note PMed to the fighters.

Something to help them improve their sim battle abilities.

But if you say no, then no it is.

I actually think that is a cool idea Oni. Of course, it's all up to Sparda if he wants to take the time to do it.

Seeing as I failed, I would like a report card if the idea will be implemented. If not, then I will take my sorry self and be quiet, continuing my streak of tournament losses due to failure to post in time limit. Eh, what can you do.

A report cardish thing would be nice, it would also help in our better understanding of what we did wrong, if anything. That way, both fighters would be at an understanding of the best course of action as dictated by the judges, and would know why they ruled the way they did instead of leaving it in question.'

Oh, and good luck to you Shuyin, you did pretty well, I can't tell a sure-fire winner from my view. You kinda did some crazy shit, while everything of mine was possible for a human of average strength...I think. I thought your last attack was pretty vague, would you mind trying to break down what you did so I can figure out if I moved correctly?

Yeah. I decided I'd take a break away from the calm and collected Shuyin and go with the naive unpredictable Sengoku. Although I didn't really see anything that wasn't possible to a human. To weild such a weapon would require a substantial amount of strength and thus my character weiled it so. He didn't slice a bus in half or slash at your several times in one second. That katana is not used for a combination of attacks like seen in movies or video games. I held true to that and only attacked once per battle.

Sparda closed our battle before I got to explain what I did. I thought it explained itself, but I guess you didn't get it. But that's alright. I moved when you slashed at me. However because moving fast enough wouldn't be human, I was still hit by your attack (but not fatally). I sacrificed getting hit to leave you open and took the oppurtunity to strike before you withdrew. You still managed to block my attack, somehow, and sent my sword sliding. Such an act would make me fall forward and off balance. I took this oppurtunity to continue moving forward and roll over you. (You were hunched over so I didn't have to really leap to high to so.) When I rolled your neck would have been caught between my sword's blade and my back. (I moved by sword behind me so the blade would face my back/your neck.) At the angle you were rising, you would have thrusted your throat right into the blade. But you said your angle actually helped you avoid it, which I didn't really understand. I didn't want to make a fuss like our last battle so I just went with the flow. But since you're inquiring I felt obligated to give an explanation.

You fought well as you usally do, Xeios. I think Sparda will have a hard time judging this one. Our fight didn't really have a lot of posts so its hard to tell what way the battle would have ended. Hell, we each only attacked three times.

Actually, I think we both had flaws in explanation. I'm not sure if I explained well enough But when I went to shoulder you, I moved at a 45 degree angle to the left, I think, it was so that my shoulder would actually hit you, that's what helped the avoiding of the guillotineish thing.

Well, you did very well. I was suprised some of the stuff you pulled off.

Oh, what did you think of the makeshift battle stance I just kinda pulled out of my ass when I started the fight? I thought it was relatively effective.

A report card...you're joking right?

Unless a fighter personally asks for some kind of evaluation on their battle, I will not implement report cards of any kind. Not only is it time consuming...but the fact that most fighters in the past have ignored literally all the advice I've given them is enough to warrant a 'no report card' policy/rule/whatever. And after thinking it over, I decided that I still will not give any explanation whatsoever on the reason behind my decisions in each fight that is unless a request is made through IM [pay attention, note that I said IM, not PM]

Also, all fighers must note the method in which I shall judge the remaining undecided fights.

One mistake is all that I need to declare a person the victor/loser. The moment I find that one mistake, my decision will instantly be made. I won't even bother reading through the entire fight. I don't care if the other fighter made 1500 mistakes after that one mistake made by the first fighter. The first mistake I find is what will determine the fight.

Yeah, it's been a while since the fights expired, and it has been much much more than three or four days. I'd like this to continue, and for me to see whether I, or Oni won out match.

T'was overall an ok battle.

Both Shuyin and Xeios attempted some rather risky moves. While both fighters both received some damage, it seemed that Shuyin's damage was slightly more 'fatal than that of Xeios'. Though I slightly begin to question one of Shuyin's moves after receiving damage, regardless of how small, I cannot help but also wonder about of one Xeios' moves.
Nevertheless, there has to be winner.

Taking into account:
1) Damage received/given
2) Stance
3) Counters
4) Defense

I decided that Xeios shall move on. It is quite a shame since it was a very close match. It would have helped if there had been more posts but since all was done within the time limits, I had to work with what was there.

Xeios will move on. Shuyin is now illegible to enter the Wild Card tournament. Info for the Wild Card Tournament shall be issued soon.

Lineups for the Second Round will be made soon.

Congrats.

Filler Kitty post so Sparda can post second round lineups.

Besides, I am dying to know who won between Oni and Vulkar.

Sparda already posted there. I believe I made a mistake of misunderstanding one of Oni's moves. he said jab, and I took it to mean stab. I assume that's what happened, otherwise then I would have no idea, as I saw no more mistakes in the battle.

So yeah, Oni beat me, due to my mistake. Were I given more time though, my person probably would have killed him.

...Sweet.

Yes, I did see the battle as being excruciatingly close...not to mention short. But I am happy with the results, (obviously) Shuyin. You must treat me to another battle sometime. It would be fun.

Uhm, Vulkar. Your character acted in both an irrational way, and in a godmodding sort of way, which actually would have broken the core rules of the sim-battling experience, as well as the special tournament rules that were present.

Sorry, But I just figured your character acted like a complete cheap fighter, that's why I figured that you lost.
