Recently then I have discovered something very interesting, which contradicts every single telekenetic move made in simbattling. Unknown to most(including me until just very recently), then Telekenesis cannot be controlled. What happens is completely random, and the human mind is not capable of controlling where, how, or what moves. Many people have tried this, but the most that has ever actually succeeded is spoonbending.

I just thought that a few people would do good to learn that No one here has been using true telekenesis. I have done enough reading(not online, sorry but I can't give you a website), to discover that telekenesis is uncontrolable. You couldn't grab someone, and do with him what you want, nor could you throw an object at someone using it.

I'll try to find some websites to inform you of your mistakes later. And yes, telekenesis is a factual thing, and there is enough evidence to support it.

I hope this helps inform a few people of things, because it has with me.

Pyrokenesis is impossible. Human Flight is impossible.

Simbattling takes place in a ficticious atmosphere. People are given the freedom to do what they like, despite the contstraints of what are possible in the real world. This doesn't mean that someone can go and defy logic by merely saying "I did this because I said so." But it doesn't mean that the impossible can't become possible.

In other words, people are still going to control things using telekinesis.

A: Telekinesis is generally CLASSIFIED as controlled psychokinesis.

B: Psychokinesis is the "base" of all telekinetic ability. Oh..and just for your personal use...no form of psychokinesis can be linked with psychic ability. Those claiming otherwise are ignoring the fact that phychic abilities often appear/are previously present in PK cases. If you're a psychokinetic, you may also be precognative..but not BECAUSE you're psychokinetic.

C: Pyro/cryokinesis is technically possible. It is similar to telekinesis in that both abilities use the same "form" of (usually) movement, just on a slightly different level. However, practically speaking, it is nearly impossible to achieve (hyperexciting the structure of an object to the point of combustion VS moving a cup. Which would be more difficult?).

D: The average human being cannot activly control (or even manifest) psychokinetic abilitites. Characters used in simming are hardly average. Considering the fact that controlled telekinesis, rare as it is, is possible...your average sim character is more than equipped to control it.

Telekinises is a form of wrapping your thoughts around one object, and being able to move it throught pure kinetic thought. While it may seem impossible, it truely is.

The human brain only uses roughly 10% of it's whole. Think about what would happen if the human brain was capable of using more then 50%? I believe that if it were possbile, Pyrokenisis, and telekinises would only be the start of what we could have the ability to use.

Sim battling character obviously use more then 10% of their mind. And by suck, they realize how make their thoughts dense enough to move an object. And obviously, most of use know how to move massive amounts of substances, like earth. We have strong minds, and use a great deal of it.

Even then, I belive even our sim characters have yet to use 100% of their mind.

Honestly, I think Shuyin's paragraph summed up my thoughts on the matter nicely.

This isn't real, so we aren't constrained by the impossibilities of the real world.

Last I checked, summoning creatures from another world was impossible in the real world. Controlling lightning was impossible in the real world, if memory serves. And turning into another creature was impossible in the real world last I heard. There's a whole array of impossible shit that we've been doing. You gonna complain about that, too?

Well actually, all of what you mentioned is from magic, which is automatically impervious to complaint. Also, I wasn't complaining, I was giving information, so that I would gain an explanation.

Very well. You want an explanation?

This isn't real, so we aren't constrained by the impossibilities of the real world.

Previous post, sentence 2, line 2. There's your explanation.

Vulkar. There is a big problem with your theory. You are treating everyone as if their character has a normal human mind, not some sort of super-brain like everyone has nowadays. Also, most characters use the word telekinisis, to show that it is moving something, if one were to be actually correct in describing it, they would use Psychic instead of telekinetic. But if everything in telekinisis is uncontrollable, then how would the eople who do bend spoons with their minds, actually succeed in doing it. The thing is, the human brain lacks the capacity to carry out the thought process for long enough with enough concentration to successfully bend and shape objects to their will. So, an inhuman brain would most likely be able to do such a thing, and even a human brain with enough time and internal power and acceptance of this power, could eventually control such a thing. It's just rare.

Do you want an actual reason for that question? Our brains would most likely fry themselves generating that much electricity to reach such a percentage. (There's a hint for someone making a new character).

And what's wrong with spoon-bending, people? I guarantee I have the fastest spoon-bending mind in the west.

As a mod of the battle forums I'll say this, unless over ruled by someone higher than myself: any form of PK ablilities will be feasible at this board. SO LONG as no body goes overboard with them. It isn't much different than using magic, which infact may be even more of a concern than PK. Let's leave it at that. But you did bring up a good point, Vulkar.
