It pwns.
No joke, this is almost 100% identical to what my car looks like.

Seat warmers.
Air conditioning that works.
Nicest car in the family.
Brand new tires.
Sun roof.
Defrost that works.
Window warmers.
Sound is awesome.
Clutch is in the middle, not next to the steering wheel (it looks cooler ).
It's silver.
Its sex on wheels.

But, my insurance monthly sucks, but with such a nice car I'd say it's worth it. I'll have to take some pictures here soon.

The car I was driving was a 92', Chrysler Newyorker, with low coolent, no AC, defrost didn't work, missing a few rims, you get the picture ...

Man, the switch was so nice.

It was my grandma's car, and they just passed it down unto me kind of as my early 18th birthday gift. They did so much too: waxed the inside (making it very clean), gave it an oil change and other fluid services, and made sure the breaks were working fine. I have to pay for tags and everything like that, but it's still awesome.

Edit: They also gave it to me with a full tank.

Congrats yo, it's a fine breed. Shame you get your car when gas prices are trying to make their way as high as the heavans.

Still, good to see you got a car you like.

Ah, Acura. Hondas Luxury Divsion. Nice

I'm glad you didnt get stuck with the 2.5 inline 5 version, that engine is disgusting.

Im not real sure wether yours is a SOHC or DOHC i know the 5 banger is DOHC. Either way its a nice engine under there. Proably a 6 speed trans to. So lucky

Mega Congrats though, God damn your grandparents rock.

O, and the clutch is always in the tranny, never near you your thinking of the shifter, its a floor handle, not on the steering colummn. if the clutch was next to you, then your car is going no where, it shifts gears for you

Okay im done

Blah blah, yeah that's what I meant.

DOHC sounds familar though, so I'm guessing mine is that (over SOHC).

I was behind a 2.5 the other day in this vehicle, and was screaming stuff like "Owned!" at the car.... uh, yeah. Well I mean hey, I was excited and having fun driving in my new vehicle.

But whats really nice about that V-6 is though, there is a ass load of mods for it.

Airfilter
Bi-turbos
Better heads
Racing chips
lighter Cams
Ive even seen one that makes it an AWD car. Do that and have twin turbos, o god. your gone.

But I dont think you have like 15k to drop though . You could easily do an airfilter mod and slap a K&N filter on there.

If I ever get a job, i would land a sweet free car too. From my moms parents. My grandfather can still drive, but my grandma cant cause of some knee problem so here fully loaded LeSabre is just sitting there. all i have to do is pay for gas/insurance. But that V-8 sucks up gas so im passing XD

(DOHC and SOHC just tell how man over head cams you have. yours proably is DOHC knowing honda thats all they do)

Heh, that guy is owned I'm the same way with my moms conversion van XD. but you step on the gas it actually gets up and goes.

I have to ask ...

I've been wondering lately, what's better, a V6 or V8?

It's confusing. You'd think V8 because of 8 being a bigger number, but a hear talk about V6's a lot more.

May as well ask you.

I think it's the number of cylinders that it has. V8s are for cars that need/want more power. Hence why most trucks have V8s. They also tend to use more gas because they are more powerful, so that is the trade off. V6s get better gas milage, but they aren't as powerful, though most people don't seem to mind that.

I think my Tercel is a V6 or less, I don't know. I do know that our RV has a V10 though... oh the gas mileage on that thing blows!

Not neccesarily elara. V6 and V8 both have there Pros and cons.

V6 can be more powerful then a V8 with low PI turbochagers becoming cheaper. Compaines can now have a stock version with a turbo option. but then again that brings ita own problems, the engine will now get up and go faster, taking up more gas.

Then V8 do waste gas, but smallblock V8 get decent mpg, most are from like 13-18 MPG while other V8 that arent small blocks avergae 10 and below (like my van, its 7 ughh...)

The reason its called a V8 or V6 is the degree of tilt the clyinders have, if you look at a cutaway for a V block it looks like a V XD now compaines are expermenting with 60 degree and lower clylinder tilts, to reduce vibration and such, and Audi/aston Martin are calling there engines with cylinder tilts below that a W6, or W8, ot W12 cause if you look at a cutaway with the crank and clyinders in it it resembles a W, but it stupid there re naming it, even though its still the same concept as a V just modified. its nothing that spectacular. Im sure dodge will get a hold of a W engine soon, and market it twoards dumbasses, like they do with everything else

There staring to use more Inline motors/V6 in trucks. Hondas new Ridgeline half ton truck, is a V6 only, and it pumps out as much as a V8 would. Chevy is using a Inline 5 in their Canyon(GMC) Colorado(chevy) trucks. but its garbage. Wait a few more years, theyll work the bugs out. it will be the little engine that can.

yes V6 has six cylinders, and V8 has 8

Okay, im done, ive lost track of what i was supposed to ramble about

O, and Elara your tercel is proably a 4 banger, all Jap import pos sedans would have V6!!!!!!!! omg all over it if it came with one.

Yeah, I believe it is a 4 banger. It's a good little engine though. Nearly 200,000 miles on the damn thing and it's going strong.

You plan on working with cars for a career, right?

... and so, what is your opinion on Honda's? I have a friend (via Jiffy Lube) who just can't stand them, it's the way they're built underneath I guess that bothers him, that and he always tells me how many "dicks drive Honda's", but I'm the one nice guy with an Acura.

I can however say it seems kind of true, really it's like people will just pay extra for the Acura name, because from what I've seen (so to say), Accord's seem pretty much just as good.

I filled up my car recently with gas, now I'm seeing how much mileage I can get on it ... doing pretty good so far, I'm a little over 30 and it's probably at maybe 85-90% full.

Um, I actually do . Im looking into R&D engineering.

Ehhh, im real iffy on Honda Cars. there up and down. Now Honda motorcycles/dirtbikes/ATV's are something not to mess with, they are #1.

But honda motors for their cars have come a long way since first prouction of them. Most turned into oilburing, rustbuckets, now there turning into high revving nitro burning machines XD. lol.
