::Grim instantly appeared behind Azrael and forged his Wraith into a giant shield just in time to deflect all the armor that Azrael had collided into. Grim released hsi shield after all teh armor had fallen and looked at Azrale::

Heh, I guess even the best can almost be caught off gaurd

::Grim held his hand down to help Azrael up. Then eye balling Ajax and chuckling::

Go on boy, but when you need help, don't cry to me

Azrael grabbed Grim's hand as he returned his focus. He dusted himself off and cracked his neck as the scratch on his cheek began to instantly regenerate lost skin.

"How the fuck does a minotaur throw an ax three times its weight..."

He shrugged and slowly re-sheathed his longsword as he leaned against the statue of the knight. He gave a quick nod to Grim before returning his focus onto Ajax, his brown eyes watching every one of Ajax's movements very carefully.

"Strange....that wasn't what I was sensing..."

All she could do was blink. She had not expected Xeios to walk into something like this. She looked over at him questioningly. What the hell is going on through his mind? She pondered to herself. I knew him too well to let time get between us so much... Aggrivated with herself, she pushed those thoughts from her mind. She looked over at Azrael intently and gave him a nod. She too could feel something wasn't right.

Thenwith a sudden burst of movement, Alby made her way over to Ajax. Delicately she placed her hand on the hilt of her sword. "As strong as you may be...surely you wouldn't want to waste all of your energy now, would you?" She looked at him with a sly smile. "This is only the beginning. Your goal is far too important to be taking such risks now."

With that, she pulled out her sword with one graceful movement of her arm. "...so why not accept a little bit of help."

::The girl helping Ajax was indeed powerful, but Grim had his focus on other things, his eyes directed only on the hallway behind his left shoulder about 200 yards away::

This isn't the threat, he is only a distraction

::grim wispered to Sparda, his energy again starting to surround him. Grim refused to let the others know of what was going on, if they all dropped their focus on the giant minataur, then some of them might get hurt, and he had determined that Azrael and himself would be more then enough to tear the entire castle down should the need arise::

My friend, do you feel that?

"That very feeling was the reason I was caught off guard, Grim."

Azrael stood very still but once again, his right hand was placed onto the handle of his sword, ready to draw it for combat at anytime. He was certain that this feeling did not originate from the minotaur but from some creature that was far superior the the minotaur...as if....

Azrael figured it out and he knew exactly what was going on...Without so much as even turning his head to Grim, he whispered softly to him.

"There....behind us....it's behind us...."

As if on cue, whatever was behind the statue suddenly unleashed a massive blast of a strange unidentifiable energy that caused the knight that stood before the two hunters to explode into tiny little pebbles. At that very moment, Azrael had evasively rolled to the left, avoiding the blast altogether. His longsword in his right hand, he stared at the 'thing' that caused the blast and the minotaur to come to happen.

Dressed in strange puffy black robes and a large black bishopry hat, armed with two long oak staves, it stood there chanting under its breath. His entire body was covered in his unusual attire as was his face, but Azrael immediately knew it was some kind of shaman...a summoner of creatures. This was the reason the minotaur was here.

Before another second could pass, two more minotaurs materialized in front of the great 7 foot tall shaman, each armed with four axes like the previous minotaur. They roared as they began to charge forward at Grim and Azrael, ready to impale their deadly sharp horns into the hunters.

"Thanks. I was trained in battling mythic creatures. I think I'll take the first one."

Ajax stared deep into the minotaur's eyes, smiling.

"Staring into it's eyes makes it angry."

The minotaur charged forward at Ajax, growling. Ajax merely leaped aside, keeping his hold on the minotaur with his eyes. The beast swung it's axe in a horizantal sweep at Ajax's feet, trying to stop his dodging. Ajax leapt into the air and released his wings, remaining airborne. The minotaur looked up angrily and growled. It realized it couldn't slash him, so it threw it's axe at the flying Ajax. Ajax saw it coming and brought his wings in, causing him to fall out of the way. He landed on the ground, shakily but not off balance.

"His weapon's gone. Now it's easy."

The minute Ajax landed, the minotaur began charging. Ajax leaped behind a pillar and ducked down, allowing the minotaur to gore itself through the marble. Debris of stone landed in front of Ajax, and he smiled. He ducked behind another pillar and the minotaur did it again. What the minotaur didn't realize is, it's forehead had opened and blood was dripping down. It charged one more time, thinking that it would win because the pillars were no where to be instantly hid against. Ajax smiled and stepped forward, taking the challenge. The minotaur seemed to collide with Ajax, and the debris of the wall cloaked the battle. When the debris cleared, the minotaur was dead, tackling Ajax into the wall. Ajax had impaled his talons into the minotaur's forehead as it hit him, ripping up vital veins and arteries. Ajax shrugged the minotaur off him, and wiped the blood off his claws on the minotaur's pelt. He then stood up, and groaned as he realized he had been impaled in the left arm. He cracked his neck and watched how the others were.

::Grim smirked as he jumpped into the air, backflipping over one of teh Minataurs, landing softly on its back, both of his wraiths drawn out in teh form of two twin swords, Grin slashed one horn off before being batted off by the butt of the second minatars axe sending him flying into the wall nearly half the main hall away. In mid air Grim caught himself and stabbed one of his blades into the wall, looking back at the beasts, one of the Minotaurs charged for Grim, as the other headed for Azrael, both protecting their master::

About time things got interesting

::Grim mumbled as he planted his feet on the ground with just enough time to cross his blades and block the minotaurs axe's as they came down at his head::

YOu will have to do better then that

::Grim threw the Mino off of him and drop kicked it a few feet back, teh Mino caught himself by stomping his foot into teh ground, the floor giveing way underneath them, both the Mino and Grim fell into the endless void of darkness before slamming onto teh floor of what seemed to be a basement. The cold ground broke both of their falls, but Grim wa steh first to rebound off of the floor, drawing out one blade in teh form of a giant axe, he stood very still awaiting for the Mino to make a foolish sound, and end its life::

Mino: Grrrrr, Snarl

Grim: STUPID BEAST.....DIE

::Grim spun around quickly avoiding the axe which was thrown at him barely, it tore into his left shoulder just enough to make blood splatter out, Grim in a spinning action sent the Giant axe into the Mino's gut, ripping it in half and causeing it to burn away in a crimson blaze red cloud. Grim recalled his axe and fell to one knee, grasping his left shoulder as it bled out::

"Peh... Summoners..." Tyrael had no love for monster summoners... Too many bad memories...
He pushed himself off the colum and did a mad dash forward, toward the two minotaurs... But they wern't his target. His target was the axe the first minotaur dropped.
Infront of the whole deal was the axe, originally stuck in the statue, but blown away from the rubble just enough for the handel to be sticking up.

Tyrael's wings, the long streams of energy, formed from behind his back, and twisted themselves around his arms, as he dived forward, the wings wrapped themsevles around the massive cresent shaped twin axe.
Using the power of his wings, and his arms, with Trickers and Swordmaster, he pulled the huge axe into the air, and using the sudden jolt of it being free, he launched himself into the air with an intense height.

He held the massive axe in the air, and spun with it, airborn, building up momentum, and speed. It was a glorious disply of a twirling lightshow, with a bright figure in the middle of the display, he leaped the length of the hallway.

As fast ast it started, Tyrael came down, spining ever more quickly, and brougt the massive axe down upon the minotar, at the entrence, crashing down upon it's head.

To get an idea of who she was fighting with, she allowed Ajax to make the first move, having no doubts in his strength. No doubts in anyone present there and their strength. She took a fighting stance, ready to aid Ajaz at any moment. However, all too soon had he disarmed it. Once doing so, Alby realized that he would be able to handle the minotaur on his own, effortlessly almost.

Jumping out of Ajax's way, she turned her attention toward the rest of the comotion going on about the lobby. Seeing that the remaining minutaurs were being taken care of, her eyes narrowed in on another target. The summoner itself.

Slipping in and out of the battle going on, Alby made her way toward the summoner. Her purpose was to stop it from summoning any more creatures to attack them, therefore she needed to go about undetected. With her sword still unsheathed, she had no worries of the sound. Gracefully she weaved in and out of the statues until she got close enough. Once she was sure that nothing would cross their paths, she took out the dagger concealed within her boot. Swiftly, she tossed the dagger at it, not aiming for it's right shoulder. Almost as though it knew what was comming, the summoner sidestepped to the left, just as she had hoped. In stepping aside slightly, her dagger ripped through his robe and landed in the wall behind it. She knew a simple dagger wouldn't kill the summoner, but needed to keep him in place.

The dagger wasn't enough to hold it in place for long, so Alby needed to move quickly. Dashing toward it as fast as she could, she pulled her right arm back, the arm in which she held her sword. She pushed it foreward and gripped it then with her left hand as well. The tip of the blade just piercing through the summoner's stomach area. She contunued to push her weight into the sword until she felt the tip scratch against the wall.

(OOC: Okies...for me that was a bold move. **smiles sheepishly** and I'm an uber newb at SIM, even if it is just a small battle in a RP, so yeah...if I did something wrong, please lemme know and I'll gladly fix it. )

FOOL, TURN AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

::Grim jumpped from the hold in the ground, his wraith blade still forged into a giant axe as he yelled at Alby. With its last ounce of energy, the Summoner brought forth one last Minotaur, its sights set on Alby's back while she forced the Magician into the wall, its giant axe rose above his head atempting to end her life::

GET DOWN GIRL

::Grim in a single chance of stopping the Mino's assault, Grim threw his giant axe with awsome accuracy, hitting teh Mino's axe from its hands, preventing it from cutting Alby's back::

MOVE GIRL, The Beef Patty's MINE

::Grim landed on teh ground, and one second later he was in the Mino's gut, sending his right shoulder into its belly, smashing it into teh wall. Reforgeing his wraith blade into a Halberd, Grim threw Alby out of the way as teh Mino sent its fist threw the wall and into his Gut. Grim, grasping onto the beats wrist, sent his halberd into the Mino's gut, planting his feet on the ground, Grim used the momentum that the Mino had made in combonation with his own Weapon, Grim lifted on his halberd and threw the Mino on the ground Behins him, then flipping over, he slammed teh blade of teh Halberd into teh Mino's neck, severing all signs of life. As teh Mino disapeared into the same cloud of red dust, Grim's weapon fadded as his left arm spatted blood on the ground::

Damn, I pushed it to far

::Grim sat on the ground, and held his arm tightly, trying to stop teh blood::

Tyrael still felt the surge of power flowing threw him after completly obliterating the Minotar. He needed to toss the excess energy, and knew a perfect way how.

He used his Wing wrapped Arms and hauled the minotuar's axe around. He spun around, using the momentum it and, and launched the massive axe at the blue doors with the skeleton designs, using the heavy wepaon to destroy the blue doors.

"I'll be heading in there." He said calmly to himself, regaining his posture, as his wings dispereed. He placed his left hand on his sword hilt, as he proceeded to walk in the direction of the destroyed door.

The room seemed to spin for a moment. One second she could hear the summoner gasp for what breath it could muster, then shouts...the next thing she knew, someone had shoved her aside. She gasped as Grim took out the minotaur. She didn't even see it comming.

Once it was all over, she realized that she had been holding her breath. Letting it all out in one long sigh, she rose to her feet, a bit shaken. Though Grim had managed to protect her from the blow to her back from the minotaur, the blow to her pride was inevitable. Still, she was very much appreciative of his actions. She tore her dagger out of the wall that once pinned the summoner. Walking briskly over to Xeios, she rolled down the sleeve to his crimson shirt. Still in a bit of a huff toward him, she didn't utter a word. Ably then brushed her dagger off on her skirt before poking a hole in his shirt with it. She then tucked the dagger back into her boot and tore a piece off of Xeios' shirt. She looked up at him, finally speaking.

"You have more to spare than I do." She says coyly, making reference to her attire.

Again moving briskly, Alby tugged her sword out of the wall and then walked over to Grim. She sat down next to him, making a soft thud as she landed on the floor. With a soft smile, she gently pushed Grim's hand away from his shoulder. "Thank you." She says in almost a whisper as she wrapped the piece of cloth tightly around Grim's shoulder. She didn't even bother to give warning of any pain he may feel from how tightly she wrapped it up, figuring after all of what had happened, he'd be able to take it. Blood seeped from his wound and onto her hands and skirt as she addressed the wound, but it didn't bother Alby one bit.

She gave it one more tug and fastened the cloth together so that it would stay. "The name's Alby." she says, loud enough for everyone to hear as she picked up Grim's hand again and put it back over his shoulder. "That cloth may not last long considering how much blood you're loosing, but I'm sure Xeios would be happy to spare some more of his sleeve." She says matter of factly, looking up at Xeios and locking her eyes with his as she spoke.

All the commotion had started rather suddenly but it ended just as suddenly: a proof of the extraordinary powers that the hunters possessed, regardless of how experienced they were. Azrael didn't even have a chance to strike a single blow before his comrades had already finished off the foul beasts and their puppet master.

But now, a decision would have to be made. Azrael looked at the three doors, including the blue skeleton door that Tyrael broke right through. Finding Eva and covering ground would be impossible if they explored as a group. They must split up in order to get through this as quickly as possible. He took a quick glance at the hunters and at Grim before he slowly walked up to the brown door, which was on the opposite end of the blue door.

He examined it for a second before using his right leg to bash it open in a single stomp against the brown wooden doors. He took a single step through the threshold before suddenly turning around and looking at Grim.

"Grim...take the red door. We'll cover more grounds this way...."

And with that, Azrael drew his right long sword and advanced forward, soon disappearing into the shadows.

Guidepost for the Hunters
Chapter 100 Clause 5

"And the hunters shall disperse,
each following their own leader.
Through the blue door and to the heavens,
Into the red door and down to hell...
Walk through the mortal door and they shall discover...
It's back to Earth they are...
And the hunters shall discover
Through each door they pass,
A new challenge awaits them,
Before the final task
Is at hand."

Tyrael takes the blue door which leads to the upper levels of the castle.
Grim takes the red door which leads to the lowest levels of the castle.
Azrael takes the brown door which leads to the castle courtyards.

8 Hunters in total. 3 doors to choose from. 3 leaders to guide the way. Which door shall you choose? Which path will you take?

(Let's try to make the parties equal. I don't want 4 people with Grim and no one with Tyrael. =P Get my drift? Let's even it out. However, due to the odd amount of hunters, one group will have no choice but to have 3 members in a party.)

Tyrael...
Guidepost for the Angel's Might
Chapter 1 Clause 3
"The Hunters shall journey up
where they will encounter
God's greatest failure
and Mundus' greatest alliance."

Grim...
Guidepost for the Demon's Wrath
Chapter 1 Clause 4
"The Hunters shall journey down
deep into depths of the abyss
where they shall meet an
angel, cursed forever by Mundus."

Azrael
Guidepost for the Mortal's Hatred
Chapter 1 Clause 1
"The Hunters shall venture outside
Where the mortals used to den.
And there they shall meet a being
Neither holy nor unpurifying."

From this point on, even if you choose not to party with me, you may decide what occurs in your part of the castle. Monsters, enviroment, everything. Remember to play it reasonably. No God Powers...as usual. And also, the only thing you may not truly control is the event of a boss battle. Those shall be revealed to you by me through the Guideposts.

In other words, you can create any room, any monster, any floor as long as it does not interefere with the other parts of the castle where the other parties are located. Just no boss battles.

Xeios smiled as Alby used his shirt for a bandage. He re-rolled his sleeve, and smiled. He looked to Azrael. Hmmm. The girl should be somewhere that Mundus can keep a protective eye on her. I know not where though...Earth...The girl, would not be in Heaven or Hell. As long as she is alive she should be in earth. And it is imperitive for me to get to her, to reunite with my friend. Xeios looked at Alby. He made an effort to show her to follow him. He was going on the Earth path. If Alby could use her logic, she would realise it would most likely be the best route. Too stereotypical would it be to lock the fair maiden in the tallest room of the tallest tower.

Alby sure had grown...She looked as if she had been through more now. More hardships. And Xeios was ashamed that he had not kept in contact with her. Maybe these hardships were his cause. Her sorrows, his fault. Xeios shook this thought off with a slight tug of his head. His feelings for her were mixed. But seeing her after so long. After their friendship was so pure, he thought of her in a different light.

Xeios walked to the door with Azrael, and turned back once more for Alby. With these three, they would be able to conquer anything...At least, he hoped they would. Death would not be an option for any of them.

Alby glanced around at each door, taking in what they meant and what could possibly lie behind them. Reclining back on the heel of her boots, she thought for a moment.

"This entire castle is Mundus' territory. The advantage is his no matter where we go Xeios." She wasn't even looking at him as she spoke, but she knew him well. Or at least she'd like to think that she did. Reading his logic shouldn't be difficult if her memories of Xeios served her right. "Eva could still be anywhere as far as we know. Trying to reason it out will mostlikely be a bit redundant. I agree that it is wise to split up like this."

Slowly she stood, taking in a deep breath of air and releasing it. SHe looked around at the rest of the hunters in the room. "Unless they all wish to sort out who would be best paired with whom as far as skills are concerned...I'll follow with you." She then looked directly at Xeios, burning her eyes into his.

"This is no time to catch up on anything..." She paused, the corners of her mouth twitching before she allowed herself a sly smile. "...However, you'll be needing all the protection that you can get boy."

Xeios thought this last comment was hilarious at best. He smiled gleefully.

"You haven't seen me in so long. I have what most people strive for. Power. And not the average run of the mill Power. Mine is...different than all of the others' It comes from a different place."

Xeios thought it was best to not piss her off now. especially since he did not participate in the combat most recently passed. Alas. He did not feel like killing at that moment, but that moment was gone. He would be prepared to fight from now on. Especially since the group is much smaller than it was.

"I don't know any of you but Azreal, so I'm just asking to go with him. The miss is right sir, Mundus doesn't do anything without months of thought."

Ajax wiggled his arm as the wound completly healed. He looked at the group, awaiting a response. He didn't feel like being around the Grim Reaper or the ArchAngel right this minute. He felt himself more neutral than the others.

Xeios looked at the assembled party. There were eight of them. Three in to of the groups, two in the last group. Oh dear.

"Ajax. This group would be too large and would leave someone without a member. Having four people here, where the help would not be so necessary, would leave two groups without three members. Try and find one to follow."

Xeios pointed to the other two doors. And studied the movements after this point, he wanted to make note of who was with who...

Sita, True, Xeios, Katana, Grim, Tyrael, Azrael, Ajax.

Just as an offical list. Though Sita(Shuyin) has not been active.

Alby let out a sigh. She looked over at Xeios to say something, but didn't know what to say. She then switched her gaze over to Ajax and nodded. Then turned angrily back to Xeios.

"You and Ajax go with Azrael." She says firmly. "He says he has a connection with the man and no one else here...he's made a request and I plan on honoring that." As she spoke, her voice was growing more and more angry, however, remained calm, never taking her eyes off of Xeios. "And I know the feeling of having a connection and then having it ripped away. Let's not have that happen to him, shall we?"

She turned and looked at the other two doors, wondering which to take. "Ajax goes with Azrael. Don't keep him waiting." She says, without even looking at either of them.
