why i'm actually posting this, i don't know... no one ever seems to read these anywho...

I’ve tried since was five,
To live a happy life,
Full of meaning, full of happiness,
And lacking any strife.
I’ve tried to live on happily,
Though I’m not sure how I can,
When all I see is negativity,
In the eyes of every man.
When I question why,
They always seem to laugh,
Reality? Fantasy?
I’m divided in half.
I struggle through each day,
Wishing I had wings,
I am jealous of the ones who fly,
Inside, my hatred stings.
I live in a world so different from most,
Where dreams can come true,
I wish I could bring that world in to this one,
And show everyone else, too.
I wish that I could show everyone my world,
But reality binds me every day,
It hides in darkened corners,
And tells me not to play.
I wish that I could find a way,
To take someone special into my dreams,
And to show them that what you see,
Is not always what it seems.
But that would be impossible,
Because reality binds us like a doll,
Entering into someone else’s dream?
It would penalize us all.
Reality is a cruel, harsh thing,
It forces us to hate,
When we really don’t know what we feel,
I’m sure you can relate.
But the next time you are faced,
With reality’s corrupt greed,
Just smile and turn away,
It’s better to just ignore the “facts” then help plant hatred’s dirty seed.

Indigo Lullaby

Angels fall like shooting stars,
Tears fill the night.
God? Divine?
Ignorance is indeed bliss.
The poetic nature of a harmonious world,
A place so alien to us.
Cry your dead, wasteful tears,
It won’t change anything.
I refuse to cry for broken hearts or shattered dreams,
I have my own Indigo Lullaby to sing.

if you disagree with anything in these poems, guess what... i don't care! i just write to get feelings out, not to offend people. if you can't understand that, then just leave.

Very nice Nataku, I really relate with the first one (does it have a title btw?). Technically there is always dreamwalking, but since it's really hard to do it's not really an option I suppose. Indigo Lullaby is very interesting too, I must say that I really love the title. Where did you come up with the idea to call it "indigo lullaby"?

well, first off, thanks for the great comments ^^ i didn't think anyone would even bother to read these...
the first one's title is "what is real?"
"indigo lullaby" was writen in my friend's car when we took a road trip. i was bored lol. the title "Indio Lullaby" was a combination of another title of a comic my friend likes to read called "arsinic lullaby" and my favorite color, indigo... thus "indigo lullaby" ^^

Ah, I see. Interesting way to come up with a title, but I must say that I really like it. You have a nice talent with poetry, I barely noticed that it rhymed because it flowed so well.

And you'd be surprised at what people read in here.

Wow. I was just browsing and noticed these. Elara was right, the flow was really good. It seems like some very open thoughts portrayed this way, and its nice to see you can use such methods and use them well. It was very clear and understandable. Inspiring! I feel ready to post something of my own. Good job, and if you ever find yourself in the mood again, write some more.

ok, thanks for the comments ^^ and i just wrote some more stuff to post ... *dances*

CLOVER

A four-leafed clover is supposed to bring happiness,
Whatever you wish for,
Eternal bliss.
I would throw away every clover in this warring world of hate,
I would burn every flowery field to be with you,
My soul’s mate.
Fiery leaves, the ashy smell,
The burning fields,
Remind me of hell.
My thoughts run wild inside my head,
Am I alive?
Or am I dead?
I’ve been waiting for you for so long,
I’ve been waiting in darkness,
All I remember is our song.

“I wish for happiness,
I seek happiness,
To find my happiness with you…”

HEARTBEAT

Dancing to your heartbeat,
A quiet, steady rhyme,
Dancing to your heartbeat,
It begins to slow with time.
Time passes us by,
It yields to no one,
Time speeds past us,
Yesterday is done.
Tomorrow is the future,
We hope it will be bright,
Tomorrow is our future,
Hiding just out of sight.
Yesterday I danced,
To a beat that I once knew,
Today the beat is quiet,
The beat is silent,
And you are too.
A happy, bright future,
The things we’d seen in dreams,
Our world once quilted with happiness,
Is now bleeding at the seams.

I really liked "Heartbeat" and "Indigo Lullaby" Both were beautiful. But out of those, I think that "Heartbeat" is my favorite, it has a great beat (No pun intended) it was gental in ryme but it had so much behind it, at least it looked and sounded that way to me. If you keep posting them, I'll keep reading them.
