| *Morwen and Zaphrina hear the sounds of heavy footsteps behind them as they work to get Drance out of his armor. As they look up they see a pair of the creatures behind the other. The sound of a bow being fired sings from several feet into the treeline, a moment later, an arrow embeds itself into each of the two creature's throats. The two creatures fall to the ground merely two feet from the three drow. A figure in studded leather armor emerges from the trees, a finely crafted longbow in his hands. There is a longsword on his hip and a buckler fastened to his arm. A large quiver is slung over his shoulder. The three creatures that remain glance from the bear, to the three drow, to the newcomer with the bow, then to their fallen comrads. The throw down their weapons then turn to run. Unfortunately for them, they ran straight into Skye. His blade flashed across, biting deep into the belly of one creature, and cleaving straight through into the one beside it. Shifting his grip on the sword, he rips it out and takes the leg off of the last creature that tried to flee.* | |||

| Drance's ears were filled with music. There were dancers in front of him. He wanted to join the dance. One of the dancers turned to him, and smiled. Drance smiled and tried to step forward, but the dancer shook her head.
Darnce's chest was filled with fire again as his chest finally filled with air. A thudding headache pounded in his skull, and a buzzing noise was in his ears. But he was breathing again. Blinking his eyes into focus the young drow looked up at the faces of Morrwen, and Zaphrina. Raising his head he looked down his chest he saw the heavily damaged chest plate cut away from him. "Thanks." He whispered to the ladies. Taking a deep breath he waited until the world stopped spinning for the most part, and sat up. "That was unpleasant..." The young drow muttered. | While Drance was sure that the conversation the other were having was very insightful, and meaningful. But the young drow's head was still light, and the world still tilted more than he liked. Casting about he saw his own weapons near by. Drance then fully realized that he was missing parts of his gear. The chest plate that was cut off of him was laying a few feet away bent and broken. The back plate that was attached to the front lay where Drance's back was a moment ago.
Thinking about his situation he knew that the chest plate was useless until fixed. And it didn't make since to still wear the leggings, and arm armor. After the world had righter it's self Drance started to remove the remaining steel plates. Underneath the armor he was wearing a white undershirt, and soft leather pants. He placed the amulet with Eilistraee's symbol in front of his shirt, visible to all who would look. Standing up he treated slightly, and picked up his weapons. Replacing the swords into their scabbards the young drow looked around and smiled at the newcomer. "Hi." He said with a smile. He hadn’t heard any of the conversation.” Thanks for your help. What's your name?" |
