Gah, I did something stupid tonight.. I got so pissed, sad and depressed. I grabbed my knife and sliced my arm 4 times.. Each time a little deeper than the last.. And since I was in a state of pissed/depressetc/etc. I wasn't thinking that I get shots every fucking week and I cut my arm low..

Is there any way besides long shirts to quickly hide these? =[

None that I can think of besides bandages, but then that kinda gives them away as well. Where exactly on your arm did you cut yourself?

Oh yes... BAD JIN! *smacks hand*

Well the way I use to hide it is by wrapping my wrist in an ace bandge, and saying I hurt my wrist. But That may not work depending on where you cut your self.

And like Elara said "Bad Jin." you shouldn't do things like that.

Hmm. Liquid concealer or cover-up. A big bulky watch. Ace bandage. Etc. Those are the ways that I know of. I lost my big bulky watch at my boyfriend's house. So I had no way to hide evidence. I'm surprised nobody has noticed today.....

Well, there is always the "I caught myself on a nail" excuse, if it is only one cut... it's semi-plausible.

Or wear a sweater. And a glove, or a costume. Or say you got a knife-fight with someone and they cut you. You manage to throw them off and gut them hard in the guts and you will be safe with it.

Or you could say that you trip on the sidewalk and there was metal sharp corner that cut.

Hell, there are all possibility way, check it out:

- You can hide the wound with your sweater.
- You can say you got a knife fight with someone.
- You trip and you were cut by a metal object.
- You can say you got a knife fight with someone and also trip and say you were cut by a metal object (if you have more cuts.)
- Covered it in bandage, say you blame it on a guy who throw object around.
- You were giving a blood donation but they have found a little blood clots inside and the only way was to cut it open and removes.

See? Not hard for me. I even pull out the "I hitted my eye with a mirror" trick and and does work on a teacher.

I have scars on my arms from my cat. Only three, but it may work for you. DOn't hide them like you're afraid someone will see them, because then people get nosy. Just say "Stupid cat got to me" (friend's cat, neighbour, whatever).

You're prolly not going to like what I have to say here...and it may be a bit contradictory to what I've done myself...though I did eventually look for help...but not right away.

I don't think you should hide them. Yes, cuts heal. Hell we've all had them. Some scar, but you get the point...but what made you do it in the first place...that's what the problem is. Only because, cuts do heal...but if the reasons don't, then what are the odds that its going to stop?

Question is...who do you go to for help? Well...sometimes parents are an option, friends, other family members or whatever...but I'm not exactly sure who in RL you'd feel comfortable going to...but obviously there's something you trust about this board. Why talk about something so personal if you didn't...ya know? So I implore you to please talk to someone...anyone that you feel comfortable with. You're more than welcome to come to me if you'd like.

So my best advice on how to conceal them...go to someone so that they never come up again.

Again, this is all probably stuff that you don't want to hear, and I'm really sorry...but I truly mean what I've said.

Well this is far from the first time.. It's just the first time I've been so wreckless about it..

As for talking to my parents.. they're one of the biggest stresses in my life at the momment.

All of this probably won't go away untill I move out, Which will hopefully be later this year. Or early next year. I've already applied at a few places to save up cash to move out.

But yeah.. I suffer from clynical depression, ocd and bipolar. And funnily enough the medication I take makes thoughts of hurting yourself and other's more intense. Zoloft.. heh.

I have issues, I know this. I'm just looking to get through it long enough to make my life better.

Are you clumsy? If you are, the excuses write themselves. "I was cutting tomatoes for a sandwich and the knife slipped" is one I'd use, if I put tomatoes on my sandwiches.

If you're not clumsy, the other options are good. 5-6 inches from your wrist..? I'd go with a long shirt there.

You could wear long gloves.......but that would be very odd in the springtime.

Problem with the knife fighting idea (if you were even considering it) is that word spreads around fast. People will probally ask you the details, what the person looked like, have you called the police and the like. Just seems to much to lie abou in my opinion.

Well they're 4 consecutive cuts. So that woukdn't work.. I've stuck with long sleeves and if a doctor gets nosy I'll just tell them. "Stupid cat.."

Cat works... or say it was a dog if they are bigger cuts. Dogs with untrimmed nails leave nasty scratch marks.

Or if you have a job say that you cut it at work but other than I would agree with Katana, don't hide them.

But Jin belive me do not walk down the path of cutting it will only lead to pain and possibly other people thinking that you are crazy.
