| Backstory: The "old thing" Tom is referring to in Domain is the old Special Ops suit that Pat was wearing that night. The new suit, as we learn in Paradox Island is fully integrated into the body of the wearer...hence the ability to hide the suit within the body.
Pat and Tom have since retired both of their duties from Special Ops of old. Lee also "retired" from his position, and is living a dual existence. Still technically a freelancer, but with the permanent upgraded suit, leading a life of operations for the new Special Ops and his public life as head of company for HyWire Automotive. That's where Brandon from Dark Diaries comes in later on, as he works for a midlevel/upper position for the Transportation Mobility Commission. His role will become clearer as the story progresses. Just so we're aware of the odd timeline, currently: Showers is running almost exactly in line with Darkness: Pathetique. Domain is slightly ahead of Darkness: Pathetique. Boundaries Unseen is in between Domain and Darkness: Pathetique. Dark Diaries is just behind Showers and Darkness, on the morning of that day...somewhat. Paradox Island is running in the mid-day range of Dark Diaries. I hope that kind of helps, but it works in my mind, and that's really all that matters right now. I need to catch everyone up to Domain. Any questions? |

| Unfortunately, I can't reveal whom the Venitian is just yet. I also can't confirm or deny that it is Garrett...you'll just have to read and see.
Tyr has two tails because he's not an Earth dog. Not a single remnant remotely resembling (other than the meta-humans) remains from Terran (Earth)...as far as Earth II knows. Explorations have discovered nothing from the destruction of Terran other than its vast debris field surrounding the displaced moon, Mars and Venus. A few years before Terran's oblivious destruction, its leading space organizations discovered sentient life on Venus in the form of gaseous type beings. Being the tyranical beings that Terrans were, they named these beings Venitians...not after they Italian association, but after the planet so named by the Terrans. Turns out, after the discovery, the higher beings decided that Terran wasn't progressing as it should...and Terran is only a memory now. Meta-beings becoming the only remote remnant of a human. Tyr is blended, the DNA of a Nisian j'oc (dog-like bear) and a Terran squirrel. The result, a small Terran dog-like creature with two tails. Much like the planet Earth II, most of the structure were artificially created from other elements. The trees, atmoshere, beings, animals, plants, including the weather. Being an artificial planet, Earth II has no natural weather. All weather on the planet is generated and controlled by WeatherNet--the only technology not developed by the metas. That technology is self-contained several thousand light-years away, with no interference or interaction from anyone or anything. Which brings me to the importance of the showers. The showers appeared after the inhabition of Paradox Island, a couple years after the rise of Edge City, as a completely natural phenomena of the planet. All weather patterns are controlled, predictable, and while the showers occur around the same time each year, they are completely a natural occurrance...uncontrolled by WeatherNet...doesn't even appear on WeatherNet. It's not acknowledged by anything that controls the weather on the planet, and cannot be manipulated by the computers and generators. Therefore, the astrologists and meteorologists on the planet devote so much time to the study of this event that only lasts a couple of hours once per year, trying to determine the cause of this natural event in an artificial world. Now, you might be saying that the suns would obviously bring about the creation of the showers, but weather is so highly controlled on the planet, that a normal Terran pattern such as the water cycle don't exist on Earth II. Recently, based on studies from other beings and planets whom also feel compelled to explore why an artificial planet would even have any natural weather occurrance, it has been discovered that a series of anomalies in the data streams occur before the showers, during the showers, and after the showers. An appearance of blue and red mists have recently inhabited random areas of the Island during the showers, along with purple mists that seem to make people just vanish entirely or relocate them to other parts of the planet. Does Special Ops have a hand in all this? Couldn't tell you. Does the Mainland care about the showers? Couldn't tell you either. Are Tom and Crystle wasting their time? Possibly, but who cares? | Well, from a lot of the hinting that you've been doing that ties into the showers, I'd say we aren't.
A dog-like bear and a squirrel? Well, that does seem to make since for him sadly... at least he isn't from a sponge. So where did Harrison come from, since he seems like a normal cat? |

| Unfortunately, that's storyline, and I can't answer that now. On another note, there's the impending issue of Server One.
Server One is all knowing, but not all seeing. Server One has access to all systems everywhere, yet doesn't. Server One is never obsolete, yet thrives on older standards. Intrigued? Unfortunately, Server One will be exposed in the storylines, not in this forum. Just needed to clarify that a bit before I continued, even though it does lack clarity. On the topic of the Venitian (which should be spelled Venutian, but Terran was stupid), he poses a big part in the storylines but has yet to actually reveal what that is. On the issue of Garrett (Cryus), he's not in yet. He comes later, and his role won't be revealed here either. Guess we'll just have to wait it out. Stop asking me what's on the disc, you'll find out when the time is right. |

The Venitian is weird, yet oddly cool. And I suppose that we shall soon see this Server One, and then we shall know all of it's weird oddness. |

ECU Crystle Young Agents Lee Almodovar and Patrick Betts I wanted to show a standard pose of Brandon standing around, when caught by someone else, as he pretends to be working or whatever he's doing. Then, the action shot of Crystle just apparently walking around the Edge City University while holding a University TechPad computer. Finishing, a young Pat and Lee. Pat, striking a "whenever you're ready" pose; while Lee fiddles in his jacket for what could only be some kind of gun or something to go with that bo he's holding. |

| Pat's character is based on his ego, mixed with another friend's martial arts skills, and a bit of my hacker skills. So, he's not the Pat you and I know, but a mixture of three people.
The other characters may be based on their real-life counterparts, but they aren't exact copies. Remember, this universe has meta-humans that are mixtures of Terran and alien DNA; so there are bound to be some differences. |
