Thank the gods it's over and she doesn't have to suffer anymore media bullshit... of course now there is the whole thing about her burial, why is the media continuing to focus on this?! I actually think there might be something to Cairoi's comment.

Randm note: Xeios, the media is actually rather conservative.

She's dead now, huh? Well, nothing more I can say other than; it's about time. She can be in peace now.

As for the "place" where you pass on to, I don't remember where I heard this, but apparently, some people believe that where you go when you die, is all up to the person dying. If they were full of hate, they go to a hateful place. If they imagined their "heaven" as a land full of babes and chocolate, that's where they'll end up.

Of course, that's just one idea. We don't even know if there really is an "afterlife". But wherever Terri is, she's probably better off than when she was a vegatable.

You could say that she should feel lucky; she died famous.

A human being who had the right to live taken away from her...And jin...The death penalty is there so when some asshole decides to go on a killing spree or start to rape women or other terribly inhumane things...I am so pissed offed today....

What the hell is wrong with people these days...That person...That calls himself her husband is a heartless asshole...I hope he dies very painfully with his fucking million dollars...

This just added on to my already shitty day...

You should always err on the side of life not of death...

Spartan, Terri Schiavo died years ago. The body and mind are not one.

I think it's hypocritical to say it's OKAY to kill people in one way but not another.

The Government need to learn to stay out of people's lives. Period.

Yeah, I'm going to take shit for posting this, but I figure that it is worth a laugh or two for the more morbid of us.

Human beings die every day, Spartan. Wolves die every day. Birds die every day. Deer die every day. Everything dies. Why put one above the others? There are more humans than anything else on this planet. Mother Earth kills things in mass like the Earthquake by Indonesia. It's her way of telling us that we are not in control of nature. Humans overpopulate this Earth, and threaten it. I feel no pity for the dead. They're all better off in the afterlife anyway. So yes, in a way, I -am- happy that Terri Shiavo died. That a human being died.

I second that. She is a peace now, and I am happy for her. I wish that it had been more private and less drawn out, but at least she does not have to be a sick puppet in a political play anymore.

As I was mentioning to my friend, Brandon (no, not Zoso), just as she died I found this blog.

Sure, it's in bad taste, but it's funny.

Really I'd prefer not take part in the seriousness of this discussion because my hyper-religious mother and I agreed not to talk about it and truthfully it's for the best in my case.

All I have to say is that the fuckin' politicians should stay the hell out of people's private lives for their personal gain.

I'm glad she has passed on. It would be terrible to live like that for so long, and you are just a constant burden to everyone when you are in that state. It's not good.

i never called her retarded, that's why it was in quotes, and i was trying to ask it about others who are retarded. but still, that's really something to consider...

She just should have just kept having her feeding tube and her idiot husband and the courts I hate them so much right now!

If you want to see legal murder. Look up some stock footage of the Invasion and occupation of Iraq.

This was doing what was best for everyone involved.

Those of us who aren't capable of putting ourselves in someone's shoes only seem to learn through personal experience, so this is why I say this to you. It also serves to explain my feeling about the matter, actually.

Jin, I do wish you'd stop mentioning the war in Iraq. I don't agree with the war either, but the war in Iraq has absolutely NO fucking relevance to the topic at hand.

Tamarin, Actually it does have a significant impact on this.

How people consider this murder, and the war in Iraq a liberation is beyond me.
