This game rocks. It brings me to mind with the beginning of the series. And it is still uber addictive. I'm like sitting there playing the game, and I glance uip to see someone playing something with awesome graphics. Am tempted for a second, then resume playing. Soo, AWESOME!!

the FF1 portion was too easy. I beat it, I can't beat the original FF1 though.

FF2, however, is a bit more challenging. And they fixed the bugs, as well as the slow-ass stat boost problems. Yay.

The last time I played it (about a week or two ago) I went to Chaos's tower, and leveled up about 20 times, no joke.

Yeah, the FFI portion is a little too easy, but I actually enjoyed FFII a lot more than I did with Origins for some reason. (No load times probably)

Seriously though, FFII is a great game actually, and I underestimated it. Defininently an underated game out there that I'd say is worth playing from any kind of RPG fan. It's different, but does that mean it's ... not fun? No.

But I still haven't beaten it, I think I started up a new game on Deus Ex and got way into that and just stopped playing.

Last I remember I was on Chapter 12 or so.

And just for the record, I enjoyed this version a lot more than the PSX version, the only lacking part was the music, and it wasn't "that" bad at all.

FFII is a great game, and I wouldn't say it's overated one bit Xeo (I'm guessing you meant underated). I beat it finally through some stategic weapon/shield placement... I probably was properly leveled up for the fight... but I managed to make my way through. And the FF1 portion of Dawn of Souls is way too easy. I managed to beat that in no time at all... and I had a hell of a time making it through the original.

I liked climbing that 40 floor tower in Soul of Chaos (FFI), only to get my great weapons. Still haven't got to start FFII, thought =

Yeah, whoops.

But yeah, the thing I really liked about FF:II was the flexibility. Want every character to have Cure? Go ahead. Want every character to have Fire? Go ahead.

I mean all in all, it really is a pretty basic magic system. Buy the scrolls, put them on who you want. Simple, yet totally awesome and unique in my opinion.

James/NotDarkSlaya: Really, you should try out FFII. In my opinion, it's easily the "Better" part of the 2 Pack game. Great music, a decent storyline (for it's time and all), fun gameplay, and well, it's unique and different.

I beat FFIs story, that is extremely easy, and have too lazy to do all the other stuff. I'm in Whisperwind Cove floor 34th or something, and haven't felt like progressing any further. Too game lazy.

Yeah honestly I never went through all of the special dungeons, they were just completely boring. The enemies that you'd fight were pathetically easy, I mean yeah that's a good thing, but not to a point where you're literally just sitting there hitting "Attack" unpatiently.

I don't know, I just don't have the patience for Dungeons beyond 20 floors.

I just beat FF1 yesterday. It was pretty easy, but FF2 doesn't interest me as much as the first, maybe because its buttloads harder. I found a trick that gets all the characters in your party to the maximum level really quick; it was cheap, but helped with Chaos in the end.
