The same laws and rights should apply, what ever happened to "all men are created equally" Which i thought of as "everyone is equal, so don't bitch about it" Alas, it doesn't seem most people tend to be keeping up the constituion and just persecute anything that they are not, gays, reilgions, whatever... 99% Grade K heterosexual... I really don't care that much about sexual preference.. I mean, who am I to judge anybody else's way of life? What really annoys me is the whole gay marriage issue, people should be able to marry whoever the hell they want... The government shouldn't tell you who to marry... It's pretty much unconstitutional to tell anybody what they should or shouldn't do, unless your actually harming someone... I mean, why should the government care about who marries who? |

To be honest, I live in a family of both ends. My grandparents refuse to accept that there are homosexuals and bisexuals. While my family here says it's okay as long as you're you, that's all that matters.  So I'm just me. . . I have no side to this type of stuff. |

| Heh, time for some radical disagreement. I've observed things about gays (both men and women) and have come up with some ideas that most people would call wtfyouidiotcrackheadthatsnotevenremotelyconcievable!! but i think are pretty true. Any bi-ness or complete homosexuality comes from some kind of trauma (addictions, molestation, battery,etc.), not because "i suddenly felt like it" and some people are more prone to it than others. It is a condition that is not a normal function of the brain, and will change the way a person thinks of everything. This shift of the mind is also true for conditions like depression, bipolar and multiple personalities. Another thing is that when a gay becomes straight again they can't imagine why they thought like that, also in the other conditions. With this observed, I believe that homosexuality is a mental illness. It can never be a legitimate pairing, because two of the same kind can't produce their own children, and this 'happiness' that comes from a twisted relationship doesn't last eternal like a true couple. You do kind of make a point Van. Some people s sexual preferance may change and trauma may have something to do with it. I don not think it is safe to say that ALL people do it that way. guys are visually stimulated.... a naked girl is sexy.... two naked girls is even sexier.... naked guys are not very attractive, nor is it very arousing for those of us that are straight.... I just don't find anal to be very attractive.... that's why two chicks together is more attractive than 2 guys.... at least for me |

| Like sis said, there was nothign traumatic that "caused" me to be bisexual. Hell I didn't even know what the term homosexual or bi meant until near the end of middle school. I still found both genders attractive way before then.
Though, again like sis said, you're partially right. A woman that is beaten by a boyfriend, or raped or frequently shown the bad side of men may just give up on men all together, that is a case of trauma induced switch. Unfortunately I also have to kinda half agree with Jin. It does seem that a lot of your opinions are rather stereotypical of those that are the closed minded bible thumping bigots that I've met before. (No offense meant Van I apologise if I have.) That's just how it appeares to me. |

I see nothing wrong with it, it's just the same as a normal relationship between a guy and girl, the only difference is they are the same sex. I have a friend who is gay, doesn't bother me or my friends. He is still a normal person just like the rest of us. |

| If two people are happy together, then who really fucking cares? Those who have problems with it tend be insecure of their own sexuality.
I'm hetero with quite a number for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered/cross-dressing friends. And to be honest, I consider it so normal to be deviating in one's sexuality that I often forget who is and who isn't gay around me because I just see people as people and not remind myself whenever I see someone with, "Hey, there's Lee. Lee's gay." I know you'd think that's stupid, but many do think like that. They remind themselves of these things to remember to be sensitive or not mention it. Really if you're comfortable with who you are and what you like and don't, it doesn't matter. Coupled with this I tend to forget that being gay is still considered taboo and that others frown on it, which with my forgetting makes me wonder what the big fuckin' deal is. |

Most people here probably know, I'm 200% Hetero, all for the girls. Do I have a problem with Homosexuality, bisexuality? No, you love who you love, and you are who you are. But what bugs me? I honestly don't want to blow up on this topic, but I'm going to be blunt. People that think their sexuality is so great, and they go around place to place announcing it to the world like they've Won the World Cup and the Super Bowl at the same time. People that might have a "different" kind of sexual preference, and go around acting like they're incredibly "Proud" of it, like they're more special than someone else. And, I hate people who might go agains't their families views or something, and just have a different sexual preference just to despise people. Grow up. Seriously, it's gotten ridiculous. Yes, I know it's a "big" deal with the media as of lately, but why ... because people are over-exagerating their preferences. The majority of our world doesn't care, so why do that? It's just pathetic. I'm not pointing any fingers here, but this is just my "General" view on this. And I'm not saying anyone here on the board does this. Again, I don't have a problem if you're heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, or whatever you want to be, but when you overexagerate the issue and aren't being "Yourself", then you can just forget it. That should summarize my view on the subject quite nicely, but in case it doesn't: We're all humans. We are all the same species, regardless of our sexual preferences, skin color, religion, age, handicap, etc. If you don't like it, you can go jump off a bridge - I'll even help you find one, hating bigots as much as I do. Of course, if you're just doing it to rebel against your parents (as Xeo pointed out), you can jump off the same bridge.  |

| Um....I guess my views on the subject would be the same as other people's here. I, myself, don't think about it. PDA's to a certain level piss me off. I too have a variety of friends and when I get pissed abut the random but excessive PDA's I spaz out because I don't care to watch that, not because it's two guys, two girls or whatever. I just don't think about it and I don't do it on purpose either. I just...There are so many things that religions and science can say, but I find it to be irrelevant because none of it has ever been 100% true, so I just can't comprehend it in my small brain to be normal or abnormal. It's just there, something that exists.
I've had gay people treat me like shit, and I've had gay people treat me like shit. When people treat me like shit I beat them up. I beat up people for treating me like shit, not because you're gay or straight or whatever (as little sense as all that made and it was prolly repetitious) The only time that I have something to say, or any true opinions of the subject is if someone says something against it. I view things as equal...if a gay person makes fun of me for being straight, ima knock that person out. If a straight person makes fun of one of my gay friends for being gay, I HAVE knocked them out. I guess I've simplified the the issue in my mind so much that it just doesn't exist as an "issue". Which could be stupidity and small-mindedness on my part, but I really could give a rat's ass. Why? Because I'm not hurting anyone or myself. I'm simply accepting it as a fact that people just love...not men love women, men love men...women love women...people just love. Simple. I could go on and on about how I feel about this, but I'd rather not...right now at least. **shrugs** |
