| I'm just curious to see what kind of careers everyone has in mind. Here's a place where you can list your dream job and your reasons.

| I want to be a writer. I need to start talking to publishers actually about the book that I've already written for my fantasy series. I would also like ot maybe teach a creative writing class someday.
I've even got the first day of class planned out for exactly what I'd do. Should be very interesting if I ever end up teaching. |

| I love to write, and if I some how make it big doing that I would love it, but I doubt it. Other than that I love to act too. Being on stage is a lot of fun. But I usually work stage crew, and so far in all of my professional auditions I get to the part of saying my name, and they call for the next guy. But that's alright... I knew things like that would happen.
So right now I working on becoming a cop. Probably LAPD. I would like to be SWAT. But after I become a cop I would like to still keep up my writing. Who knows... Maybe I'll get something published... Yeah right... |

The more I think about it, the more I want to learn about hacking and preventing it from happening. Hmm, I wonder why.  Don't think I'd want to make a career of it, though. I don't know what I want my job to be. I get stressed too easily to be... well, to be most things, really.

| Yeah, I see the other thread ... oh well.
I'm already in a Game Design / Animation class (2 hour class at that) and I believe my career has already begun. (I'm a Junior in High School, so I've gotten a pretty good headstart on these kinds of things) I've been playing videogames since the day I could hold a controller, and I haven't slowed down from that hobby ever since. I enjoy programming myself, but honestly I'm not good at it. I've taken Intro to Visual Basic, which I hated other than it's ability to make your programs have a nice GUI, and last Semester I took a C++ class, I enjoyed it quite a bit, but honestly I barely passed with a C. Web Design is easier though, that class I easily passed with like a 99% or something. But since I'm not always too good with programming, yet I still enjoy it, I see it as more of a hobby. Honetly, I want to learn PHP, just for this place, so I can actually do stuff and make it a better place and unique, but at my current skill I don't believe that will happen for quite some time ... maybe if I had a better home life, and more freedom to do what I want, I'd probably already know decent amount of PHP knowledge by now, but my parents believe I'm wasting my life doing these things. (Sitting on the computer a lot, and playing videogames ...) But, there will be a day when I show them my checks, and ultimately prove them completely wrong. | i'd love to be an actor, but that's just a dream. i can act, and i did take a drama class, but that's just something to think about is all.
i'd love to write, but writing, blah... i do that as a hobby, if you can even call it that. i'd write some story, but never finish. but writing is fun, i just dont do it as often as i'd like. right now, my path is law enforcement. i dunno if i wanna be a traditional police officer, or a meter-man. i'd love to give tickets to ppl =P |

Anybody here ever seen the movie Office Space? It might also be fun to be an IRS agent, going around getting people to pay their taxes... Pure bliss. Or a receptionist for the FBI, I wouldn't actually want to do anything that dangerous, just a receptionist. |
