The rules are simple. Simply answer the riddle correctly. If you do so, you will get a point. First person to reach 50 points wins. YEah, I held this like a year ago on several other boards. So I'm bringing it here.

By the way, it's no fun if you just search for the answers on the net. And it'd just mean you're too lame to play anyways. ^_~

Anyways, every question will equal one point unless stated otherwise. Ready? Let's go.

First Question:

A man walks up to you and says - "everything I say to you is a lie."
Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?

He is lieing, he cannot possibly be telling the truth because if he is telling you the truth, then he is lieing because he said "Everything I say to you is a lie" so if that is a truthful statement, it is a lie...

And if he is lieing, well, then he is lieing about lieing to you, but since he is a liar, then to say that that would be a lie would be a lie...

So, to reiterate, he is lieing...

Simple.

A simple "He is lying" would have been enough.

No you are incorrect. Besides, how could he have boys when I aleady said he had girls? But that doesn't matter, you're answer is still wrong.

Nice try, but that is also incorrect. Try again. C'mon guys, you're thinking way too much into the question.

Next question:

A farmer and his hired help were carrying grain to the barn. The farmer carried one sack of grain and the hired help carried two sacks. Who carried the heavier load and why?

the farmer has the heavier load because he has grain in his sack and the hired help only has two sacks.

The "hired help" carried more of the load since "they" can carry more. So, in other words, the "hired help" were his horses (most likely) carrying some of the load for him. I'm probably wrong on who carried the heavier load, but I'm pretty sure that his "hired help" were animal(s).

Edit: I was too slow, but wrong anyways. I guess I was reading too much into it.

Next question:

A girl was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the girl, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $70, but if I cannot, I will pay you $70."

The girl looked around and saw no scale so she agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes she'll just say she weighs more or less.

In the end the girl ended up paying the man $70. How did the man win the bet?

Ummm... Duh!!!

If you are in 3rd place and pass the person in 2nd, then you are now in 2nd and they are in 3rd...

So, 2nd, you would be in 2nd.

Next question...shall we?

George, Helen, and Steve are drinking coffee.
Bert, Karen, and Dave are drinking soda.
Using logic, is Elizabeth drinking coffee or soda?
