| For the past year and a half I've been pretty unhappy about being born a male, and feel too much is expected of my personality and appearance than if I was a girl... more lately, I've been thinking to transition in a few years. Unfortunately my parents won't let me do so, so I have to wait until I'm an adult, sadly... Anyone else here know any transgender people in any kind of environment? ^^ |

| I know at least one through a LARP group, though we aren't super close since he is on the other side of the country... I know it took him years to officially start transitioning FtM, but it is a very supportive group so it has been a big help. Hopefully you can surround yourself with your own group that can provide the same for you.
Are your parents supportive at all about you being transgender, if I may ask? |

| Congratulations on making this distinction in your life. I know a few trans people, several of whom have had their surgical transition, others have not but still identify as another gender.
Thank you for trusting us enough to come out to us. I'm sorry to hear about your parents and it's all too common for them to not understand. They want what's best for you and fear for your well-being. It's definitely not easy walking the path you are on, even as far as we think we've come as a society. We are here for you. |
