Finally tackling Twin Peaks and loving it, as expected haha. I freaking love Lynch.

You know, I should really get on that one. A friend of mine was always referencing it and all I could ever come back with was, "Why is he always recording messages for Diane?" Just one of those random one-off facts I knew about it.

Been watching "BoJack Horseman." It's funny.

I can say the first season was amazing, but 2 has kind of... dicked around. I'm not sure what it is but it's slipped up. I hear the beginning and the end are good for season 2, but I can see why some fans are mixed on this portion.

I'm currently watching Father Ted, a late 90s Irish-based sitcom that is just ridiculously funny, I never realised my dad got so many of his quotes from that show.

Binge-watching the second/final season of "Galavant" since I didn't get around to it as it was airing, unlike the first season.

Season two of Twin Peaks was definitely a downgrade ... but I'm still pretty excited for the new one!

OK, you convinced me, so I've been watching "Twin Peaks" as well. We're only at like episode 7 or so. The problem is, to watch the show together would have to be after Bran gets home from work, so I end up dozing off since it's so late.

It's funny watching it now after so many years of it getting referenced in things.

"Vice Principals" finished. For me, it petered off. It got pretty good and then... plateaued, I guess? It took a weird turn and I'm not sure I even want it to come back for a second season.

And come to think of it, I really can't commit the time or energy to following network and basic cable TV shows that go for like 26 episodes a season any more. For the most part, there's a definite quality difference between those and the ones that only go 8-13 episodes a season.

If you thought it dipped then yeah, season 2 would probably take you awhile to finish if you'd even want to complete it haha. Big slip up for sure. You'd maybe at least want to finish off the Palmer arc, but yeah. Think it ends around episode 5 or something in season 2.

The movie Fire Walk With Me was excellent though and a prequel. It's back to very weird Lynch if you like some of his movies and that kind of tone.

I'm still excited for the new season though. I imagine Lynch and his main staff will have more control over it than season 2 (sounds like execs wanted them to end the Palmer arc early and then forced them to throw in tons of crap, like the ~5 some awful soap opera romances, etc). The time gap will be interesting too... it sounds like most of the cast are returning. I really have no idea what to expect but I'm optimistic.

Well, I was referring to "Vice Principals" when talking about watching a show that faltered near the end. It just... WTF?

We're most of the way through the first episode of season 2. I'll admit, it's not going down as smoothly as the first season did, but it's still very watchable.

I'm going to need another show to watch once this binge is through. I know "Supernatural" has become quite the elephant fandom in the room, but I just can't bring myself to watch it.

Plus... I think Supernatural is on its 12th... or maybe 14th... something like that season. lol, I caught most of the first few seasons back in the day and it is really awesome, but yeah. I'd say give it a shot though. It kind of felt like a more serious and better take on that weird era of things in the middle of Buffy/Angel and Smallville or something.

At this rate I don't know if I'll bother with super hero shows. I mean yeah, my friends tell me how amazing they are, but they just keep making new ones pumping them out at the speed of the movies now. My interest in in the movies is waning big time and yeah, I really don't see myself ever getting into this stuff. But my friend told me they're doing Punisher which is enticing.

I gave up on superhero shows a lot quicker than I believed. Like I didn't even finish the first season of "Smallville" as it aired.

I still have yet to start "Gotham," "Flash," or "Supergirl," finish the first episode of "Daredevil," and watch ANYTHING Marvel other than the first half of "Agents of SHIELD" (which I HATED and was forced to watch just so I would review it for my friend's website.) So yeah, no "Agent Carter" or "Jessica Jones" for me, and frankly, I really don't care. I watched the first episode of "Arrow" as it aired and heartily disliked it.

Seriously, the only one that stuck for me was "Heroes," and even then I wasn't digging it much after slogging through the short second season.

I do, however, have interest in the "Luke Cage" show they're putting out on Netflix. If it ends up being another Joss Whedon snarkfest with the same characters, I WILL abandon it pretty quickly, though.

Coming from you Rogue, that says something haha. This is basically my current fear for Star Wars now. I really don't want to be overloaded with it. Quality over quantity please...

Is Whedon doing Luke Cage?

As far as I know, no. But "The Avengers" set the pace for everything else that followed, most especially "Agents of SHIELD," which was completely unwatchable for me the whole first season. Seems like the only people I know obsessed with "Agent Carter" and "Jessica Jones" are Whedon-nuts.

Since the first "Avengers" hit theaters, I just have not been up for putting down the money to see any of the other Marvel films in first-run. I couldn't even bring myself to see "Civil War," which I'd been excited about since the summer of 2006. ((Shit... 10 years ago? How time flies.))

I'm just not a fan of Whedon. I can barely enjoy "Firefly," honestly.

*pulls the breaks*

Whoa! haha, well I guess I can finally admit then, yeah I don't LOVE Firefly as much as most seem to as well. I think it's great, but not the alpha and omega of sci-fi drama or anything. I liked Buffy and Angel from what I saw back in the day but wasn't super attached to them. I can't say I really care for the Avengers movies in retrospect. Saw them once and that was probably enough... fun popcorn flicks but nothing more. I personally think Mad Max Fury Road was 10x more exhilarating and awesome than Age of Ultron last year. No comparison for me.

I do think Winter Soldier was good though, so I was excited for Civil War. And I was excited for Age of Apocalypse. I'll check both out sometime, but yeah. I think in general I'm just really bored of "going to the movies" which seems to be some of my friends only ideas on "hanging out". I don't see how that adds up at all. You don't even get a conversation in...

The genre has/had me trapped fora while though. I love a good action movie, but even when I download these... they leave me feeling robbed of my time quite often. I wish we could get other good traditional action or sci-fi and ORIGINAL material movies again.

About three episodes into "Luke Cage." It's decent. Feels like watching an extended blaxploitation movie.

Also watched the first episode of "Westworld." It's really expanded on the movie, and while there's a lot of bitching about it, I like it overall.

I'm also laughing my ass off whenever I see people saying it's a rip-off of "Jurassic Park."

How so? I don't know much about it but it looks cool. Sounds like a strange comparison.

I've decided... maybe I'll give the Netflix super hero stuff a whirl actually. I hear they're the most serious which could be cool. Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones. Usually hear good things about them.

Both stories are about a futuristic amusement park run amok.

Thing is, Michael Crichton created "Westworld" first. He did it as a movie. He wrote "Jurassic Park" later.
