Yeah I was just sick all week myself. I went into my doctors last week just to get some allergy testing done... but had another ear infection which has been happening almost every year now! WTF, I guess that was the beginning signs of something, because this week sucked.

Marathoned tons of slasher movies though. lol

Yeah, I went to a show on Thursday where Brandon and I stood in the front row for Dread Crew of Oddwood and Alestorm. I was shouting, headbanging, everything. So yesterday, took the day off work, and kept myself bedridden with this cold.

Will probably spend this morning back in bed.

I think Cteno mentioned this maybe on FB or somewhere but I have to agree that... I hate winter, there is nothing good about it. It's cold, it's gray, it's snowy, it's sick/allergy season, it's awful. Not my friend.

It is a small miracle that I have avoided getting sick so far this winter. Gods know that with the temperature fluctuating and spending so much time in the negatives everyone else around me is getting sick.

Yeah the temperature swings drive me nuts, those have been pretty crazy the last year or two.

I have been sick off and on all winter long. Ear infection turns into sinus which turns into throat, then flu, then ear again... all while having a persistent cough.

Fuck winter.

That was me last week, I seem to be getting yearly ear infections now and yeah... that evolved into more.

I've got a big food allergy test coming up this week so I'll be pretty curious. Apparently my mom can't really do dairy and a lot of stuff, so I wonder if this stuff has been messing with me for years as well...

I wish eating wasn't so complicated.

I'm about to start my sixth cold this year. At least, I imagine it will be, seeing as my lymph nodes suddenly got all swollen and achy midway through yesterday's hike.

It's my own damn fault, really. I was going, "Man, I feel great! I'm not getting all winded and I've got all this energy!" and Life suddenly went, "Oh yeah, bitch?!"

Had a cold last weekend that went into Tuesday. I was already feeling pretty decent by then, but the other staffer I was with was still all on edge about working with a sick person. When I tried to help her use the XBox, she said, "No don't touch it. I don't want your germs on it." Of course she then back-peddled and giggles, saying, "Oh you know I love you, Christine!"

Fucking bitch.

Sleeping terribly lately. Can't breath, whole head feels stuffed, and I'm being worked a lot. Not the most fun combination.

Has anyone tried Allertex? I'm going to try it out with my next paycheck:

I think I have a lot of back pain that stems from my allergies/asthma as well. Like I can't breath and my whole gut is kind of caving in, and the pressure hurts my back. No idea though, but it feels like there's a connection whenever my allergies really spike.

So... went on a cruise. Going up to the cruise I was taking Airborne daily and avoiding all the sick folk. Felt great other than normal allergies. On the ship, everyone seems healthy. Awesome, we are good to go.

Day 3 of cruise, we go swimming. Salt water gets up my nose (really really salty water fyi). Irritates sinuses and causes infection. Spend rest of cruise through today with sore throat, coughing, sneezing, pain in my sinuses, congestion, and the worst runny nose of my life.

Doctor confirms my theory about the sea water. She can see the inflammation from it kicking my allergies into overdrive. Nothing she can give me that I am not already taking.

Lesson learned: never swim in ocean without snorkel mask or nose clip ever again.

Well, I got really sick and kind of saw it building up since my last post. Unfortunately, spending Thanksgiving in my room cuddled up in bed.

My parents said they were going to try and bring me a plate though.

I've been in sick limbo for more than a month, where it feels like I'm getting sick, but I seem to be fine most of the time.

Doesn't help that I'm surrounded by people constantly getting sick and cough in your face and their group homes won't come get them so they're "our problem."

Have had a cold of some sort for about a week. Minor symptoms go back further. Actually problematic for about four days.

It's just about over now.

Worst I've had for a while, but still not bad, just bad coughing, occasional sneezing (now gone), and sore throat (mostly gone). But since I'm rather shall we say "out of practice" dealing with illness...

I missed welcoming my house guests from Canada because I felt so flu-ish on Tuesday. I had a headache all morning and what felt like a fever and was occasionally getting chills (when it was goddamn 85 degrees at 10 in the morning in the middle of February!! Fuck THAT shit.) At lunch it felt like a struggle to get myself to eat anything.

By night my body was super-achy and I was running a fever, so once I got home I collapsed into bed fairly certain I was just going to have to call out the next day. In the morning I rolled over and ended up not feeling too bad, so Brandon drove me to work since my carpool already left.

Ended up in the hospital with an IV in my arm (technically my hand since those were the biggest veins they could access at the time) due to severe dehydration from the illness I've been experiencing. I went in and they checked my blood pressure a bunch of times while sitting, standing, and laying down and determined I needed the IV drip right away. They released me not long after the bag was empty.

Not feeling that great right now. Been throwing up now. Wasn't doing that before.

Are you better Rogue?

I just got over a flu myself, worst I've had in years. Was literally sick for about 10 days. Now it turned into a sinus infection so I'm still not feeling that great. February always seems to get me.

I seem to be better, though I don't necessarily feel it. Pretty sure I had the flu, even if I didn't have all of the symptoms.

The hospital had prescribed nausea pills to take every four hours as needed, and I was definitely taking them over the next three days.

At least I don't seem to need them now.

It's bad I try to avoid the doctor thesedays. Can't trust American healthcare and antibiotics.
