Not sure what brought me here again, but I was thinking about various things in the past, and this board came to mind, wondering if it still existed. To my amazement, it's still here. A lot of things have happened to me over the past 18 months, moving to another place, getting better at Japanese, studying hard. But as I am staring at the computer screen researching different things, I found myself looking up different places that I had been to before and don't visit anymore. Since I don't have my website and board anymore (too busy to maintain it), I never thought about those places. But here I am, and I might stop by from time to time. I hope everyone is doing well here, glad to see Xeo, Rogue and Elara still posting strong here. Hope to see you guys around.

VG! Great to hear from you after all this time. Yeah we're still kicking, heh. Life is definitely crazy thesedays for the most of us I think.

Were you living in Japan yourself? I forgot. I'm finally getting more into live action beyond anime myself, but I'm finding myself getting more into KDrama actually heh. Not sure if you were ever into that? I'm glad the language turned out to be very pleasing to me personally as well, next to Japanese. Both are very nice and easy on the ears. Mandarin / Cantonese is something I only like taking in in small doses on the other hand... haha.

So yeah glad you're doing well and great to see you again.

Good to see you, VG!

I've never really watched K-dramas, but they seem to be getting more and more popular; they have video rooms for them at anime cons here.

And yeah, I'm pretty much always here.

Xeo: No, I haven't actually lived in Japan, just the few short trips so far. I'm planning on going back next year for a few weeks. Japanese is probably going to be it for me, as I don't really have any interest in studying another language. I can probably read about 1100 characters now and can carry a decent conversation, but I still have a long way to go.

Rogue: Yeah, it seems Korean Dramas have been growing in popularity lately. The owner of the site that I help mod is currently studying Korean and making frequent trips to Korea. I hope he goes back to teaching more Japanese soon as that's what the majority of the members there are studying.

Really, Koreans are definitely gaining ground in the U.S. what with the increasing number of Korean barbecue places here in SoCal and the people actually blasting PSY songs, along with other K-pop stars.

1100... dang! I can pickup some words and dialogue, but could never imagine doing much with the language on paper.

Internationally it almost seems like K-Pop stars are bigger than J-Pop haha. And yeah it's getting popular. I don't know what Japan thinks of anime popularity, but I read that SK actually approves of their stuff gaining popularity to spread culture, haha. The funny thing is that it seems HUGE for females actually, like the few database sites I've seen... they are drowning in female members and it's almost a rare case to find dudes. I guess it's funny because a lot of the male actors in shows are definitely the pretty boy types in most genres, but the same can be said for the women too. Dolled up on both sides. But yeah there's tons of females drooling over the guys in this stuff haha.

VG!! Oh it is always so nice when old friends pop in to say they are still kicking. Glad to hear all is well.

I think living in the boonies has isolated me from a lot of the trends, since I didn't even know about KDrama. Doesn't surprise me though.

Glad you stopped back! Also super glad you've been able to continue with your studying and traveling. I hope the move went smoothly and you're truly in love with where you're at now.
