Think this could use its own thread.

Anyone here have any experience or thoughts on the subject? Seems incredible to me, it can completely eliminate physical pain for me... and not in like, I get up and suddenly it all hurts again, it's real. The tension leaves, I'm at peace, it's crazy.

Loving the whole mind, body, and spirit philosophy lately. This is definitely a big thing I've needed ... probably for years now. Real time to just relax and take a breather.

Technology already rules us, so it'll only get harder from here on. Definitely going to stick with it.

I don't do it as often as I used to, or nearly as often as I should, but I also enjoy meditation. A lot of times I do it when I really need to fall asleep but my mind is just too busy... or if I am stressed out and really need to calm down.

Doesn't do as much for physical pain though... so I am curious as to what technique you are using.

Yeah. Shit. Every time I'm in physical pain, I have too many people around me pointing, going "don't be a bitch." so meditation is out of the question.

I kid. I kid.

But seriously...I think I used to "meditate". I don't know anything official about it or anything, but when I was younger, especially between the ages of 11-14, honestly? I used to just sit in my room at my window and just stare out it and before I knew it, hours sometimes had passed, and I felt so incredibly relaxed and worlds better....especially if I had music. Mostly it was video game music, to be honest, that helped me get into that sort of zone.

I haven't made any real effort to make the time to do that again, but I think I forgot how anyway. :p

Music can be pretty powerful too.

I'm just doing random guided meditations on youtube honestly, I could probably link some if you guys want. I mean maybe I have hyper tension, but yeah it's become more than obvious to me this last month or two, most of my chronic neck pain and tension probably stems from stress for me. I've always believed I had a hernia awhile back that was brought on by stress (seems common people will connect those two), and yeah.I just need to figure out how to control my emotions, be more positive, and in control. Trying to deal with the physical pain itself has just been a nonstop hypochondriac cycle over the last few years, "oh it must be this... Oh I really have this... I found it", blah blah. I think I can finally tell I just need to focus on the mind and balance everything, the healing will come with it.

This guy has some pretty good ones:

Here's two earlier ones I found and liked a good bit:
