I think we can put our differences behind us. For Science. You Monster

So I am a huge puzzle game fan. And Portal, which was released in 2006, was an amazing game to play and fit for just about everyone.

Well, the game came out today. And I had it come in the mail two days ago. So far I have yet to beat the game but rest assured; it's a damn good game.

If you never played Portal then I honestly feel sorry for you. It's a puzzle FPS game in which you use portals to overcome seriously challenging puzzles.

You thought the puzzles in the first game were difficult? TCH, play this game.

Right off the bat the game not only throws itself at you, but you are expected to kinda play the first game. Not to mention you are expected to know how to know physics and yet the game throws a curve ball or two. Not so spoil anything...but...

Oh yeah, you remember GlaDos? That robot talking to you in the first game?

She is back. And she has more tests to put on you.

The challenges are great and the puzzles really honestly make you think. But this time, GlaDos puts curve balls in your puzzles. Oh you think you can solve this puzzle so easily? *ZOINK* No more companion cube.

PS3 also comes with Steam. Play with your friends!

Yep, After all the shit talking gabe has said; in E3 2010 he stepped out and said the PS3 version would be the best console version. Including Steam Cloud, and getting updates the same time the PC version gets it. Also, if you purchase the PS3 version you automatically get the PC version for free. Buy is used and you will have to shell out the extra cash. But hey, at least the PC version comes with mods and stuff. So why not pick up the PS3 version if you have it?

Co-op Play

yeah, I did this tonight and it's seriously puzzling. You can play as two robots using portal guns to solve some of the most complexing tasks I have ever seen. Can't really comment this too much because I have not played this for too long.

Really enjoyable puzzle game. But you will wish you never picked this up

Seriously some of the puzzles in this game require some serious thinking. Which is fun! Right now I am enjoying this game with a passion. One of the best games to purchase to date!

Is there cake?

Well...only one way to find out!

Oh, you will. There is an actual story in this game now. And boy does it get interesting. Now, don't read the spoiler. Seriously, don't.

Spoiler:
You know that guy in the Demo? Wheatly? Well, there is a part in act 3/10 where you have to disable her turrents by turning them into morons, and getting rid of her deadly nurotoxin. Once that is done. You literally confront GlaDos. She tries out the turrents. Dumb as bricks, tries Nurotoxins, none. So Wheatly comes out and it turns out GlaDos has a virus. So Wheatly goes into the core.

Being the next GlaDos. What does he do with the origigional?

Oh, sticks her core into a Potato. Cause you know, potatoes generate energy.

Buy this game. Not only are the puzzles fun. But there is a lot of comic relief in this game.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I really loved the ending. And the trophy you get when you beaten the game. But the biggest thing I was laughing so hard when:

Spoiler:
Chapter 9 starts. You are flying the air and you land on a platform.

GlaDos: Ack! This is the part where he kills us.

Wheatley: Hello! This is the part where I kill you!

Chapter 9: The part where he kills you

Trophy unlocked: The part where he kills you

Also the music in that chapter is AWESOME!

Adding more:

I think this game is best played with a friend or two that DON'T know how the puzzles work. It's funny watching people play this game for the first time and not know the answer to all of the puzzles. Earlier today I actually got my own mother to pick this up and play and she really enjoyed it. (Never really a fan of videogames.) When I was over there I was solving one of the act: 7 tests and my mom was wondering what I was playing and she was instantly glued. So yeah, I can say that this game is fun for the whole family!

No blood, no language, no guns that kill people. Just plain fun. Also, it's a hilarious game!

E3- Also, according to steam. It took me 8 hours to complete. This, mind you, I had to consult youtube (Not recommended. Believe me, you will feel stupid. Take time in solving your tests) to solve two tests. Which start in Act 7. The Co-op does not count seen how I did not even start it yet.

Oh hey, Co-op! I have the PS3 version, which means I can play with PC/Mac people and other PS3 users! Anyone want to join?

Well, it looks like the PSN won't be coming back up anytime soon. So I have been literally playing this game with two controllers. And it's getting very old very quick. It needs to come back up ASAP

However, I can't stop replaying this game and it has a ton of easter eggs in this game that are not only hilarious but is very fun to find.

Spoiler:
When wheatley takes over the Aperture Science he claims he is a "Bloody Genius" and starts speaking in Spanish. "Esta usando estesoftware de traduccion de forma incorrecta. Por favor, consulte el manual." Which means "You are using this translating software wrongly. Please check the manual."

You can in fact get stuck in test chambers. In which when this happens Glados will scold you and just give you a free companion cube. Continuing to get stuck will only make her angrier.

At the beginning of Chapter 9 "The part where he kills you" when you get away from the flat panels trying to kill you wheatley asks you to come back. Do it. Listen to everything he says and when you finally walk away, GlaDos exclaims that "You really do have brain problems don't you". Jumping to your death unlocks a hidden achievement

One of the test chambers (Don't remember which one. 15 or 16?) but there is a little hidden room where Turrents are singing in unison.

Refuse to take Wheatley's first "Test". Meaning, don't do anything. Watch his addiction unfold. (Also you unlock an achievement)

Some of the puzzles can be solved while taking a companion cube with you. Unfortunately, Glados won't allow you to keep a companion cube. I believe there are three tests in which you can do this and each one has a unique comment from Glados

The corrupted "Fact" core lists the corrupted "Space" core that "Will never make it into space".

There is supposed to be a hidden location in the game that ties in with the Half-Life universe. Supposidly in Half life 2, there is supposed to be a ship that "Disappeared" in the game. It's supposed to be findable within Portal 2. Findable in Chapter 6.

There is a Ratman den that contains a very strange radio signal. According to forums, someone actually decoded what it was and it was a SSTV file which turns a sound file into an image file. I'll link it as An image spoiler. It's a strange image nonetheless.

While walking behind the scenes at Apature Science with Wheatley, walk up to the science experiments when wheatley talks about "Bring your daughter to work day". One of the projects has in really small letters the name "Chell". Which is, in fact, you.

That's all for the spoilers.

For a really neat non-spoiler easter egg: There is an interactive trailer you can unlock for a future Steven Speilburg movie called "Super 8". It's interactive as in a trailer completely made out of the source engine. Once completed, you get to watch the actual trailer. Which as of this post is not currently up on Youtube. Or even known of as of yet. Looks like it's gonna be a strange movie.

As far as unlocking it on the PS3 version I have no freaking clue how.

E- Also, I'll list some rumored easter eggs that a good friend and I are currently trying to find. So far these have not been found:

Spoiler:
There is, in fact, a reference to HL3 at the very beginning of the game. When wheatley is trying to drive you out of your location at the beginning of the game. There is supposed to be a hidden Black Mesa logo somewhere in the debris. *Not Found*

There is supposedly a way to clone companion cubes. In which doing so Glados will claim that you are cheating. The audio is found inside a hidden file on Portal 2. But in terms of actually cloning the objects are unknown. The folder also contains bloopers and out-takes. *Plausible*

That's all I got!

Hey guys! Remember this game?

Well now people are making their own tests (PC Only) and it's up to us to solve them!

I'll be making some in the future. But I need some of you to help me solve some of the ones the community made.

Let's get cracking!
