Kinda nifty little idea I came up with earlier today. It's similar to "Answer one ask one" but with a twist to it. This is pretty much open to everyone in the community and it's about -you- the person asking the questions and -you- will be answering questions. Sorta like what Benja and I did years back but in a general thread. Get the idea?

Note; that silly questions should be stuck with "Answer one ask one" thread above. You really need to target a specific user or if you want to get a responce you can "Tag" them in PM's and hope to God your question didn't suck!!!

Anyways, I have a few questions for the community. Gonna lay the smackdown on these questions! GET READY!

Xeo, with the success of Xeogaming has had over the years. How do you feel now that this forum is in 2012 and what would you like to see happen?

------

Astrophel / Thex, ever wanted to have the gaming community come together one night to just have a game night on XBL / Steam / PSN?

------

True, with a baby on the way; do you feel that will inhibit your daily routine with what you normally do? Ever still wanted to start up that little gamer shop idea you had a few years back?

-----

Rogue, will Zabuza ever return with his wacky and insane posting habits? I really miss that guy. (Tell him I said what's up!)

-----

That's all the questions I have so far. You too can join in on the fun! And for those of you that I tagged I hope to hear back for all of us to see! Don't forget to ask questions!

Oh wow... I got asked a question that I really didn't know the answer to. I see that yes my posting habits will slow down... A LOT or there will be those days where things are slow and i will post A LOT. Either way it's going to be an up and down thing. As far as exercise goes... I'm going to try and get someone to watch the kid so I can PLEASE RUN. I can't afford to fail a PT Test because I am about to get promoted to... SERGEANT. Woot woot.

As far as that gamer shop... I have it on hold til I am able to get the loans I need and the credentials as well. Along with that I'm also wanting to find a good spot in another town to open it. Atlanta sounds promising but it seems like it will be forever and a day to find the right tools for that dream.

I have the tools for another dream right now. It will help me get the funds together for the business I want to start too and help out with the family. Seems like Rogue isn't the only one going into the news side of things. =P

Rogue with your degree in Journalism do you plan on working for the big companies like CNN or Fox?

---

Bitmap do you ever see any other anime other than One Peice? =P What about pets... are you a cat or dog person or maybe an exotic pet person and why? Ever think someone is going to beat your post count other than Xeo and Rogue?

---

Astrophel do you plan on reopening darkmoon RO?

One Piece is still honestly my #1 go-to weekly show for anime. But I like to watch new shows from time to time. Like reciently I got into Eden of the East and bought the two movies. Really good show and highly recommended. Not deserving of it's own thread though. It does not have anything much to discuss.

One of my friends in Columbus has a decent anime collection and him and I have been watching some pretty trippy shit lately. Black Lion for starters. Is one of those anime that has the whole HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOLD ONTO YOUR FUCKING BALLS moments. And by moments, I mean the whole damn thing!

I, to this day, would absolutely love a Fox. And before I die. I would like to adopt one (a tame one mind you) someday just to say I own one. But being a normal human being I would say im a Dog person.

Posting; is a mystery. Guess we'll wait and see?

Katana, you still cosplay and go to conventions? Ever thought about participating in the events sometime?

I told him there was a post regarding him. No idea on if he'll ever really post here regularly any more, but when he told me when he tried to sign in last night he couldn't remember his password. Didn't seemed all that bummed out about it.

I'd say no, but then I'm not even sure what I'm going to do with the rest of my life in terms of employment. My degrees are geared more toward writing and not broadcast, but even then I'm so burnt out in journalism right now that being forced to be my grandmother's caretaker at the moment is sort of relaxing. Still, that's only temporary and I have got to get my ass back in the job market.

But in returning to your question, I have no intention of applying to those companies, even in an online or writing capacity. The biggest paper I'd probably shoot for would be the L.A. Times or possibly the Associated Press.

OK.. questions.

Bitmap: Why did you gravitate toward the Masons?

True: In what way would you say you've changed since entering the military?

Elara: Most pleasant memories of attending LBCC?

Xeo: When are you ever gonna get laid?

OK. OK. Serious question. Would you ever consider moving out of Kansas and heading up to, say, New York or out west to Los Angeles?

Family has a history with Freemasonry. And I wanted to carry on the tradition. Although right now I have not been to a lodge meeting in several months due to me carrying on with my own personal endeavors. I still talk with some brothers from time to time but I never have gotten out and did help with them for a good while. I have still continues to help out with charity at local bars and whatnot. I; at least still have this power to do so.

I guess it started out when I was very young and attended my first Shrine Circus. My grandfather on my mom's side is not only a Shriner, but he is also the head honcho of TOM's food. Which, I dunno if you guys have that in your area. But in the South, TOM's is a big deal in terms of snacks and groceries. Anyways, of course, my grandfather was one of the clowns there at the show and did a part in a lot of magic tricks and whatnot. But history would soon unfold when my Uncle came into the picture.

One night at his house I was kinda curious about Freemasonry. Seen how I heard of it before I asked and he had this look on his face like "Oh...really..." not to mention I didnt find out until I got my 3rd degree that the people who were there also that night were also freemasons.

Anyways, he was pretty much asking me what I knew and honestly; I didn't know anything. So I went with them on charity events, helped out as much as I could. Then finally a piece of paper was put in front of me one night. Although I asked for it. It was my petition to join the Lodge.

After that I spent a good two years in Freemasonry and got to the top with the Shriners. But again; I am taking a good break until I find my place in life before I go back. Meaning school, a career, and my own place. I don't feel proud of myself right now to honestly represent Freemasonry. Hense; the break. So yep!

Rogue. Ever thought about reviewing things? Like products and whatnot? Heard you can get free stuff doing that. And with you living in California i'm sure it's in good demand

I've reviewed comics, movies, plays, comic conventions, roller coasters, Halloween events, and such in the past for school papers (as well as my friend's geek blog a while back), and these days, the only thing that I can get myself to write are reviews on Yelp. You don't get paid for Yelp, but I've found that with how much I've been watching my grandmother, it's good for practice.

As for doing it professionally, that is definitely an option. I just might cook up a gimmick and pitch it.

Sounds like you were asking what I like Sexually.

The whole "Pony" thread I made was kind of a joke. Yes, I have watched about three epiodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And If I were to say I hate the show without watching it. I was closedminded.

MLP to me is just a show that's cute and all. But I can't see myself getting into it.

So obvious answer is this:

NWS NWS NWS

Nelrith, how do you feel about My Little Pony and do you feel there is a level of fandom that you would like to draw the line to?

I personally love the show. It takes me back to a time when cartoons were actually good. For a Hasbro show, it doesn't seem at all like a marketing ploy, but rather, they let a handful of great cartoonists loose to make something truly great!

As far as the fandom is concerned, to each his own, but I draw the line at safe-for-work fanart. Yes, I wear a MLP shirt (wearing it right now, actually) and I guess I can consider myself a Brony, but it's not some obsessive thing that has consumed my life. Well, except on Saturday mornings.

Hmm... Interestingly the army taught me that we as Soldiers should not be proud of our country because it's just based on a genetic chance. We are to be proud of what our country DOES to serve and protect what is the "Constitution" that has been amended so many times. The army has also shown that many Americans take a lot of shit in this country for granted. (Yes I'm refering to all the occupy people and all the people who voice their opinions on NDAA, PIPA, SOPA, etc.) I'm talking about people who comment on youtube videos that anonymous puts out. It's better if I give what the army has given me the theoretical thought on those examples

1. If you're going to stand up to something that is wrong in your country that is what you call "unconstitutional" don't put the blame on the President or the House. Put the blame on yourself for not speaking the fuck up and putting out your thoughts to even the interns that answer the phones and write memos. You're just standing still and PRETENDING to give a fuck.

2. If you did complain about something that what you consider unconstitutional and you did go through all the chains to express that... good on you. Now don't put the blame on the stupidity that goes around in the House. Go back and put out your thoughts again... and again... start up a group against what ever it is. IT HELPS IT REALLY DOES. (I know because the military stood up to losing their pay from the federal govern because of a shut down... oh AND the repealing of DADT... That was a funny thought.) If not you're just standing still and you need to keep moving forward.

3. If you exhausted everything all isn't lost. Keep going stop cussing about the system and work it. Call it a sort of hacking if you will.

4. Fuck that lead, follow, or get out of the way bullshit. That's called making a decision on a whim. Not a wise choice my friend. Instead follow stop, breathe, and follow what you think is right.

5. And yes there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. It's going to happen. Get used to it.

Oh and I also give a lot of gratitude to my military service too. If it wasn't for the repealing of DADT I would have to have sex just missionary and that was it. I would've lost rank if I was caught in the act of SODOMY. OH MY. =P

Elara: What about the cult of the Goddess? Are you still running that? =P

Kaijin: What is the point of scissoring and how is that such a turn on?

Rogue What's your unamazed come back to something extremely stupid?

It's a little surreal. It's a weird reminder to me how weird internet time is in general, maybe you guys can agree with me on that haha. It's just kind of insane that this incarnation itself is about 8 years old... not including the previous incarnations and my whole forum jumping experience on Acmlm Board's or whatnot. Safe to say you guys are like my second family or something.

Of course I'd like to continue to see XG thrive and grow more. It's never going anywhere, so if we can get in some new faces and make things a little more interesting around here that'd be pretty awesome. That's all I'd really like to see, just more activity and action around here. Wouldn't hurt.

Would be great to meet some of you guys someday, if that counts for what I'd like to see happen, heh.

Both options kind of scare me, hah. No I never really think about this at all. I'd like to stick close by to my family and friends. But who knows what'll happen.

I'd like to travel someday, but I'd guess most of us can say that.

I have a lot of those, actually. Mostly involving the Gaming Club and hanging out downstairs, at Anime Club, or outside the bookstore. I remember sleeping under the tables, playing RO, posting here, jousting in the quad... honestly I look back and think of it as one of the brightest parts of my life. Going to CSULB I didn't really hang out with many people or join any clubs, so it was a somewhat more lonely experience.

Honestly, I don't give a shit about what people think to be honest. Call me selfish, but I only care about one person. Me. If people overlook something about me then too-da-loo!

My friends and close friends only know me to the teeth enough to where i was labeled to have "Dale Moments" like only -I- have the personality to do. Baller.

But if I were to choose one thing it's that deep down inside. I'm a fucking nerd.

My friends are probably the main answer for this. But that aside, I would have to say the Pacific Ocean. As much as I bitched about working at the beach, I grew to love the sound of the surf and the look of the water at dawn, the sound of the sea lions barking, and the smell of the salty air. I think it was why I was so happy to go whale watching when we went out to visit... I didn't want to get off the boat at the end.

And ya know... I miss the convenience of not having to go far to find things in the urban sprawl, as ugly as it all looked. Never thought I'd miss it, but apparently I do.

Well I watch a lot of anime still, spend too much time on the computer, heavy metal, tits and destiny, etc. I want to get back into reviewing metal someday. I have like 100+ reviews on Metal-Archives.

Never really get out much but that's something I want to change and as the years go by the more I realize none of my friends are ever going to take that step (to get us ALL out), so I might have to be the one to take charge on that. I was kind of impressed how well my birthday party last year went, when I set it up in advance and a lot of people came, had a blast. I think I'd be one that would have a blast going to bars and stuff. When I drink I love being around a lot of people and just having fun, I am not afraid to talk to anyone when I'm drinking hah.

Not sure if you mean like school kind of clubs, or dance clubs, but both might be pretty neat. I'm kind of introvertely judgmental though and so I just fear that like if there's an anime club up at my local community college, it's probably filled with scary people and fans of shows I don't give two craps about, lol. "Doesn't hurt to try though?" has kind of been my motto for the past few months though, so who knows...

I think I set a goal to try and pickup another hobby sometime this year. I messed around with MODPlug a little last year, a tracker that makes music (Deus Ex and Unreal used this format) which was really cool to me. Maybe I could get into tracker composing, or try and pickup the guitar again. I was really good with the trumpet in grade school and learned fast, but yeah just didn't care for it. But a guitar on the other hand... I had one as a kid, but yeah. Now though with my metal obsession, and wanting to be able to cover VGM stuff with a guitar, that would kickass. Plus it's been my dad's #1 hobby since forever so he still dabbles around a lot and I always hear it, kind of keeps the interest there.

Perhaps that or I've thought of maybe taking up karate, boxing, or something like that this year to get out some aggression and junk. But I might just take the easy route and get a gym membership, haha. Maybe I'll do both this and dive more into music this year? I definitely plan to make 2012 a good one.

But yeah, safe to say gaming will always be the #1.

It depends on what they said and what vocabulary they chose, and I might play off it.

My go-to when someone says something incredibly obvious is usually, "No!" in faux-shock.

These days I've been hanging with this friend -- more an acquaintance, really -- who seems to have made saying extremely stupid things her own language, and yet I can't help but feel sorry for her and still invite her out.

The obvious would be times with the old group in the basement, but I guess to personalize it for my own experience would be some of my times working on the Viking and City Magazine, specifically when I got to cover fun events. Two of my absolute favorite professors I've ever had teach there: Debbie Whittaker (philosophy and Non-Western philosophy classes, had me over to her house for parties) and Bob Maxell (amazingly inspirational math teacher whose son, Mike, had a brain tumor, whom he still took cowboy action shooting and Wild West re-enacting with before Mike passed away a couple years ago).

I miss the little community we had, with the bunnies, and how young and worry-less we all were.

I've been to barcraft if that counts. It's basically a place where people who are over 21 to go to a bar and watch pro Starcraft 2. Surprised they hold it in ATL what with it being a shitty city and all.

However I would like to revisit Momocon this year. Which is about a month away. Had a blast two years doing improv stuff and karaoke.

I dunno. I want to aim high and go to Dragon Con and get fucking wasted this year.

Holy shit, Phoenix post!

Um... I just kinda always liked writing. The first thing I did was some school project in like third grade where we had to write a little storybook about a duck and that was really fun. Then I remember writing a story when I was in like seventh or eighth grade that I eventually trashed. Ninth grade had a lot of "use these vocabulary words in a story" assignments that really kicked my love of writing into high gear. I got As on all those papers, by the way. I don't think we really did much in class again until my senior year, and then it was another of those vocab papers and I decided to go all out with it. By that point I'd already become a gamer and had created my namesake character http://xeogaming.org/newreply.php?id=13830(Elara started as a D&D character for those of you that didn't know) and I'd created a huge backstory for her... and I decided to use that as my story... and to write a trilogy of books on her.

The story went over well, and I worked on it for awhile after that... but then changes to the world of D&D (cough4theditioncough) trashed that idea. I'd already kinda put it on the backburner for Darkfang at that point anyway.

Darkfang... well.... the idea just kinda came to me while sitting in my college English class one day. I started darting down notes and writing stuff and that was that. I still mean to finish it one day as well, but I've been kinda sidetracked by a different and much more pressing major project: Cobalt Nightmares. It's a LARP that my friends and I developed and is 95% my creation as far as the world goes. I've created the world, it's history, the cultures, gods, two languages (roughly), and a database of names that is going on 10 pages now. I do plan to write a novel in that world as well, I've just been lazy... and now there is school.

!X!: Where the fuck have you been? You need to post more, because it's been far too long.

Bitmap: As a gamer, what do you look for in a game?

This is a very difficult question to answer because either I can make a big post explaining what I look forward to videogames. Or I can just point to a trailer and say "Something like this". It's nothing really anyone can't answer repetitively and honestly. I really don't know. Ive been known to play games that are really "Out there" and a week later I'm hooked on something else.

But I guess as long as the game itself is fun and a lot of people enjoy it. Thats all that really matters.
