While that did make me want popcorn chicken, it still doesn't top your sandwich post... which I am also voting for.

I have found the greatest thing ever: Apple cider cake donut.

It's the nice think cake donut, nice and moist and tasting of fresh apple cider, coated in cinnamon and sugar. AMAZING!

Also, there is this strange bakery good here called gobs... basically two cookie-like things with cream in the middle. Generally they are really shitty in my opinion, but people are fucking nuts about them here. Anywho, apparently the mother of one of my new gaming buddies works for a place that actually makes really good ones (nice really good cookie-ish stuff instead of twinkie-like stuff, and real cream instead of twinkie cream... wow that came out wrong... anyway). Well, that said, pumpkin gobs. It's basically a cookie pastry version of a pumpkin pie.

Of course it didn't touch my sandwich post, it was just popcorn chicken... NOT THAT PULCHRITUDINOUS, FINE-ASS SAMMICH! Seriously, if looks could kill... that sammich could not only slaughter a nation but it could then RAISE THAT MOTHERFUCKER just to slaughter it again! IT DOESN'T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK! It rolled a cleric and its two domains were healing and FLAVOUR!

Ok, I lied, THAT was the post I am voting for.

... just had to throw the big words and gaming reference in, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?!?!

Um... yeah... I had an awesome 1/2 sandwich of roast beef and cheddar on a soft ciabatta roll. It was nom.

Just took an hour-long walk around the neighborhood. Had strawberries, an apple, and a bowl of Greek yogurt for a snack.

I'd made chicken fettuccine alfredo for breakfast again this morning.

Hey, at least the carbs were at the start of the day instead of the end.

I had half of a pumpkin gob (which I have confirmed is the same thing as a whoopie pie). Yummy but hell on my sore throat. But I also had Earl Grey tea with honey, so that was good.

For dinner we had pizza. Delivery, not Digiorno.

I'm eating these frozen microwaveable Angus cheeseburgers from Costco. They are surprisingly good.

I know, it is rather surprising how good those were the one time I had a sample.

I really wish that Costco was closer, I would so go to them over Sam's Club! I miss the chicken bakes!

I just made myself a smoothie. It has a yellow nectarine, a white nectarine, a peach, a plum, some vanilla yogurt and a little mango nectar.

Yum.

Had White King Salmon from the Columbia River for Mom's birthday dinner last night. Nom nom nom.

Just had a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch! after a short hike (1 1/2 miles) in the Nature Center.

We had baked tilapia seasoned with parsley, garlic, lemon juice, and no salt seasoning (I had my mom ship me some... how can something from the 99 cent store be so good?). Paired with it was Uncle Ben's wild and long grain rice (herb chicken and sun-dried tomato florentine mixed together). Very tastey... I wished I had a nice glass of white wine to go with it.

For dinner, had baked chicken breast that had been dipped in yogurt and rolled in lime-flavored potato chips and mixed vegetables (zucchini, purple onions, and red peppers). It was soooo good.

FINALLY something different. It's like we always have steak, dried-up chicken breast, stir-fry, or blah tacos.

Also had Moroccan-style mint green tea that I got at Fresh & Easy for a couple bucks. So good.

Tonight I am making the attempt of home made alfredo sauce for the first time... I've done chicken alfredo plenty of times, but always with store-bought sauce. I hope this turns out well.

Currently I have the chicken thawing out/marinating in zesty Italian dressing, and in an hour or so I will start on the sauce and cooking the chicken. Hoping for yumminess.

Yesterday was good. While hiking we snacked on salami and Monterey jack cheese with sweet basil, garlic, sundried tomatoes, and black olives in it.

For dinner (which we didn't eat until almost midnight), we went to this 24-hour coffee shop in Long Beach and had chicken fried steak, eggs, mashed potatoes, and sough dough toast for dinner. Will probably have it for breakfast. Yay, leftovers!

Just had a roast chicken breast and a bottle of organic unsweetened black tea. Not the best use of three bucks but I can tell myself its healthy.

Had some Greek yogurt and honey, and then some jalapeno Monterey Jack cheese.

Dinner wasn't anything special, just fried chicken from the market and French bread.

Ill probably end up making pasta for breakfast again tomorrow because I bought basil and garlic linguine noodles at Trader Joe's a couple days ago to go with the left over alfredo sauce.

Just made basil and garlic linguine (thank you, Trader Joe's) with garlic alfredo. Got garlic breath from hell, and I love it.

We had tacos for dinner along with some yummy Sam Adams beer... I had pumpkin ale and the Irish red... very tasty.

For desert was a peanut butter cookie with chocolate chips, topped with both chocolate peanut butter and double dunker ice cream... the later one is mocha ice cream with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough and ripples of fudge with crushed oreos.

Yeah... so totally unhealthy. So totally do not care.

That sounds so good, Elara.

After eating WAY TOO MANY chocolate cookies from the 99-Cent Store, had a salmon burger (I FUCKING HATE THESE THINGS) on sesame Ezekiel bread and mixed vegetables for dinner. Yeah... I really hate salmon burgers.
