So...I'm totally addicted to the music that comes with anime. If I could call any part of this form of entertainment an obsession of mine, it would be the music.

Inu Yasha for instance. Honestly, there's better out there...but the music? Omfg...some of the BEST I've ever had the privilege of hearing.

And it's Inu Yasha's themes, actually that got me into J-pop. They've used the same artist for more than one song several themes, which lead me to searching for actual J-music artists, rather than just the songs from only the series themselves.

Thus why I am utterly obsessed with "Every Little Thing." a band used twice in the Inu Yasha series. "Itasura no KISSU" is also one of my favorite songs, but used to be UBER hard to find.

Other shows that have music that I have been obsessed with are Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z( ESPECIALLY GT. Didn't like the series as much...didn't hate it though...but the music was my favorite in all DB Universe.) Full Metal Alchemist, Chobits, Magic Knights Rayearth, and I didn't get too much into the show, it was on ONDemand, but the opening and ending to Super Gals was amazing.

My question is this...can anyone earn my undying love forever and ever, or lackthereof should you choose, for telling me a good place to download just the music? Like...all of it? I'm also a completionist, even when I D/L this stuff. I like the titles going with the right series, right order(sometimes this is nearly impossible though, unless I arrange it myself.) and if there are several CD's, then all the music staying with their perspective CD's....yeah...I'm like OCD about keeping that shit organized...

But I am LONG overdue on my listening, so this would be much appreciated.

My fiance downloads his anime music from various places (he actually follows the artists more than the animes now), which actually makes it easier to search for the music.

He got Every Little Thing from http://z15.invisionfree.com/JAPANESE_MUSIC_DREAM/index.php?showtopic=165

this is the link to the list of artists

Ben says that if you can find out the names of the other artists, and if they are not on this site, let me know and he can tell you where to find them.

Yeah torrents might be your best option. My recommendation is to look up your favorite shows on animenewnetwork, then see if it's got details on the artists who sings the opening, endings, or insert songs. So from there then you can look around for the artist and their stuff.

I'm not big into J-pop myself, but I absolutely love Megumi Hayashibara. She's somehow in her 40's and really hot, but really she's an excellent voice actor AND singer. Sometimes that doesn't always work out well, but she does both flawlessly. She plays Faye in Cowboy Bebop so I want to watch it in Japanese someday... then she's one of the main characters in Slayers (does a lot of songs there), Rei in Eva, Ranma, and yeah. Just tons of big roles if you look her up.

44.

Yeah her voice turns me on.

YEAH I'M OBSESSED!

*points at my previous post*

At the website I mentioned you can download single songs by searching the anime series, artist or song title. There's over 6000 songs.

With torrents you'd have to download a batch or go through and download each separately, right? I prefer direct downloads.

I'm not always big into openings and endings and whatnot, however there are times where the songs are just amazing, and really refreshing.

Gurren Lagann had that rap theme, which was so deliciously wrapped in a dramatic orchestral opening. Umineko no Naku Koro Ni had that really incredible ending theme which spoke about the vice of desire, and had this very uncommon voice for a J-themed song.

Also, I'm a sucker for "Battlecry," Samurai Champloo's opening. Being somewhat of a warrior myself, I have to love it. D:

I'm rather partial to "Pre-Parade", the first opening to Toradora!

Not really. Torrents would be ideal for full OST's of course, but for single songs like openings, endings, or just a track or two then yeah I can see how DDL would be a lot more ideal.

**nods** BOTH sites were very helpful. I was able to get more of the J-pop songs I wanted from DDL. But when I only wanted a specific song or two, the other site is amazing too.

Knew I could count on you guys.

Oh wow, awesome to hear. Yeah I figured they'd be a nice way to recap the whole series a bit quicker than going through the whole thing again... which wouldn't be an issue though on the other hand, heh.

Haha, they're talking about Gurren Lagann, and the two movies. That second movie was redonkulous.
