I am currently in love with the most recent Blind Guardian album, At the Edge of Time, I think they really outdid themselves this time. And I LOVE that there are two tracks about the Wheel of Time and about A Song of Ice and Fire, that is just epic. And the song Curse My Name is just totally amazing and makes me want to develop some kind of awesome choreography for it.

Hell Yeah Elara! Fellow Dragonslayer!

I remember when I got to see Blind Guardian by sneaking into the auditorium wearing a Janitor's uniform back when I worked under the mouse. I still have that CD he signed for me all those years ago too hahahah

I also think it's funny that Hansi has an INCREDIBLE voice. But can't speak english worth a God damn. I mean he really tries. But that's besides the point.

Also their new stuff isn't really that bad. Still wonder why Hansi cut his hair though.

I always find it so interesting that these European bands can sing perfectly in English but cannot speak it. The power of music, huh? I think his speaking got better though... but I am unsure.

I want to see them in concert so badly, but I either miss the US leg of the tour or they play on the opposite side of the country. Even now I notice that as soon as I move out here they all start playing Philly only... and while I love them, I am not driving 6 hours or more by myself to go see them.

Listening to the available samples of the new Flogging Molly album. It not so fast-paced these days. It's sort of continuing the route of their last original album, Float.

I think it's great that they're evolving in other directions, but dammit the progression after Drunken Lullabies and Within a Mile of Home was epic.

Listened to the new Weird Al song that got everyone pissed off about Lady Gaga's manager supposedly rejecting it.

As usual, I like his song better than the original.

I still seriously doubt that it was the manager that said no originally, or at the very least that she had no idea.

I'm listening to "Aja" by Steely Dan.

It's a pretty famous song, so I might hear it at least once in my life... and now it's stuck in my head (but it's a pretty good song ).

So, Valhalla got me into this song...and I can't stop listening to it

Another thing I have been avidly listening to is Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. I'm not a huge fan of rap music...but he is amazing. His 'flow' is 'sick', for lack of better words, and the references he makes in his raps is ridiculous. The next two songs I'm posting by him are simply filled with obscure references.

Pink Floyd - Time

It'd been bugging me at work, I could never figure out which song this was on the radio, and by the time I got home I could never remember enough to search by.

Knowing it was Pink Floyd helped narrow it down quite a bit though.

Watching/listening to this deleted scene from Sucker Punch. It's stuck in my head now (but at least it knocked out "Perform This Way"):

Jizz in my Pants was funny the first time I heard it... then it rapidly went on the "songs I am sick of hearing" list because my friends would not stop singing it.

The Disturbed cover is AWESOME!

This has been stuck in my head all week, and not because I'd been watching it, but rather because I saw it months ago and only just NOW started editing my Anime Los Angeles pictures.

So, my little brother has got my into some dubstep. Not entirely sure it's a good thing, but this is rather nice to listen to.

Listening to an excerpt of Wil Wheaton reading Ready Player One, this new book that the geek blogosphere has been drooling over this week.

It's pretty interesting, but I keep yo-yoing between imagining it's Wesley Crusher and Fawkes from "The Guild" reading to me. I'm a geek.

I bought a new pair of headphones so I've started to listen to a lot of music that I put on the backburner. I went through the entire Animal Collective, Bon Iver, and Dirty Projectors discographies. A little sample
