Question, if the meek shall inherit the Earth, does that mean everybody else will be partying it up in Heaven for eternity? :smug:

If God is all-loving and all-forgiving, why is there Hell?

I used to ask that when I was in Catholic school when I was a kid and the nuns never answered it.

He's all forgiving. Doesn't mean you don't have to earn it.

The idea of an ever-burning hell has frightened countless millions! What really happens to the wicked after death? Are they “doomed to hell,” where their “souls” roast in “torment” forever? If hell exists, and the wicked go there, where is it and what is it? And when do they go? What about the resurrection of the dead? And the parable of Lazarus and the rich man? There are many popular beliefs about the fate of unrepentant sinners. Why such confusion? What are the Bible answers? Here is the truth about hell!

The Truth About Hell

I would definately read this Rogue. You might be surprised on how many christians have the completely WRONG idea about hell!

As far as Hell is concerned, I take the idea of "Hell on Earth" to heart. I do believe in reincarnation, and if you take the Buddhist concept of Karma, the truly wicked and unenlightened are doomed to stay on Earth in an unending cycle of rebirths, never to reach their Nirvana.

Atonement is harsh for a Buddhist.

I have heard that humanity to God is like a huge apple tree. When you see dead branches growing on it. You chop them off. It's called pruning. But there's a lot of other things that was in that sermon that I totally forgot too.

Yeah... Another Apocalypse that is not going to happen

The End of the World is something that will come up time and time again to stir up fear within those of the religion, it's simply what religion will use to exercise the control it has over the ones that follow it. They now have complete control over the person's life style and even political beliefs if the church tells them that a certain candidate is bad for a certain religious reason.

I do not believe in any form of hell, other than what is there already on earth. God will not give punishments and any of the sort. It is humans that do that, and to think that any higher form would be exactly like us is completely unreasonable. If there is a God, in order for it to be better than a human, it must have higher morals/ no morals in the sense that we view morality. God in essence may even be energy for all that we know. My beliefs is that fighting over which religion is better is pointless.

That's my perspective

I really like to ask the guy to give his house to me the day before all this happens. He shouldn't need it the day of. And if he does I'd like to hear his answer (or lack of) to the question of "why"?

The end of the world is not going to happen. Somewhere in the Bible it says that who ever guesses the end of the world will be 100% wrong. Those people probably read the Bible upside down or something

I think it's also kinda funny that I have been reading the book of Acts reciently and it kinda, in a strange sort of way, ties in with this very scenario.

It has to do with salvation and that a lot of people were asking John the Baptist "When will the Lord come"? John said "God will never reveil the time nor date. But he will come".

Then a few days later they did receive the Lord's grace. So wouldn't it be funny if like, three days after the 21st God would pull a fast one?

I mean, God does have a sense of humor and all.

Aaaannnnddd that did not take David C. Pack that long to debunk this

Basically, long story short he said: *Snicker* You guys are WRONG. And I can prove it! The Bible guarantees it!

Apparently this Saturday is NOT the end of the world. It's merely when the "elected" are pulled up into heaven.

The world is actually ending October 21.

OF COURSE it's going to be when I'm out of the country.

And again, if this case were true. Christ would have been here a year ago and we would have known about it according to the Bible. Not to mention a lot of the prophecy have not happened as of yet.

And here we go. Why May 21'st 2011 is "Impossible" for it to be Judgement. By David C. Pack!

I made a thread in the Debate forum about why Christians are deceived to this day and I have mentioned that I watch this pastor on a daily basis. He explains in details easy to understand straight from the Bible.

May 21st. NOT judgement day

Watch this! And be sure to have your Bible handy! Don't have one? Google one. This guy knows what he is talking about

Atheists are promising to adopt and take care of the pets of Christians taken up during the rapture. Just pay them NOW.
