So there are signs popping up all over the world in front of major churches and the sort. Signs point (That says so in the Bible mind you) that the end of the world is not in 2012, but this month on May 21'st 2011!

Judgement Day!

Daniel 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

However, now in our present day, God has opened up His Word (the Bible) to reveal a great deal of truth concerning the end of time (and many other teachings). Also, in the same chapter of Daniel, it says:

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

________

JUDGMENT DAY: MAY 21st, 2011

We know that the year 2011 is the 7000th year from the flood. We also know that God will destroy this world in that year. But when in 2011 will this occur?

The answer is amazing. Let’s take another look at the flood account in the book of Genesis:

Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Faithful to His Word, God did bring the flood 7 days later in the 600th year, on the 17th day of the 2nd month of the calendar aligned with Noah’s lifespan. It was on this 17th day of the 2nd month that God shut the door on the ark, securing the safety of its occupants and also sealing the fate of everyone else in the world outside of the ark. They would all now certainly perish in that worldwide catastrophe.

Genesis 7:16,17 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

My Thoughts? It says in the Bible that no man shall ever know the day when Judgement will happen in the world. Even the Angels in Heaven know absolutely nothing but only God the father has said that only he will know.

But the website does has some interesting facts and I even read my bible. So my thoughts?

If it does happen at least I am at peace with my God and hey, I'm looking forward to it. If it does not happen; oh well!

Well, honestly even most of the conservative Christians I know think this prediction is a load of bullshit since "no one knows"

I am just going to sit there on May 22nd and laugh at the people who were convinced that the Rapture was supposed to be the day before.

That is what a lot of people don't see. Sure, it's going to be THAT DATE according to Christians. However, we use a completely different calender system and also the Bible has it's own daily system in which it interrupts(sp?) the bible.

So laugh it up to the bank!~

However if this does happen I still would not be surprised.

Aren't there supposed to be other signs leading up to it anyway (other than Obama being the anti-christ).

Depending who you hear it from, there's supposedly been multiple Anti-Christs already.

Nero, Hitler, Caligula, Napoleon, etc.

The scary thing is that it might have already happened and we might have overlooked it.

I've always shrugged this kind of thing off. Truth be told, there are a lot of questions out there unanswered, no matter what religion you are, and in truth, different beliefs say different things. So, then there's the debate of "which is real." or perhaps, as I've always instinctively thought since I was very young, that maybe this is all just the time for everyone to try to get along despite differences.

Either way, no one knows. "Signs" are all debatable. As is the meaning of scripture and ancient texts. If it happens, it happens. Not much we can do about it. And if not, then like Bitmap is pretty much saying, awesome. I turn 23 the 14th of this month, so if it doesn't happen, then I get to be 23 a little longer is all that means.

Edit: To make things a little lighthearted, if there is ANY sign of the world's end, then it is the fact that my city has either won or seen it to the end as far as our sports championships are concerned, the past few years....so I've been spooked ever since. Haha.

I look at it this way, people see signs of the apocalypse all the time. Natural disasters like earthquakes tend to trigger more earthquakes along the same fault... so when there is a big one like in Japan followed by a lot of smaller ones (still strong, but smaller) everyone freaks out and they call it the end of the world.

The Black Death swept through Europe in the 13th century at the same time that we were going through a small ice age. There was famine because it was too cold for most crops to grow all the way til harvest (Famine), then the plague hit and people were dropping dead left and right (Pestilence), this caused a lot of land to become available because a whole lot of landowners died--which of course caused a lot of fighting over said land (War)... and with those three things going on at the same time, well, mentioning Death is redundant. So the people of 13th Century Europe basically saw the Four Horsemen all around them and were utterly convinced that the world was ending right before their eyes....

... And yet here we are eight centuries later.

Don't forget Conquest.

There's a digital billboard proclaimating this on my committed. While don't believe it, it is still rather ominous seeing it tick down every day...

Well, if you argue that AIDS and cancer are forms of pestilence, consider the fact that we are at war, and that we've got suspiciously insane weather ravaging 11 states at the moment, be it in the form of tornadoes or floods, it truly is the end of days.

I don't believe this to begin with, but for the sake of argument...

There's always war somewhere. I highly doubt a few localized wars are the kind of thing that foretells the end of the world. I'm reasonably sure your deity of choice isn't going to put all the warning signs in one place.

I'm not going to live my life huddling in a corner, scared for righteous judgment my entire life. Even if Doomsday undoubtedly hung its head right around the corner, I would unflinchingly go about my life as normal, probably telling my loved ones how dear they are to me one last time.

Then there are the people who huddle up in their bomb shelters with a thousand and one cans of baked beans and corn, thinking they could outlast the end of the world. Excuse me, but what part of "end of the world" don't you understand?

It's extremely hard to. I mean, we all have our faith and whatnot, but an exact date on Judgement day isn't something that everyone is going to know about.

But I do believe that it will happen. Just...not that date

that's what I was thinking too. Because I read up on something about this. Every time someone comes up with a date that means everyone now knows right? No one is truly allowed to know.

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night ..." II Peter 3:10

and

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" ...

"Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming, But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

"Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Matthew 24:36-44

Personally I don't think Obama is the anti christ. -__- It seems like he doesn't even have the power to even bring the world together under one mark seriously.

People have started up something like this but we are forgetting some other things that are supposed to happen during tribulation.

The First Seal (Revelation 6:1-2), likely the coming of the antichrist.
The Beasts and Mark of the Beast (Revelation chapter 13), the antichrist enforces loyalty.
The 144,000 (Revelation chapter 7), evangelists sent out into the world.
The Second Seal (Revelation 6:3-4), warfare.
The Third Seal (Revelation 6:5-6), famine.
The Fourth Seal (Revelation 6:7-8), plague.
The Fifth Seal (Revelation 6:9-11), the martyred saints asking God for revenge.
The Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12-17), a powerful earthquake.
The Seventh Seal (Revelation 8:1-5), the beginning of the Seven Trumpets.
The Two Witnesses (Revelation 11:1-12), two powerful adversaries to the antichrist.
The First Trumpet (Revelation 8:7), a third of the earth is burned.
The Second Trumpet (Revelation 8:8-9), a third of sea life is destroyed.
The Third Trumpet (Revelation 8:10-11), a third of the water is poisoned.
The Fourth Trumpet (Revelation 8:12-13), darkness on the earth.
The Fifth Trumpet (Revelation 9:1-12), attack of demonic locusts.
The Sixth Trumpet (Revelation 9:13-21), attack of demonic armies.
The Seventh Trumpet (Revelation 11:15-19), the beginning of the Seven Bowls.
The First Bowl (Revelation 16:1-2), painful sores.
The Second Bowl (Revelation 16:3), the seas turned into blood.
The Third Bowl (Revelation 16:4-7), the rivers turned into blood.
The Fourth Bowl (Revelation 16:8-9), scorching heat.
The Fifth Bowl (Revelation 16:10-11), darkness and pain.
The Sixth Bowl (Revelation 16:12-16), preparation for Armageddon war.
The Seventh Bowl (Revelation 16:17-21), huge earthquake and hailstones.
The destruction of Babylon (Revelation chapters 17-18), one-world system comes to an end.
The Second Coming of Christ (Revelation 19:1-16).
The Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:17-20).
The 1000 year millennial reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1-6).
The last great rebellion at the end of the 1000 years (Revelation 20:7-10).
The Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).
The New Heavens and New Earth (Revelation chapters 21-22).

Where is the mark? Seriously guys. Are we talking about the push for health care as the mark? I don't know but seriously... I have not seen any miracles performed by a fake Christ. I have not seen a mark of the beast and according to this list of events... The mark has been said to be something used so that we can't get anything as long as we accept it(from what I have read) We could be long dead by then. But no one truly knows however these are the events that were laid out by the Bible.

Along with this Revelation is a vision from one person from waaaay back. He had no clue how to describe what he saw. Seriously.

There's a ton stuff on the list that hasn't happened yet from what it looks like. We've had disaster after disaster but it seems a little out of order to me.

Edit: THe math makes no sense too

By Camping's understanding, the Bible was dictated by God and every word and number carries a spiritual significance. He noticed that particular numbers appeared in the Bible at the same time particular themes are discussed.
The number 5, Camping concluded, equals "atonement." Ten is "completeness." Seventeen means "heaven." Camping patiently explained how he reached his conclusion for May 21, 2011. "Christ hung on the cross April 1, 33 A.D.," he began. "Now go to April 1 of 2011 A.D., and that's 1,978 years."
Camping then multiplied 1,978 by 365.2422 days - the number of days in each solar year, not to be confused with a calendar year. Next, Camping noted that April 1 to May 21 encompasses 51 days. Add 51 to the sum of previous multiplication total, and it equals 722,500.
Camping realized that (5 x 10 x 17) x (5 x 10 x 17) = 722,500.
Or put into words: (Atonement x Completeness x Heaven), squared.
"Five times 10 times 17 is telling you a story," Camping said. "It's the story from the time Christ made payment for your sins until you're completely saved.
"I tell ya, I just about fell off my chair when I realized that," Camping said.

In my opinion, the anti-Christ will be somebody that is heavily considered by the majority to be the second coming of Jesus and that's how he will win a considerable following, thus separating the blindly loyal from the truly righteous.

This is a speculation of mine, of course.

The anti-christ does do that. HOWEVER. People believe that he won't claim God to actually perform his miracles. It's all himself. The devil is viewed as very egotistical and the son of the devil will be the same way.

What I believe is there will be a day where my NCOs will tell me that I will have to get a mark in order to stay in the army or do anything. No thanks. I am happy enough with my military id.

Plus our world... is NOT ready for the revelation. I have been educated in this. In order for the world to be destroyed everyone has to come together in an organized manner. You think the world is as organized as it looks? NO because right now we are a soup sandwhich and we are all STILL at each other's throat.

We gave Iraq up to a fat guy in uniform that is three sizes too small. (General of Iraqi Army) and yet we still have not left.
