And everyone in the store knows this.

This is the worst. The absolute worst news I have ever gotten working at this place.

A little backstory :

There was once a manager named T. Let's just call him that because I do not want to mention his actual name on the forums. So for the time being; let's just call him that.

Well, T was filling in for a manager whom retired. At first he was ok. I was in month three of my job at Olive Garden. And I was still kinda learning the ropes (Back then I only got 20 hours a week. Thus I did not learn my hosting position / Asst manager) and kinda messed up from time to time.

Well, enter T. This asshole. THIS FUCKING ASSHOLE. Is the absolute worst thing to ever happen to this job. The super GM of Darden was lighter than this tight ass. Literally, this man had no ass. Nonexistent. Piece of shit. Worryworm of a fucktard floatass.

What is so bad about him? He snaps his fingers to get your attention. He puts you down in the worst way possible. And he has this smug prick 'Better than God' attitude that he always shows off.

Well, I was the only person to stand up to him. Many times in fact.

The day he questioned and made fun of my stuttering was his last fucking day doing so. And I made sure of it. The one and ONLY day he ever put words in my mouth was the last. And the ONLY day he put me down was his absolute last. I made sure I let him know this. And put him to the back with my fingers to his chest letting him know so.

That's why him and I are seriously lightning cross at each other. He thinks he can run people over. But I made DAMN sure he does not do this.

Well, he is coming back to fill in for a position until another culinary manager fills his spot. Back then I was just a host. Now I am more than one position. And this time I will be working in the kitchen with him.

I'll admit that my speech isn't great. But he has once pulled a porky pig on me and I made damn sure he would never do that again. The day he did it I immediately called corporate office as well as every other cook in the kitchen who heard him say it. That's discrimination. And I know he hates me for not being able to speak correctly. Not only that, but because I am male in the hosting position. "Only females should be Hosts" is what he told me. And the person who SIGNS MY CHECKS corrected him.

Now? I am the top host in this restaurant. Top class. Seniority. I'm the one who bosses people around and has to answer to management. For the past four months. I made damn sure I did not have to answer to my paycheck. I worked my ass off to get this high up. And I plan on going higher up without having to serve tables. Only thing stopping me from being an official manager is my schooling. But I do not want to go to school for management. I want to go to school for other reasons.

I just want to get this out there just to say you know what? FUCK T!!!!

I mean, you're not making Olive Garden management your career so why worry so much about it? It's not the very best you can do, but maybe it is for him?

Yeah, we've all had to work with pricks in one form or another. But at least you got yours officially documented as discriminating against you.

Seriously, though, if you're interested in going to school for something else, I think you should really go for it. Leave the children with their petty drama and do what you want to do.

Because he has pride in what he does. This is nearly identical to the person who made me quit at TJ Maxx. I freaking loved working there but she was that one person who only had seniority because she had been there for 7 years (which she hung over everybody's head).

She was mad because I was a faster checker, counted money more accurately, and was overall more liked by the customers (even her "regulars")... Out of my complaints of her, she made fun of my stuttering and stole money out of the other employees' tills so they were all short at the end of the week.

Bitmap is proud of the work he does, just like me, but it takes just ONE douchebag to ruin everything. There's always one of these assbags in every job I find.

I'm sorry, but that just made me think of Chris Rock's rant about women who despise other women at their work and say "Dynasty"-like phrases like, "She's trying to destroy me!" when they work jobs that could easily be left for another (Source material).

I can understand pride in your work, no matter what sort of job it is, but it's not a permanent gig.

Hey, if you want to stay at these stores and restaurants, more power to you, but I think if you're interested in something else and there's bullshit to deal with here, why are you shouldering a burden while your eyes are on another prize?

I've dealt with all kinds of shit in every job I've ever had: office politics, us-and-them attitudes, people not carrying their weight, pointless gossip and drama, sexual harassment, people getting violent with one another, etc. Yeah, there is often someone I've had to work with who was simply too shitty to be around, but I've kept to my work, gave it my all, and moved on to the next job in line.

I realize that not everyone is interested in going to school or doesn't have the means and that it's important to at least like your job. I'm not advising to quit, but to at least look into the avenues you want to break into. Find something that really fits for you and make it happen.

In the case of where I live, I've been job searching for 2 months now, so getting and keeping a job is a big deal. It was like that even before the economy took a hit!

Well, so far I have not worked with him.

But his first comment to me was "You need a haircut".

Now, mind you, I was planning on growing this hair out. But I met someone and her and I have so far hit things off. But even she has commented on me getting a hair cut. Long story short, I went all the way.

Anyways, after the trim, T confronted me again and he thought that he was high and mighty. The same day he told me I should get a hair cut was the same day I got one. (Mind you that this is my day off.)

My comment?

"Oh, only reason I got a haircut was because I am dating someone named *** ***"

Mind you, that the bleeped out version was his own mother.

Who just so happens to be a friend of mine on facebook

And is also a wife to a brother of mine at the lodge.

This should be a really good fucking time. I mean I really hate that I am abusing my privileges and all. But he is asking for it. Seriously asking for it.

Also, I learned from the person who sign's my paychecks that if he bites that I can bite back. So...

TWISTED METAL MOTHER FUCKER!

Long story short is that I basically told him not to fuck with me. Period. He was confused that I knew his own mother's name. All of at the Lodge are gonna laugh about this on our next meeting.

Well tonight wasn't really that bad with the guy. He was very bossy, but in the correct manner. And none of that snappy stuff either. Needless to say, he was a hardass, but he wasn't being too rough.

A lot has changed in six months. I'm the leader of the pack. I can handle stress a lot better than just about everyone there. And most of all, I am efficient. I'm like a machine now. I get stuff done before the managers can even spit the words out of their mouth. Which is why I was promoted, twice.

But I talked with My other manager "J" and he basically told me that if anyone here has a problem with me, they have a problem with him. So at least I have managers who have my back.

"T" on the other hand was just in my way. Which was good. We were on a 15 minute wait all night tonight. On a Saturday no less. That's saying something.
