but yes there were horrible movies put out at the same time but that doesn't make The last airbender any less sucky.

I'm sorry. My boyfriend and I are actually laughing at how serious you guys are taking this.

Thanks for the chuckles, guys. It's just a movie. Chances are in the next 10 years there'll be a re-boot.

We're watching the Back to the Future trilogy just for fun. I never really watched Part 2 all the way through. Seems like all my life whenever I've tried watching it, I'd fall asleep.

Even though Part 1 is classic and one of the greatest movies of all time, Part 3 will always be my favorite.

The last movie I saw here was Time Bomb. A movie made back in 2008. Very trippy and very weird.

Someone at work got me an early Birthday gift and gave me Avatar on Blu-Ray.

I gotta say that this movie was actually really good. Not thought out like I was hoping. But remarkably beautiful; it really sold me on the special effects, and the 2nd half of the movie is what really got me shouting "HELL YEAH".

Now my dad keeps on mumbling on how "This movie does not mean shit unless it's in 3D, and kept coming into my room while I was watching it saying 3D this and 3D that".

Well, he really wants to check it out. So finally I got a little angry and said "Well too bad you can't watch this. Lemmie know when you get a 3D TV. By the way, the lowest end model costs over five grand".

He just scoffs and did not come back. Whatever. I still loved this movie.

Went and saw "Scott Pilgrim" again, and brought some people who hadn't seen it before -- namely Stitch and my boyfriend.

It's interesting seeing it again, after reading and re-reading the books again. I mean, I still prefer the ending to the books, but the movie has its own special details and jokes.

It'll be a massive shame if studios take its poor box office reception as a sign that niche comic book movies are not worth being made.

Watched the Halo Legends DVD(rip) last night...It was actually pretty cool. The first few were kinda slow and not too exciting, but the last one was the best. I'll be getting this on Blu-Ray soon.

I think the Halo Movie should be brought back up and done right...XD As long as Bungie approves of everything in the movie, it will be good.

Also watched Prince of Persia again (Blu-Ray) - I like it (haven't played the games) and I think a second one might be in order...Maybe do some of the other games in the series?

Scott Pilgrim was epic and I loved it. My wife thought it was fun and interesting, but missed some of the jokes. Overall, we thought it was a good movie. I'll be getting this on Blu-Ray

Tonight was movie night at my friends. We watched "Repo: The Genetic Opera" and "The Human Centipede." Over-rated, on both accounts.

I liked "Repo" better only for the Repo Man, himself, and Blind Mag. Otherwise, the costumes and the way it was shot were cool, but I didn't dig it overall.

"Human Centipede" I'd been avoiding for a year. I heard about it a little more than a year ago and the mere thought of it made me extremely uneasy and haunted my thoughts for a week.

Seeing it now, I can't figure out what all the fuss is about other than the premise of it. If you approach it like it's a bad horror film (it fits Rocky Horror almost to the letter for the first half of the movie), and just laugh at it you'll at least be entertained for an hour. Then it gets really boring.

I finally finished "The Fall" this morning. It was so beautiful. I nearly started to cry over the story-within-the-story. I really wanted to see it in theaters, but for some reason wasn't able to. Many of the critics said that while the movie is so beautifully shot the story is crap.

I disagree. I think those critics missed the subtleties. While I wasn't entirely happy with the ending, the movie is gorgeous. I liked the story.

God, they filmed in like 23 countries. I'm so envious.

I love the fact that Darwin's monkey is named Wallace and he refers to him as though he was that other naturalist who came up with natural selection at the same time he did.

It's just such a phenomenal movie.

Just saw "Toy Story 3" in 3D. I'm a sucker for Pixar and I adored this movie, especially as a Buzz/Jesse shipper.

Just saw "The Expendables." It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good either.

The CG was horrendous and there was A LOT of it.

It also felt shorter than it should have been, and I wished we could have seen more Mickey Rourke.

On the plus side, there are things that made me laugh: Terry Crews' parts and the very brief scene with Sly, Arnold and Bruce Willis (it's the ONLY time you see Willis and Arnold, of course).
