I'm sure it can, but since my stomach has been sitting that way for so long it's probably all misshapen anyway, so...

I'm not too terribly worried about it, I just can't swallow humongous bites. Either way I like to enjoy my food!

I didn't have it since birth though, I'm sure of that. I had regular x-rays for something I had when I was younger (not sure what it was) and it just popped up one year. Being a tubby little bastard didn't help, I'm sure, because they pop up in fatties more than anybody.

Holy shit, apparently I'm NOT getting the surgery done on the 6th and just getting in to see the doctor about it.

Even though I was told originally by someone else it was a scheduled surgery and I was going to receive further details in the mail about it.

And now I can't even get a price on the walk in because "The doctor has to know the specifics and all".

I'm trying to work around this to get a job and this is not helping at all.

Holy shit buckets could this get anymore stupidly complicated.

Fucking hell. I'm so sorry to hear that. Probably best to try to not find a job or get out much right now. I wouldn't want you to aggravate it.

You ain't kidding. Although to defend the doctors this isn't a simple "Walk in and get this done" type of surgery. This could take months worth of planning. So here is hoping your wait time is short and sweet.

Also, even though my dad had a double hernia he never had surgery. But he is starting to worry me lately. His knees swell up on most nights to the point to where it looks like he has baseballs inside of them. It's not a pretty sight. Not to mention he is royally fucked on getting any type of surgery thanks to his bad taxes and whatnot. I don't see how my dad can sleep at night.

Well everyone, I'm alive. Surgery was yesterday morning. Such a simple surgery turned into a nightmare, I can surely say that. When it was all said and done and I was in my private room getting ready to leave I told my mom "I'm never fucking doing this again", I've never said anything like that in front of her before.

So here's the chain reaction:
- We had to call in the day before because they never called, apparently they had an address and phone number to a place we lived like 4 houses back at. Pure luck.
- Firstly I didn't sleep Wednesday night. As you've all probably heard me say a lot, I do have major insomnia and it was just one of those nights. The slight nervousness probably didn't help. So no sleep probably didn't help at all.
- Secondly when we got there and I was talking with Admission to get ready, I was told we needed a financial aid counselor since we had no insurance, we were never contacted about this (again could be the address mix up), but they finally got a hold of somebody and the aid was pleased with how "pleasant" I was and I put down a chunk, hopefully that means they'll go easy on me.

- So I get in on time and go back to get my gown on and ready, get into bed and so far so good. I meet the anesthesia guy who was pretty fun to be around and another nurse was around, both asking questions and stuff. First off this place was a bigger hospital than I was at for my last surgery two years ago, so instead of private area's I was just in one big room with curtains separating me and other patients. A bit nerve racking. Well then the fun begins, the anesthesiast misses a vein on my hand and hit a valve or something, which absolutely hurt like hell. I didn't want to look at it, he's trying to fix that up while some guy across from me is asking questions and doing paperwork, then another girl comes in to do the same and all of a sudden I had for a first, what I'm guessing was a major anxiety panic attack. I started boiling and sweating like waterfalls, completely lost focus and barely answered the ladies questions, I can't even remember what she was talking about. Luckily one of the more profound nurses there got me going on anesthesia on my other hand so they got some fluids in me to calm me down.

Now all of a sudden other nurses noticed my wrist tag had a different code number than my paperwork. This was a huge deal and literally took them about an hour and a half to fix. So instead of 7:30, I remember going in around 9:00. This definitely didn't help my patience and anxiety.

Finally I get in and it was easy to get to that other table, get that mask on, I was ready. It happened and all went well from what I'm hearing.

But afterwords I wake up and the complications continue. I wake up to excruciating pain and on a scale of 0-10 I was telling them an 8, so they loaded me up with drugs. Now it gets worse because I have to pee real bad, so they hand me a container and I literally tried to go for about 30 minutes to an hour. I even was able to stand up with another nurse thinking that might help but it didn't. My heart rate was in the 130-140's and the nurse wasn't going to let me go anywhere. They then tell me all the pain meds can cause this and I'd probably need to be catherated. They did a bladder scan and I had 650 units of whatever when they said 250 is about when normal people go to the bathroom, so it had to be done. They basically stuck something up there and sucked it our or something. Not very pleasant but at this point I didn't even care and it felt good to get that all out. After this my heart rate dropped and I finally did better.

Eventually they took me to a private room to meet up with my mom, then I get dressed and almost starting crying from the pain and shock apparently, because it was so damn hard to get dressed. Got some gram crackers and sprite in me which was good. Finally wheel chaired out and headed home.

The whole day I felt like shit from all the drugs and took a few bites of my dinner, but it got better as the day went on.

Today I'm doing much better, got a lot of rest yesterday and the same today. Probably going to bed again right now.

So yeah, that really sucked ass. But it's over and I'm alive. I don't know if that's your typical day at surgery, but I certainly don't want to do that again.

I'm really happy to hear you finally had the operation, and that it was successful. But definitely not excited to hear about the panic attack.

Get well soon.

But the condition is removed, and that's what matters.

I hope your recovery goes without a hitch, Xeo. Hernias really suck.

Definitely getting better day by day... I think, it really hurts like hell if I move wrong or whatnot. I'm starting to wonder if I'll even want to go into school early this week, guess we'll see.

Was actually able to eat yesterday though. Feeling pretty normal today again too. Walking more too, but yeah the pain... I hope it's going alright and I haven't done anything crazy.

I will finally get to shower tomorrow. , then I've got to pull off this padding and I guess the rest of the stuff on there is dissoluble stitches that will be on there for about 2 weeks or something from what I remember them saying.

I think I mentioned I thought this hernia was giving me other complications? Because I have got to tell you guys, it feels like I have an entirely new stomach altogether. Even physically my entire lower stomach is flatter and feels so much better. I go in on the 10th for a checkup with the surgeon so I'll probably get some details then, I want to assume this hernia was moving a lot around but my mom said the surgeon said everything went perfectly and didn't mention anything was out of place. Pretty weird, but I'm so glad this seems to have fixed a lot more like I was hoping.

It's seriously just really weird. I thought it was some fat under my belly button, but it looks completely different now. This is a bit above where the hernia really poked out, so I guess it was just really putting pressure on my intestines or something.
