I want to know what is your favorite classic MB game.

I loved Yoshi's Island for the SNES. XD

I think it's a tie between the good ol' SMB3 and SMW for me.

Though the original is a classic for sure, SM2 despite being very different, I still loved it and the later levels had some really cool designs. And Yoshi's Island is definitely an amazing game as well, extremely long too!

I really really really need to get a Wii again and get New Super Mario Bros. Wonder how it measures up to the classics, hehe.

I dont personally own it, butI think it's pretty good, actually. Not the same as the originals, but they have ALOT of cool stuff. Im not sure I like the regeneration system (if you die and your partner is alive, you float after them in a bubble to come back), but it helps you get points. You compete with your partner(s) for points, and can help them or kill them by throwing them into lava or just off the map. I think its alot of fun. Honestly, this just might be my favorite Mario game, just because of the awesome party-ness.

I am a huge love-ist of SMB3. I actually got bored and did a full clear run of it a couple weekends ago after Valhalla failboated a run.

My favorite classic mario game is SMB3, it's just so good. All of the others are great too, but SMB3 just takes the cake. I was going to choose Super Mario All-Stars, but I didn't know if that counted

I remember a picture of SMB3 saying that it wasn't a real adventure that the entire thing was a stage play. XD Which it seems true because everything has a back drop or shadow in the background.

Yeah I can't help but love the SNES remakes. A shame Nintendo hasn't really done collections like that since.

Yeah they should do what Sega did with the Sonic Mega Collection by releasing all of his classic 2-D games on a later gen system. I would definitely buy that as long as they priced it in the $20-30 range and not charge the whole 50 bucks.

I was hoping to buy the GBA advance version of SMB3 online for a decent price, but could not find one. Instead, I went to GameStop and purchased a copy. Yeah, that's my favorite game out of the Mario games -- although the New Mario Bros Wii game is awesome as well. I think that third installment really set the stage for Mario and platformers though.

Just a classic Nintendo collection in general would be amazing...

But no, they're too busy with the stinky Wii. And I imagine they wouldn't want to risk any profit they probably get out of VC releases.

My favorite Mario game is a toss between the original SMB and SMB 3. I have been thinking about buying an emulator and going out and hunting down the old cartridges to play again. Go figure that despite having the new game systems, I crave playing the old ones.

Exactly. It's quicker to make money by selling each individual game for $5-10 than to sell them all bundled together on the cheap, stupid Wii. @Rose I feel the same exact way. Sometimes there's a newer game that comes along that I really want to play, but I'm always more attracted to classic gaming. @VG SMB3 definetley set the bar for all Mario games and platformers after it. All the awesome worlds and the joy of finding the secret flutes for the first time it's just perfect.

I think my biggest gripe over the VC is that it's the biggest waste of potential this generation, to me. Have you guys ever compared the Japanese selections of VC/PSN stuff to the US? It's disgusting how much better their selections are. And I could even careless to see half of them even translated, but seriously would it be that hard for someone over there to just work on some translations? That's all they'd need to do...
