Discuss. I like it a lot better than other theories, like Ultimecia=Rinoa which involves time traveling and multiple dimensions (thus is very silly to me). |

| Honestly, there are sooooo many theories about this game, that in the end, I'm just going to believe my own. But the dream theory actually sounds VERY interesting. A deep plotline imo as well.
Truthfully, that's one of the reason why I think the game didn't go so well with the general population. It was TOO deep. If you played it in a superficial level, and just took it as is, without thinking, then A) I can see where it came across as extremely cheesy as far as the romance goes, and B) General populace doesn't like to think. They wanna just sit and play/read/watch/whatever, something that's on a general level and simple to understand. And by general, I mean just about everyone. I happen to LOVE Final Fantasy, especially VIII. It's my favorite one. But that's the thing, there was enough on the surface to make me really fall in love, so I looked further into it and liked it more and more. Now, throw something in front of me that I don't really fancy too much, and I might not look into it as deeply as I have, say this game, and thus, miss A LOT of good things about it. |

You're confusing me Katana on that last bit. 
So far I'm passed the weird NORG stuff on the second disc... it's hard to say if the theory is good or not at this point. So far: - Rinoa starting to like Squall seems natural (theory suggests: Squall wanted her to like him) - Seifer started to become a little dumb/evil by the end of the first disc, chances are Edea could just be controlling him (theory suggests: "Why would Seifer change so much!?") - Still unsure how I feel about Squall not having a scar at all. Some people think Edea healed him to ask about SeeD, but I dunno. It's weird there would be no scar... in the beginning you see both Squall and Seifer slice eachother in the face, and they scarred. Is this symbolism here or something else? Hard to say. The NORG stuff is still extremely weird. I have no idea what to think of it. From what I got out of it this time, it was some big alien at the bottom of the Garden that helped fund the Garden... wtf. DS: What's the name? I'm guessing it's the GF Ultimecia uses or something? |

And yeah...this is why I usually don't post things when I'm rushing...XD I was pretty much bitching about how FFVIII is one of the less popular FF games. And, I've played others...and the story for 8, to me at least, seems deeper. It leaves more to think about. But that's the thing, to get anything more than a cheesy romance out of the story, it seems like it takes a lot of thought, and people generally don't like that, they want simplicity. And that's why I don't think many people see FFVIII for what it really is. Or can be, considering there's all these theories. |

Edit: I should post my covers I've done on my violin. Although not I'm not the best of violinists, they're still REALLY fun to play. And I should attempt to cover "The Extreme" now that I think of it. Its fun finding a way to jazz up the more complicated songs, because not every part of every song is done in violin, so I have to figure out what to leave out, what can be translated directly to my violin, and what sounds better changing up.
