I'm sick of Nightwish.... The janitor who dumps my garbage and what not blares it on his mp3 player... I'm tired of hearing his "I WISH I HAD AN ANGEEEL."

So a new contender has entered the ring... Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold"

That song keeps getting played wherever I go. It's all over the radio. Stores are playing it on their regular audio cycles. It randomly comes up on TV. Friends have her CD and are blasting this song.

Not a day has gone by this summer that I didn't hear this song, even in pieces.

All right, gotta add another one... The Ting Tings -- "That's Not My Name"

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Stop playing this song.

Seriously, I thought it was hip hop until I saw the video for it just now.

Well, it's official. Somehow Backstreet Boys found themselves back in current pop culture, leading to my creation of this post.

They really need to give up the ghost already. The new sound is a lot like Katy Perry. And that's definitely not a good thing.

Ugh.. "Straight Through My Heart"

I'm actually surprised that anyone hears Nightwish enough to get sick of it.

I'm kinda tired of a lot of things recently... I think I am just in a music funk right now.

I can't believe it, but U2's "Mysterious Ways" found its way into being a post here.

I used to love the song ... nearly 20 years ago. I had a single of it and played it constantly.

Anyway, haven't heard the song in like 15 years. Every time I go to this Mexican restaurant near my university that song is playing there. Not a problem. It was welcoming for a while. Then I noticed it playing at other restaurants. It came on at every different place I went to, it's even found its way onto the music rotation at a couple of the bars.

So yeah ... I'm sick of it.

That one song about her heart beating like a hammer.

I don't like turning on the radio in the car at random times in the day to be greeted by that song. I get it. Go away.

You're not even staying with a single song style. You're either a rock ballad or a pop song. You can't be both.

Aww, but Rogue, I really really like the "That's Not My Name" song. Still planning on doing that cloning video. But, I think I burned myself out on listening to it on repeat that one time for two hours.

It's not a bad song, it's just overplayed. It and the Katy Perry song were just trading off getting played everywhere I went over the summer. Good grief.

Between the two, though, Hot N Cold was the more repetitive and obnoxious.

Nothing really new to add this week. Other than to taunt each other in the office people start singing that "Meet Me Halfway" song at each other.

Welcome to the list, Lady Gaga.

A few months back, on a whim, I decided that I might as well find out what this Lady Gaga craze was, as I'd never really heard any of her songs (and if I had, I didn't realize it was her).

I dialed her name into YouTube and "Bad Romance" was the first vid to come up.

Ever since then that song comes up EVERYWHERE. Friends have it as ringtones and alert sounds for laptops. It's playing on the PA system in restaurants and stores. Oh jeez...

Hello, old thread. You're getting bumped.

Since it's been a good 8 months since the last post and there've DEFINITELY been some songs that have begun to rank among those I can't stand, this thread was long overdue for a bumpering.

Pretty much anything that Glee is covering is just fucking obnoxious, but I think what's worked it's way to being utterly destroyed is Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." Years ago it was fun to sing it on the rare occasion it would play at a bar or come on the radio. Now, it's EVERYWHERE, and everyone wants to sing it like they do on Glee.

Glee was more on the bandwagon though. I think Family Guy started the trend of people drunk singing it during karaoke, because that's been going ridiculously strong.

RIght now, my ultimate dislike is a cover band called Steel Panther... formerly Metal Skool. It's an 80's style hair band that does a lot of 80s covers. However, my husband saw them in Vegas, and proceeded to by their album. If I have to hear "My Heart Belongs to You, but my Cock is Communal Property," one more time... I'm going to burn the CD.

Another would be "The Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden as it was my husband's ringtone for over 2 years...

As for Lady Gaga and the Ting Tings... I love them both... dearly... lol

As for the blasting classical music... I've recently acquired Bach Six Cello Suites... which I play as I race my car. Since I have no air conditioning, I get some really strange looks when my windows are down.. ^-^;

Any Lady Gaga song.

I'm seriously the only person I know who doesn't find any of her music catchy.

They sing the Journey song at the end of the Hanging at Haunt this year... but I actually enjoyed it.

I am with you on the Glee stuff, it is getting really old, and now they are going to ruin Rocky Horror.

working at a radio station that plays nothing but top 40s and some requests. I tend to dislike songs that are remixed knock offs on the originals.

In all honesty...

The Time Warp.

Because Fox is trying to plug the shit out of Rocky Horror since it's 1) the 35th anniversary year, and 2) they're releasing the Blu-Ray soon, the Time Warp is getting played everywhere over and over again.

Ugh...

The song had made its way into print on top of that. Every single article I've read on a special screening or RHPS convention or something about the movie they love to write headlines and leads that go, "Blah blah blah does the Time Warp again!" or "So-and-so time warps through who-the-fuck-cares?-not-me."

Oh goody, and Brandon gets to sit around and learn to play it. I get to hear it day-in and day-out for a week.

Literally, I got a bit tired listening to any same songs over and over again and that is mostly Britney Spears.

So for some reason I've had the first song from the South Park movie stuck in my head, specifically the part where Stan's mom is singing about him being a "picture perfect child. Just like Jesus, he's tender and mild, even wore a smile when he wore a thorny crown," etc.

So yeah, that.

And the entire soundtrack to the Rocky Horror Picture Show is pretty much completely dead to me now.

That's sort of sad. RHPS is amazing, you should never let something as retarded as Glee can be ruin something so amazing. I like Glee sometimes, but they did kinda murder Rocky Horror. Sadly. Oh well.
