One thing I never get about these Mac vs PC things is that the Mac is always shown as a casual guy, where as the PC is always shown as an office worker.

Now I have a PC (Three in fact), and two of them pretty much only get used for games, and the other one is only used lightly for school work and story writing, the rest of the time it's used to play games too. Surely a game player would seem more casual than someone who likes to arrange their photo albums prettily and edit movies with a programme only slightly better than Windows Movie Maker...

Gonna disagree with you there, cause Movie Maker is one of the worst programs out there, and Final Cut Pro is... well pro...

...am I the only person that actually doesn't mind Windows Movie Maker?

That said, I'm a hardcore PC, I just hate all of the automatic functions that a Mac has, it's too little under my control.

Macs do have better security though.

And what would these so-called automatic functions be?

Macs do have better security though.

False. There just aren't any viruses/spyware/adware designed for them.

Automatic extraction of zip folders, a log of everything you've deleted so taht it can be easily recovered, and some other stuff. I really don't know that much, just that whenever one of my friends talk about it, he's like, automatic, automatic, AUTOMATIC!

So yeah, it could jsut be him.

Eh, better security, less need for security...either way, I wouldn't be getting my computer hacked as much.

The real question is, is it OSX or Windows you hate because technically a Mac is a PC in the literal sense.

PC = PERSONAL COMPUTER

I don't like OSX but macs are now using all the same hardware PC's use lga 775 processors and such. They are just a pain in the ass to upgrade. Second, bootcamp makes it possible for you to buy a mac and install windows on it for your gaemin pleasure.

Also, if you really don't know what industry professionials use in regards to movie editing, I really don't think you should go toe to toe with FX in regards to that lol. We've had lord knows how many debates about this between us.

Macs are designed to be user friendly and handle most of the things most avid PC users like to do themselves. You need to keep in mind that the systems are designed for ease of access. Windows can baby you only so far but it really isn't built to be extremely user friendly.

Oh yeah and Noah, don't you dare say there are no virus's and spyware/malicious for macs. You know I could prove you wrong lol.

In my opinion, people debating OSX vs. Windows is stupid. They're just different operating systems, that fit different people's different personal preferences differently. It's like arguing which is better: a Corvette or a 4Runner. Well, if you like to go super fast down the street, get yourself a gorram Corvette; but if you like offroading, you're gonna get a 4Runner. The difference between OSes isn't as much as between those two cars, though, but still.

...

Also, you can't get a Corvette that turns into an off road vehicle when you hit a button, although that would be super fucking badass.

EDIT: Just watched the movie. It was good. Grossly inaccurate, but good. Also, the Mac looked like Sylar, and I now officially hate the stupid "annote videos" thing that YouTube has.
