So, I heard of some refugees from vietnam from my grandmother a while ago. I heard that they had very little money, have a huge amount of trouble getting a job, and due to a few things, could never actually get an education to get ahead in life. So, I realize taht computers would really help them...

So, as a couple of you probably know, I've spent the last year trying to do a big project for Boy Scouts of America. My project was going to be to collect ten computers(I collected 18, from my church and various organizations, ten of which worked), build them, and then give them to vietnamese refugees, and teach them how to use it.

Well, it was a lot of work, but I got some volunteers, and for just building the computers, I got 68 hours of labor. Fun, right?

Then today, I delivered all of these computers to people who have never even touched a computer before, and taught them how to use them. These people now have at least decent computers to use, which in today's world, is a really, really important thing. They've got a way to do research, a better way to do writing, and a new way to learn english. All of them is very, very good for them.

So, I'm feeling very happy with myself, because from my volunteers alone, I got over a hundred hours of work, all of which helped these people a lot, and if I ad in my number of hours of work, this would amount to a much, much larger number.

So, hurray, it was a lot of hard work, but I'm glad it's over.

Reminds me of when I built computers for the Performance Learning Center in Harris County Georgia. Not only did I get community hours, but I felt good that I am able to aid students in the same school I graduated from.

Not only that, but I also did community projects for the elderly while at that school. I helped did the sound for that play, my acting at the time was for God at my local baptist church.

It feels good, now I am helping to design a website for a church right down the road from where I live and 3 people who go there joined with me on Folding@home (Which you can check out on my profile).

Feels good.

Yeah, service in general feels good, which makes me feel lucky, because in my church then I get a service opportunity practically every week.

But yeah, this took a lot of effort, and showed me whaqt I could really do. I could coordinate people to give away computers, I can get businesses to listen to me, and most importantly, I learned that Ican lead people to do something. But still, all of how it helped me is nothing compared to how much it will help them in the future.

Does this mean you'll actually respond on MSN once in a while again?

A big congratulations on a job well done though. I know you've put a lot of effort into this, considering how busy you've been in recent months. TOO BUSY TO TALK TO ME MIND!

I guess it gave me a break from your siblings screaming down the microphone at me though.
