| Just finished up with Feast for the Crows by George RR Martin a little while ago, now im just waiting for A Dance With Dragons to finally come out. I'm pretty sure it's about a year overdo also.

| I just finished Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America (by Barbara Ehrenreich) for my American studies class.
Pretty much this journalist decides to try out what it's like to be entering the work force after theoretically losing welfare benefits and/or getting a divorce just to see if she could make ends meet, like normal working class people do, on little to no education, and on a maid, waitress, or Wal*mart employee's salary. She failed every time, despite having her own car, no children, and $1300 of her own money set aside to work off of when she needed anything. She also broke character several times. Right now I'm reading With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa (by E.B. Sledge) which is a memoir about being a marine in World War 2. Reading it for history. After that I've got Tortilla Curtain (by T.C. Boyle) for American studies. |

| Finished Tortilla Curtain and got halfway through Old Breed before I had to skim it for answers on my paper. I may finish it somewhere down the line, but I don't think it will be anytime soon. It gets pretty gruesome at parts.

| I'm currently going through:
- Memories of my Melancholy Whores (Gabriel Garcia Marquez) - Place of Dead Roads (William S. Burroughs) I've been spending more of my vacation time knitting, though, since I can do that and listen to things like re-watching the first two seasons of House. I still need to read Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, especially since I bought a first edition copy over Thanksgiving break. I guess I'm just waiting for it to come out on paperback because I don't want to mess up the copy I've got. |

| Well, I am reading Bard: The Odyssey of the Irish right now between class work and it is very interesting. I recommend it to any who like Celtic things.
Also starting Byzantium, Surprising Life of a Medieval Empire for my class on the subject. And reading In Glory's Shadow about the first woman to enter the Citadel for my women's history class. |

Started reading Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist, book one of the Riftwar Saga (more fantasy stuff) and so far it is very entertaining, I hate putting the book down... even though the main character's name is Pug, which I just find silly. |

| I just finished reading the Immortals After Dark Series (consisting of A Hunger Like No Other, No Rest For The Wicked, Wicked Deeds On A Winter's Night, Dark Desires After Dusk, Dark Needs At Nights Edge, and just released-- Kiss Of A Demon King) by Kresley Cole.
Now I'm reading "The Year of Rogue Dragons" trilogy. I just finished 'The Rage' and now I'm on 'The Rite'. The third one is called 'The Ruin'. They're all by Richard Lee Byers. It's a really good series. One of the better ones I read in awhile. Ahh speaking of good series'...this brings me back to The Bartimaeus Trilogy...(consisting of The Amulet of Samarkand, The Golem's Eye, and Ptolemy's Gate) But anyway. The YORD series is as follows-- The Rage: "Renegade dragon hunter Dorn hates dragons with a passion few can believe, let alone match. He has devoted his entire life -- a life spent in the twisted body of a half-golem -- to killing every dragon he can find. You might feel the same way if one of them had killed your entire family in front of your eyes, bitten you in half, and left you for dead. Killing one dragon at a time is hard enough but when the irresistible impulse to slip into feral madness beginsto overcome not one, bit every dragon all across Faerūn, civilization's only hope may lie in the last alliance Dorn and his fellow dragon hunters would ever accept. No matter what happens, the next year is going to be a difficult one for Dorn, and for Faerūn itself. The Year of Rouge Dragons has come." | The Year of Rogue Dragons trilogy is a great read, I finished them awhile back. I love D&D novels, Forgotten Realms ones in particular. Have you read the War of the Spider Queen series? Byers wrote one of them. | |||

| Don't think I've read the anthology yet. Been meaning to.
So I am alternating between The Feminine Mystique (for class, but interesting) and Dragons of the Cahayogah by S. Andrew Swann. It is always interesting to see a sci-fi writer do fantasy... basically, a portal to another world (filled with magic and stuff) opens up in Cleveland, OH... plot ensues. |
